Tbh i honestly didn't expect meshing to be fixed in the dlc. I fully expected them to wait til post release to see how people manage it before fixing it

@@BlazingInferno00 meshing will never be fixed, they cant do it. the devs have actually stated it cannot be completely fixed without remaking the game from scratch. literally nothing they can do because of how they designed the game to work from the start, hence why everyone left pvp.

@@TheRealRip-Tide We have 3 different maps of pure dinosaur survival (island, center, valguero) with like 100+ dinosaurs and then a map with more hardcore survival elements (scorched earth). Valguero was 6 months ago/the previous major update too.
And the new stuff IS cool. Just as cool as the dinosaur gimmick was when Ark first came out.
thedarklordx you say pure when you should look at ark pvp videos today there so bland and the same thing: tek, manas, soaking and so on. No real pvp with a variety of dinos and nice bases that look prehistoric

I honestly like all the new stuff especially aberration and some genesis stuff, but I would like a new official DLC that kind of goes old school Ark and focuses on Dinosaurs
The new stuf is cool yeah. But its all tek so unless your playing pve or are a part of a large tribe youll almost never be able to get to that stage and enjoy it. The pre tek stage is the most fun.

At night on the center map you can see the guts/bones of the whale (slight disturbing because it’s almost the only thing you focus on visually

When I started playing ark back in 2016 meshing was able by finding holes in the map now in 2020 you can mesh with a flying space whale 🐋 who said technology isn’t great 👍 thank you Wildcard 🃏

Astro means relating to the stars/space, from the greek Astron, which does mean star.
Meshing is still gone. You can still mesh in the game, but that doesn’t matter because now they have stuff to detect if you do. There are many ways to mesh. They didn’t patch meshing methods like people assume. They just made it to where you can’t get away with meshing without being detected. Thus eliminating the problem. You’re welcome
You know they've always have had mesh detection there are ways around it. I play ps4 pvp official it's one big melting pot for cheaters

The cosmic energy/power is the teleportation ability, if its low you cant Teleport, hyperdrive is its speed, The more you teleport, the more you speed up, the Ambergris is found in the green rocks as shown in ark wiki

Nuka actually does quite a lot of damage to structures but you have to be close to do damage since it's a tek saddle. It also gets shot down by turrets.

Dino comparison:
Rex: King of Dinosaurs, has a large bite for tearing into flesh and eating small critters, does moderate damage and is rather slow, its roar scares anything that isnt a pube hair over its height
Space Whale: A flying hulking mass of blubber, has the ability to literally go into hyperspace for less than a nano second, has a huge bite where it can eat prey even tho it doesnt have teeth, has a tail that it's around the SIZE OF A REX, the damage of the tail whip and bite?

You can build a safe spot for u if u flying upstairs with it to the turrets and don't hold his head down.

So the mesh fix isnt really a blanket fix for getting in the mesh, but a barrier for most places once in there. You get a certain amount of time while in specific places.... unless you can make it past those barriers then it's a free for all until you encounter another.

I’ve not played ark in about 2 years and I’ve come back to nothing but bad surprises. This is completely different to what I was used to. This looks like a futuristic polish mythology fantasy
if they change the teleport distanze and the teleport through walls its really cool
also you can mesh with the bottom front gun you just stick it into the ground and shoot it into the ground and you can destroy cave bases. happened to me :)

@thickfreedom I have a issue with my whales. When I dismount they still moving sometimes. Even if you whistle not to flollow. They still move away as wild animals. Do you know why?
From what I am hearing it sounds like a living ac130 that can teleport through walls and drop bombs that destroy dinos

So the whale can mesh under map fly under your base with a bunch of turrets designed to take out structures.. looks like it was designed to mesh. Do they do any testing whatsoever ?

not quite everything I need to know. I need to know the size of an opening in wall size width and height that it can fly through? I want to build an enclosed structure to trap it in but I need the opening larger than the behemoth gate so I plan to kite it through the unfinished wall and then quickly place a behemoth gate down behind it to trap it in.
I just tamed one of these badboys, but my only issue, is that when its idle, it like to take off and then stops like 200 feet away. Is this a glitch?

I think the way they will patch it it will nerf the teleport through walls and the teleport point will indicate where the nose of the whale will move to

WC don't know what collision boxes are it seems. It's exactly why the new floating platforms are pointless when someone can make a thatch boat and C4 it buy clipping the raft into it.
