Not a chess expert (just a regular player) I found 26. Rd7 to be winning (at 5:37) case 1: if 26. ...Qg5+ then 27. f4, if black queen moves to safety then 28. Rd8#, if black queen does not move then it's the same with case 2. case 2: there's actually a lot of variations but white has a crushing victory in every variation (at least the ones that I found). If there's anything I missed please do tell! I'd be glad to learn.

That is what happens when chess arbiter tries to play against super grandmaster :) Actually Schmid was quite a good player himself, but of course not in Keres league. Later he was chief arbiter of Spassky-Fischer match and in other very difficult World Championship matches. Karpov-Korchnoi 1978 was probaly the worst for arbiter because players had such a bad feud between them. They even did not shake hands and always had lot of complaints and protests against opponent and his team.
After Black Queen to f2 why doesn't Keres capture pawn on f6 with the Rook. If Black Queen takes the Rook, it is checkmate on b7. If Black tries to stop the checkmate with bishop to c8, then Queen takes rook on d8, protecting his rook on f6 and pinning the bishop on c8
