Today, we’re going to talk about endometriosis. I’m going to cover what endometriosis is and what you may be able to do about it.
    What is endometriosis?
Endometriosis is endometrial tissue outside of the uterus. Endometrial tissue is composed of partially glandular and partly connective tissue that also has immune properties.
Glandular tissue is highly sensitive to hormones, primarily estrogen. This is why women who have estrogen dominance have a higher risk of getting this condition.
    Endometriosis symptoms:
    • Chronic inflammation
    • Pain in the pelvis and pain internally
    • Dysfunctional menstrual cycle
    • Infertility
    • Painful intercourse
What causes endometriosis (7 potential causes):
    1. Cotton (GMO)
    2. Dairy
    3. Soy
    4. GMO-Foods
    5. Grains
    6. Grain-fed animal products
    7. Sugar (GMO)
    What to do for endometriosis:
    • Go organic
    • Consume a natural vitamin C complex
    • Consume a natural vitamin E complex
    • Consume selenium
    • Consume omega 3 fatty acids
There is an enzyme in the body called aromatase that converts testosterone into estrogen. Some of the estrogen that’s creating the estrogen dominance situation could be coming from testosterone. A good alternative would be to take an aromatase inhibitor. Stinging nettle root is one of the best aromatase inhibitors, and you can take it as a supplement.

I’ve suffered since I was 16 with excruciating pain and thought that was just my lot in life. Finally at 45, after deciding to be pushy with doctors, we discovered it was endometriosis. Had surgery last October and apparently it was all over. We need way more research and help with this than there is! I can literally feel it growing back with sharp pains and inflammation regularly

I have endometriosis, adenomyosis, leaky gut, and fibroid and used to have ovarian cyst. My gynaecologist and kine advised me to cut sugar, gluten, dairy and meat from supermarket except . Eating a lot of red rice, quinoa and buckwheat. Lots of sweet potato or potatoes, brocolis, and pumpkin. Drink sencha green tea, ginger curcuma tea and pomegranate juice.... It's difficult when I'm invited so I bring my own food. My friends are supportive, so they understand 🙏 I also need to do a lot of exercise, which is hard because I'm always tired. I can recommend some things to reduce menstrual cramps which helped take my cramps from a 10 to 1 . Calcium and magnesium helped reduce cramping. Also take lots of ginger, omega 3s and evening primrose roil and cinnamon the week before your period as they all reduce the inflammatory prostaglandins. Also taking an anti histamine about 2 days before your period reduces cramps, heavy bleeding and helps you sleep better, histamine is inflammatory and can often spike around your cycle to trigger problems

I took my granddaughter (17) to see a gynaecologist yesterday (UK), she has been having all the symptoms of endometriosis for over a year, bleeding 3 weeks out of 4, constantly, heavy, extreme pain, to the point she can barely walk, the 'expert' dismissed diet, said as she had already had a scan which came back showing nothing, she could not have it, all she did was promote the Mirena coil. My grand daughter refused, and is now following Dr Bergs regime, time will tell, but I feel all the Doctors do these days is peddle drugs or useless treatments!

There's a girl on TH-cam who has PCOS, which I know is different, but her periods are extremely painful. She made a video about experimenting with period cups rather than using pads or tampons, and she said using the cups lessened her cramps significantly. She has no idea why, but it may also have an effect on Endo patients. The girl is named RawBeautyKristi if you want to find it. The title says something about Period Cups, and she used them for 6 months before making a video.

My wife has trouble in the womb area.
Whenever she’s stressed, whether it’s work stress, whatever stress, her lower sacral area gets affected. It's not just during the time of the month. And when it acts up, it's like indigestion and cramps and sharp pangs to the lower tummy area and it can really bloat up to the point it looks like she’s a month preggers. Not only that, her lower back will act up with spasms and the resulting effect of that is exhaustion and fatigue.
This is obviously a combo of many things, continuing years of ongoing stress... chronic stress symptoms, and it does shows in her body especially when I she’s mentally affected by something or someone...
Shes trying some Chinese medicine to help warm up the womb and some acupuncture, but willing to learn more. Sometimes the discomfort and the symptoms set her back for days.
She doesn’t have heavy periods but I thought I’d comment here too as she does have the symptoms of endometriosis.
    Main symptoms:
Painful spasms lower back - right up to a week or 2 before period
Lower painful abdomen during period and even after.
And also, she feels unwell especially before period begins. Flu like symptom. It’s a pattern.
    Sometimes cramps.
When stressed, same symptoms almost like she’s about to have another period but nothing comes.
One detail... she’s a leukaemia survivor. 7 years since she was diagnosed. I need her to live healthy and pain free (as much as possible) for the rest of my life at least.
    Any info appreciated. Thanks.

That sounds like the same symptoms I have and I was just “officially” diagnosed with endometriosis 6 months ago after a laparoscopy. I have the back spasms and exhaustion too even if I’m not on my period. I think that happens when you have been undiagnosed and untreated for a long time which was definitely the case for me. It just spreads or gets more rooted overtime. Most of the visible endometriosis lesions my doctor removed were on the back of my uterus facing towards my back and rectum. The pain is less intense after the surgery but it’s still there because the endometriosis might be microscopic. I’m thinking it might even be growing directly on my sciatic nerve because sometimes it feels like something snapped in my lower back and I get sciatic pain down my right leg all the way to my foot. It definitely gets worse when I’m stressed because I hold tension in my pelvic area often.
It might sound hoaky but I listen to sleep meditations and hypnosis by Michael Sealy on TH-cam and it really helps me with relaxing and loosening that area. There was a point before where I was in complete agony from the lower back pain and it affected me mentally. Those meditations were the only things I could do because I didn’t even know why I was having that pain at the time. It’s worth a try.
I’ve also recently tried Ovira which is a mini clip-on tens unit with electrodes that you stick on your pelvic area and it gives off a current. I use on my lower back too and it definitely helps a bit better than taking only painkillers. It does not get rid of the pain permanently though as it’s only targeting the nerves giving off the pain signal. So once you turn it off the pain will come back. Still better than nothing.

While this is all great information. You left out some important facts. Those of us with endometriosis were born with the abnormal tissue outside of the uterus. They have found endometriosis in autopsies of both unborn fetuses as well as babies. This is a part of how they've discovered we are clearly born with the endometrial tissue outside of the uterus. This tissue has been located in the lungs, bowels, and even in the brain in some cases. While diet is essential for good health and is helpful in many ways, it's important to know that in no way is it a cure, or eradicator of all disease. Often times without meaning to good intending folks negate that there are other medical factors involved outside of diet. The combination of both is often necessary, and often times the two combined still leave many people with unanswered questions.

    Ugh bane of my life!!!
I have hypothyroidism so its been a balancing act for what seems like an eternity. I had SS pans, natural hair shampoo/deodorant/toothpaste and cleaning products, white vinegar, laundry eggs or liquid, and washing up liquid (no SLS/Parabens etc). I was taking pregnenolone twice a week, 15mg of lugols, T3 etc etc....all this really helped and I managed my hypothyroidism and periods were OK, not bad, not fab with Diva/Moon cup. I was on 20 - 80 gms carbs a day depending.
Then they started to get worse when I became a housekeeper using hotels chemicals maybe?? I was also on road living in car so water came from bottled water sources. Was diagnosed with a 7cm x 5cm endometrioma on left ovary with another small one on right. Also have fibroids and pelvic adhesions.
Became homeless after spinal surgery and charity gave me a load of toiletries which of course werent natural and when got new home the pans werent ceramic or steel.
Well those endometrimoas have grown significantly in 3 months my gyne surgeon said. I also attribute severe stress to this, and being skint waiting for PIP disability payment, I have had no choice but to use normal milk, not raw or organic.
Going for yet another scan tomorrow, they done so under the "two week rule" which means they query CA.
I upped my iodine to 75mg per day, got some progesterone cream, and replaced all my toiletries for natural alternatives. Getting some ceramic pans in a cpl weeks. I got some extra money so can at least get organic milk. Raw milk farm is 20 miles away :(
This shits real....but I am feeling benefits of iodine the most. 15mg simply wasnt enough for me.

Now, who knows what that means? Do the women with endometriosis use pads more because of heavy bleeding or do Tampons have a protective effect? No one knows. But, there is no association between Tampon use and higher rates of endometriosis.

Of the theories of the origins of endo, it's the most flawed since 90% of menstruating people experience retrograde menstruation yet only 10-15% have endometriosis. Research for the theory was also only done on cadavers, not on live patients. Why it continues to receive so much traction I have no idea.

Can you please do an updated video about endometriosis. But add in what someone who is eating carnivore should do.
I have been carnivore since June 2020. I am having a flare up. I am unsure what would cause it except for the beef source I eat.
I am very sensitive to foods with histamine. So I don't want to just add something without knowing I won't have a reaction.

@@DrbergI made some changes when I was recently diagnosed with endo. Started to take vitamin E , C , D, Omega 3 fish oil, Zinc, probiotics and started gluten free diet and dairy free and I do feel a little better and time will tell because it's only been like 3 weeks since I was diagnosed and started this journey. Finger crossed 🤞 I think I'm going to add Vitamin A and B complex and maybe NAC as well.

You can surgically remove the endometriosis. Then eat lots of avocados. They help heal the uterus. Stop gluten and sugars, and all the rest of what Dr.Berg said. Then try to get pregnant again. Find a naturopathic doctor to guide you.

alternative. Alba Hydrogenated castor oil as a Vaseline alternative. I
use 2 Tbs Backing Soda reacted with hot water on dry hair only as a

Have you found anything useful I just did a procedure and it’s suspected that’s what I have. After reading all the symptoms it seems to match what I have been experiencing. If it’s not adenomyosis then idk what the hell it is because all other tests show I’m fine other wise and it’s not endo as confirmed as of today.

    Hi Dr.Berg,
    Thank you.
With chocolate cyst and endometriosis gynecologist precscribe combination birth control pills to supress the endo and the cyst from growing.
In one of your videos you talk about the danger of these pills.
Would it be better to stop using the pills? I’m afraid of the cyst and endo growing if I stop the pills and the side effects of the pills.

Hi Dr Berg, have you any suggestions how to get rid of endometriosis rather than prevent it? I've had endometriosis for several years, I've had key hole surgery to get rid of the endometriosis four years ago which worked extremely well. I know it has come back again though as I have been getting significant systems yet again. Is surgery the only solution to actually getting rid of it once you already have it? The preventative advice on your video is excellent, I'm trying to implement them at present.

Exactly, our society is estrogen dominance and most products or doctors prescribe more estrogen when what is needed is progesterone.
