But the Ford dealerships here in NC are asking $36k for a 2000 lightning SVT with 143k miles on it and it's not as good as my truck. They said they would sale my lightning for around $42k if they had it because of it being a 10/10 truck with 1 owner (before me so it's a 2 owner now) and having all the service records and original paperwork and being stock and unmolested. I said I would give it to him for $40k cash now lol.

Just picked up a 02 HD truck, I come from the M113K V8 AMG world. The mods pretty much translate, more boost, good tune and cool the fuck outta your S/C fluid system. Do you guys do fluid pump upgrades like the benz guys? Lotta guys swap to Bosch pumps with higher flow rates.
Yup, pretty much! Higher flow rate pumps are a great upgrade to do, most go with Davis Craig brushless for ease of maintenance. Ebp 25 is a slight upgrade over stock, I went with the ebp40, pretty significant upgrade. You’ll have to fab a way to mount it, stock brackets won’t fit.
Hey buddy on the valve Bodies would you roll with a race spec from A1? For daily? I know they make a street application but i wanna chirp gears. Truck will be driven quite a bit on the street. Thanks
I’d message chris at A1 and get his feedback on that, but I’ve heard a lot of people go with the race on their dailies for the hardest shift possible. I just picked up a race version and actually installing it tomorrow lol, but keep in mind, I have a converter, so I actually need the race. But I’d ask him, he’s good about answering messages pretty quickly.
Is there a list I can give my mechanic to try follow your suggestions ? To do mods If I wanted add a cam is there one you suggest ? I have a show truck but want that chop never race the truck Thanks
Everything is listed in the description of the video with links of where to get it, could always just send him the video, and he’d have the list that way. As far as cams go, Todd warren is the go to guy for custom grind cams, cams on a stock block are a complete waste, if your doing cams, may as well to built
Yes, don't do it. It's a gimmick that bypasses a safety feature for zero performance gain. When the bypass is inoperable, excessive heat is produced, in addition to cavitation, and premature SC failure can result. If anything, at the track just unplug the boost dump solenoid, but even then, you'll be unlikely to notice anything in terms of any real gains.
There's always a risk when doing any kind of mods, but with that being said, as long as it's done properly, and tuned by a reputable Lightning tuner, you should be fine doing any of the mods listed in this video. I've seen plenty of trucks with these mods go well past 200k miles. The biggest thing is the tune, a tune will make or break a truck.
With these bolt ons I generally get over 150k miles from the 3 lightnings I have owned. I top end the trucks, WOT from a roll hundreds of times to about 130mph, spin the wheels here and there but don't drag race or use drag radials.
When stacked they can. If you run black ice, it gives you 20hp each, and can stack up to 5x. I’d do that, and keep some extras to keep your buff fully stacked. Pretty OP honestly 🤘
What about cam changes? Should my friend get cams. I say my friend because he doesn't know shit about his truck it has 30,000 miles original. Got a screaming deal on it. He has the pulley kit, belt and tuner.
Hey man like the content I watch your vids often. Have you come across burning the sparkplugs often? I keep going trough sparkplug and getting misfires when I do alot of WOT. Any ideas
Most of the time when that happens, it’s the tune. If your burning up plugs, stop driving the truck hard, you’ll hurt the motor. I went through a brand new built motor because of this. How’s your AFR? Intake temps? If that’s where it should be, then most likely too much timing in the tune

What pulley do you recommend for a 2002 HD with only an intake, is 8lbs less of a risk than 6lbs? and what gap should i set my spark plugs at before getting it tuned?
He just mentioned the differences between crank pullies and boost. Since you are basically stock, you need to first look at the other mentioned mods before even thinking about increasing boost such as long bars and the cooling mods.
Kaminari aerodynamics. It's a 3" cowl hood, carbon fiber with fiberglass underneath for reinforcement. I love it. There's a video about and reviewing the hood on my channel, look for the video titled "Ford Lightning Build - WOT Pulls With Quarter Mile Timer AND New MEAN Look!"

Super nice guy too, feel free to ask him questions if you have any, he’s always willing to answer. But it Should be easily driveable in the rain, as long as your not WOT or in the gas when it’s shifting, you should be fine.
@@DebtLife_Projects Thanks for your experience and recommendation but I went with Punisher because I didn’t want to spend the extra $100 up front and then go through the hassle of sending back my core. I hope it arrives soon 👍🏼
Do you recommend upgrading the 2 idler pulleys to 100mm when swapping to a 6lb lower for less belt slip or is there no need for it? Thank you for the helpful vids
Absolutely, you can never have too much belt contact! I even did the metco auxiliary bracket as well, every little bit helps. I’ll do a video solely on preventing belt slip and pulley setups. But the auxiliary idler with two 100mm pulleys is definitely a good move.
Let me ask you this.. just got an 02 harley 5.4 engine to.swap.into my 97 f150.. 10# pulley, 2600 maf, headers, 3 inch exhaust, single blade tb through a manual transmission... what do you think it will do to the tire...400?
10# lower pulley? Is the motor fully built? Your also going to need a LOT of cooling mods, 10# pulley makes a ton of heat, it took alot of mods and tricks to keep the heat down when I ran a 10# lower. But mine with a 10lb lower/2.7 upper, fully built motor with ported heads/cams, ect, made 501/569, so probably more since manual is less power loss. But it's gonna take a proper setup to even make that doable. 10# lower pulley isn't easy to run, takes an on point setup.
Idk, stock 42lb injectors, in good working order, should support alittle over 500hp. You'll be nowhere near that and should be way good. Who's tuning it?
Not in that particular area, but Eric Korn or JDM, the two top tuners I recommend, can tune your truck from anywhere via remote email tuning. It’s just as reliable and your truck will be in great hands with either of those options.

Which drive shaft loop????

Funny question , Im a lightning owner and wanted to know how many quartz of oil you put on these trucks
Around 7qts brings mine to just below the full mark. Trucks may vary, start with 6, check it, add as needed
Thanks bro appreciate the advice looking foward to that video
Hello how can I get a list of the mods you are recommending?
Thanks
Full list in the description of the video with links to everything.
I want a BG racing transmission cooler but the website is down. I haven't seen anyone else that sells that trans cooler as a complete kit.
The Hose Hustler guy sells a complete kit. He’s all over the Facebook Lightning pages.
@@derrickfurtado3009 Thanks! I will look into it!
@@DebtLife_Projects bone stock motor I'm swapping in.. not to race...just a daily driver
Trying to do a pulley now my tuner is telling me I need to do injectors before doing the pulley why would he say that
Idk, stock 42lb injectors, in good working order, should support alittle over 500hp. You'll be nowhere near that and should be way good. Who's tuning it?

Where do I get all these mods
Links to everything in the description of the video.
Hey do you know anyone in the western NC area for a tune on a 01 lighting ?
Not in that particular area, but Eric Korn or JDM, the two top tuners I recommend, can tune your truck from anywhere via remote email tuning. It’s just as reliable and your truck will be in great hands with either of those options.
Trudyno in Concord does good work tuning lightnings
What state are you in?
With all this will it pass smog?
no
can stock injectors run e85?
Nope.
Bro I cannot find that hood.Heeeeeeeeeeelp
I got the clear coated one for $1095.00...kaminari.com/collections/ford-f150-expedition
