    Nice truck! With alittle TLC it'll be a fun ride for sure. I'd definitely replace the Accel Coils, known to be garbage for these trucks, with OEM Motorcraft/Denso's. I'm glad to see you do the maintenance first that everyone skips, you seem to have done your research, so kudos. A1 makes the BEST valvebody for these, Chris Garret is a wizard with these transmissions, I have a video on my channel about his valvebody in my truck, it HITS. But JLP or Punisher is also good, can't really go wrong with any of those three honestly, but I do love my A1. If you have any questions about anything feel free to hit me up, or check out my videos, I got a bunch of Lightning info on the channel. But enjoy for sure man, best of luck with your new ride 😁🤘

      Dude! I watch all your vids. Awesome to connect on here! I have the punisher VB coming, a 2” drop shackle for the rear, 4lb lower setup and a tune. That will be it for now. I need to sort out the couple of cosmetics (fog lights and lower grille) and that will be it. Im having fun. Ive done a ton of mod motors and 03 cobras. Always wanted a lightning, glad i can mess with one now. Keep up the great channel!

    I had a 2000 lighting that was bone stock when i bought it. The first mod I did was the boost bypass. It's like a $2 mod and it can gain you up to 3 pounds of boost. Thats if it hasn't already been done. Just figured i woul tell you about it. Awesome video!

    Just picked up my 03 lightning 3 days ago in the same color to go with my 21 type r, love the video. Always loved cars but just now getting into maintaining and modifying cars outside of cosmetics. Excited to inspect my truck more and do some of these things. Keep the videos coming!

    i just recently did my egr delete and turkey pan mod and i ended up not having to use a tap to start the plug so strange i'm wondering if different years tapped the pan differently then others.

    Enjoyed this vid man especially as the proud owner of a black 01 Lightning myself. I also did the turkey pan and oil catch can mod as I bought my L with a check engine light as well. My codes ended up being from other vacuum leaks and a broken ground wire on the drivers side 02 sensor. Keep posting and I’m sure you’ll surpass 1k subs!

    Hey brother! Congrats on your new truck. I also have a 2000 lightning in black. I have a punisher street vb and I love it! Will chirp on upshifts but just a little tail happy in rain if you aren't careful. One thing I'd prepare for is the oil cooler gasket...it's a PITA! I removed it all together for now but will be doing a stand alone cooler in future. There are factory upgrades for the trans cooler off an HD truck and I'd also recommend that factory one is not good in hot weather.

    I didn't know you had another channel, or a family, lol 😂 Funny how viewing someone through the viewfinder limits your perception of them. I don't know why, but you seem happier as a family man than a musician, I'm sure that's not true, I guess you are locked into a different mindset while filming. Either way, I'm happy for you man 👍🏼

    What size is the blower out of a matter of interest? I know absolutely 0 about American cars due to living at the other side of the Atlantic (Ireland) , only American cars I’ve worked on are a C3 corvette about 15 years ago, a ‘85 C4 a few backs for a full service....!

      I hunted for this deal, but they have become harder and harder to find at affordable levels

    • @MrCarlitosway713
      @MrCarlitosway713 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      (cracks knuckles) Well first of all they are very hard to find.
      Second, They are very pricey because they are becoming rarer and rarer by the day.
      And third, They are very sought after so if you do find one for sale, you better have the money in hand and offer the guy in the price range he is asking for, no lowballing because someone will buy it after you lowball. so try to keep your offer in the same ballpark as the seller, maybe offering up to $500 below what he is asking but no more because he won't take it. And don't offer him a trade and extra money you will lose your chance.
      TRUST ME I know all of this because that's how I won the opportunity to purchase my Lightning.
      The guy had just posted it for sale asking $16k, one hour later I called him and offered him $15.5k cash and he accepted it and I won the auction. When I called, he told me 7 other callers had called him before me and tried to lowball him or wanted to trade and extra cash. Mine is a 2004 with some mods and $7k on wheels and tires.
