Brother, I admire your dedication against the weather! When I was your age there was nothing that was going to keep me from working on my Nova SS. I remember one winter in Missouri lying on the ground with ramps changing out the clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing in my 4 speed. I was 21 years old then. Couldn't do it anymore !
A little lube on the door and hood hinges would do wonders M8! lol I still think you should get a glass bead box to refurb your old parts for painting. Glass beads are much finer than sand blast material so, the surface comes out pretty smooth. Smooth enough that primer will fill the imperfections and, it's way faster than sanding and wire brushing.
You’re exactly right Chris about maintaining aluminum parts what a pain, the only thing I found that works is Busch Aluminum Polish on badly oxidized aluminum.
@ Actually Chris it’s really not that bad only a few months are brutal but we just got a pool and every place has AC. I can go to cruise nights here all year round and there’s tons of them here so I can keep driving my cars and not have to store them for months at a time In Massachusetts. I personally love the heat and even if it’s pushing a 100 degrees out I still walk at least 10-12 miles every day. Nothing like having a convertible Corvette, a convertible Camaro ZL1 and I just bought a new Bronco convertible 😊
As your editing and storytelling improve I think you’ll hit 100k really fast Chris. I wish I could afford to make you an offer on that Lightning right now. Mine was stolen not long ago. Miss it.
Great vid as always U need to cover the alternator with a plastic bag when u wash the engine bay Coolant tanks powder coat them Matt black to match the air JLP box Love the ⚡️
On the start up it gave a puff out the passenger side probably out the breather or just buffer dust great videos very detailed in what you do sad to see the cobra go but on to the next one
Ya at 49:10 i almost started to head to the new england area to whip some ass if you were getting rid of this truck lol. all kidding aside love the truck love the work you put into your projects very clean and well worth watching your vids thank you for sharing these with us
4:17 - @Chris Sullivan 👀 Oooooi think i know what the secret project car is! You left a clue bro😎 9:18 - how soon can you ceramic coat after painting? 🤔 19:41 - you could have a vinyl stencil made for the JBL grill and paint whatever you want to say on it. Similar to how front Mount intercoolers and aluminum radiators have painted on the fins. 29:33 - not only does it not look good, it doesn't look real... Like racing fabricated tanks and covers do😄 45:51 - i would have looked to see the fan/radiator covers hydro dipped in a nice carbon fiber weave before the OEM stickers were put on. But, as usual cool video bro💪😎🏆
You should do a C5 or a C4 corvette Chris next no one really makes content anymore even though they are sick cars. Loving the content lately with the E55, Cobra, Lightning. Hoping to see the C6 get some love soon
Never go full "while you're in there".. during winter it becomes the slipperiest slope there is. Next thing you know it's May & your shitbox is still on jackstands
@ you’re doin the lords work, he wants us to have chair shirts. I was beginning to think you and the misses had the baby and we may not get any content for a bit
MIGHT AS WELL replace those crusty galvanized bolts no one will ever see. That's alright I paid $10 extra just to have blue rubber exhaust hangers, car guys build rippers not retirement portfolios.
Lol, pretty sure that bracket is the factory radiator core support to fan shroud bracket that may have been on your '69 Camaro. Oddly similar to the Pontiac piece on my '69 bird.
Best auto TH-cam channel of 2024 can’t wait for the projects of 2025

Holy crap you're right. Good eye. Just one of hundreds of scrap pieces in the pile!
@ if it’s an original piece, it’s the oldest part on your truck!
And to think I was about to go poop without a quality video to watch
Where is my AMG…Chris…. We need to fix her soon somehow I know it’s something stupid!
Have you any thoughts on upgrading the SuperCharger? Not that you need too but I'm just asking.
Since it's a whole BUICK GN thing going on right now, 2025 you should do one I'm sure it will get many views.
Why build a nice coolant/washer fluid tank and use cheap hardware? As always, you are killing it with your attention to detail.
No idea haha
Is JLP like a sister company to JLT
Johnny Lightning Performance. No affiliation to JLT
Paint your valve covers sonic blue.
Easier said than done on this chassis lol
All that work to remove the pulley...lol. I would have just built the motor to match the pulley, ;)
Motor is built for the pulley. Pump gas is not lol.
