    I don't pay much attention to all those settings. Everyone sprays different. Everyones compressor is different. Settings for a real Dv 1 do not translate to something Chinese that just looks like a Dv 1 but is actually a different paint gun. Paper on the wall. A hand held light. Test😢 sprayouts before painting. Doesn't even matter if the settings match what others use or what the Chinese instructions say. All that matters is results👍

      I completely agree. Although with this gun and my fake gti. I found that spraying closest to the recommended settings got me the best results. But other guns I've had to find my own settings.. I like to use stated settings as a starting point on every gun and adjust from there

    This is probably the route i will have to go for my projects i dont want to spend alot of money on them but i want to make it look legit this is definitely the way even tho its going to take a little more effort to make it happen good work bro and personally id stop the flake on the clear its too risky to match incase of a mistake i feel rather use base istelf but other then that dope work bro

      Yea. The flake is risky. Fortunately it wasn't to big of a difference.. with proper lighting and everything being next to each other, it can be executed well... I'm doing a candy black over black rustoleum. Should be spraying this week. This is as budget as it can get all while looking great still. I'm hoping the candy black gives it an intense depth to it. On top of it already being clear over gloss black. I will be doing a flow coat as well. I'll post a video soon after

    Might have missed it, but what gal compressor did you use? I have a spray it and plan to use a 20 gal and a n inflatable spray booth. But my compressor will be at least 30 feet from my booth so I was thinking about a 26 gal

      I used a 60 gallon. But I'm sure you'll be fine with a 20g. If anything might spray a Bit slower.. but in all honesty if u run that at 30 psi like others say to.. it sprays the same amount of over spray as an hvlp.. so I sprayed at low psi and calibrated my fluid feed to it.. sprayed a bit slower but worth it. Way less over spray

    Do you have to wait days before clear coat after putting on single stage?

    • @vanni_doestv4516
      @vanni_doestv4516  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you're going to sand it like I did in this video. You can wait over night and scuff the next morning. Domt have to wait longer. Or you can simply spray wet clear over wet single stage. Just check the tds foe the re coat window

      @vanni_doestv4516 Thanks for your advice! I purchased Acrylic Enamel gloss black single stage and it says ready to spray but if using a hardener it 8 to 1. It's in the 30's-40's where I'm at right now but obviously painting in a heated garage. What's your thoughts on the hardener? I'm painting my sister motorcycle so it plastic farings. I'm doing all the plastic prep even primer/sealer because I know plastic flexes plus don't want the paint to flake off. Thanks again for your time and info!

    What did use to cut and buff it with the little buffer u had used in the video/how did u make ur paint booth

    • @vanni_doestv4516
      @vanni_doestv4516  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I belive that was a 2 or 3 inch cutting pad, used with a mini buffer. Hooks up to the compressor. I got the mini buffer at harbor freight. And the pads I bought from a detail shop in town.. but surely u can find some on amazon.

      The booth I used was a gorillas pro inflatable booth. U can check out when I first unboxed it on my older videos

    I was hoping you were actually going to shoot clear over single stage paint so I could know how that looks. Adding colors/flakes to the clear made this video useless for me. Your project looked good in the end, though.

      I have another video where I paint clear over single stage. It's in my channel.
