It is not normall. But can they help it ? To me it seems more of a problem that has been created by China. But maybe i am wrong.
They could try to tackle it so the cost of shipping keeps low. Maybe with a dealership in Europe and the States ?

What a strange concept. It is totally wrong. And while with the same effort it could have been so much better. The large endbolt goes from the outside towards the innerside. Leaving a bulb on what should be a flat surface. Now you can't attache f.e. the Kriega Overland luggage with the help of their plate. This rack is totally missing the point. Also this rack is missing a stut on the lower side. At the bottom both sides should have been connected with each other with a beam or something like that. When going offroad the forces to that rack will be enormous. It will break in the end cause it is only bolted on the upperside.
