  • Lose you some fuel economy, and make global warming worse. Get you a Krown Garage custom EGR delete! In all seriousness this EGR delete gets rid of the crappy ranger exhaust gas recirculation system. All it really gets you is exhaust leaks in the first place. Cheap and easy way to get rid of a garbage system! I hope to help some people save some money here. As for the exhaust side either crush the tube, and rtv the slit or weld it shut. The other thing you can do is get a 5/8 flare cap for the male threads, or take the male fitting out and use a plug.
    ⚠️ WARNING ⚠️
    DOING THIS MODIFICATION CAN CAUSE AN E CHECK FAILURE. IN MY COUNTY I DO NOT HAVE THIS. THIS MOD WILL ALSO RESULT IN A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

      I really appreciate the kind words! I’m just trying to help people in my videos with a more budget oriented view on cars. For all the diy people who can’t afford insane part prices.

    Did your vehicle have a DPFE sensor? Also wondering how you got the ECU to play nice instead of it trying to compensate for for no EGR.

      @krowngarage9498  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes mine had the dpfe sensor I just put vacuum caps on it. No cel ran smooth as could be. Did nothing electrical. Capped the manifold, and made the block off plate.

    Just a question not criticizing but why would you delete your EGR valve ?

    • @krowngarage9498
      @krowngarage9498  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because it’s a cheap truck and I’m not spending money on a new egr valve and pipe assy. My egr pipe was cracked and it had egr codes. Very bad exhaust leak from it and very very poor fuel economy.

    Don't put rtv my mechanic says its hacky but heater core thing is just a hater rtv good for oil pan gasket bad for manifolds trust me i was peeling mine off with a razor

      @krowngarage9498  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Copper “high temp rtv” is made for stuff like this. Dudes with race cars use it to seal exhaust leaks on wastegates, manifolds, and such. Permatex makes it. You’d use grey rtv for oil pans. It’s not hacky if it works, and I was doing it on a budget so it worked out good for me.

      Actually blue for oil pans either way orange rtv on gaskets idk moe 😂 anything that claims heat safe seems to not be thanks for the video though as there isnt Many for this truck@@krowngarage9498

      @JUNEBUGLLC I work at a Kia dealer and we use grey for oil pans. Factory supplies us with it. Nissan uses grey as well, and many others as far as I know.
