This is why it's so important to read reviews, especially negative ones, of prebuilt PCs before you buy one. (This true for EVERY product you want to buy.😁) And checking the return policy is also important. (And thanks for your candid, though negative, review of this Alienware PC. Had I intended to buy this PC, I would now reconsider not buying it )
The thing is people who buy prebuilts who eventually build their own don’t usually upgrade their system then build one most people I know buy a prebuilt then buy pieces to build one separately for the prebuilt. And a lot of people who buy prebuilt usually don’t build one. They’ll just upgrade every 4-7 years
I’m looking at the 4090 r16 with 14900kf & it looks much better priced than any other 4090 prebuilt. Also this option has a 1000w power supply included with the ability to upgrade everything besides the CPU.
Nothing wrong with this workstation. It is actually a good value. If you want to customize your own, then by all means go ahead and do it. If you don’t want to deal with building a new computer but want the performances, then this workstation will be sufficient.

If you still have the warranty, they’ll give you a new one. Third, if you are looking for an upgradable system, don’t get this. If you are looking at this, just get higher specs for future proofing.
That’s what I said because the pc isn’t bad he could have just bought the better versions of the Alienware pc for less money and it would be just fine.
Such a shame what came of Alienware. Before they where acquired they where such a decent company I sometimes think if they weren’t acquired and would’ve kept going at what they always wanted they could be a quite big thing nowadays

This is made for casual gamers who don't want to upgrade parts and keep the same chassis for years upon years. I myself upgrade about every 4-5 years. I purchased this exact r16 with a 1000 watt PSU, i7 13700, RTX 3070 ti, 16gb ram, 1tb SSD for about $1200. You can't find a better deal anywhere for this exact build. Also I switched the ram from 16gb to 32gb using Kingston fury RGB ram, which had no problem letting me upgrade. I the hate you people have for dell is insane, People know dell has there own parts so why do people buy them just to talk shit, This guy sucks as an youtuber
Just don't buy the 500w versions. You can literally upgrade just about everything involved with the purchase process. I got a hell of a deal on an R15 with a Ryzen 9 7900X cpu and a 4090 gpu. I got the 32gb RAM version upgradable to 64gb or even 128gb if I wanted to fork over the ridiculous amount of money Dell wants to charge for ram. But it has 4 RAM slots so I can just buy 2 more 16gb sticks cheap to upgrade in the future when I need it. Came standard with a 1350w power supply. I could have upgraded to a 1500w for more money or downgraded if i wanted to (but why). I feel like Dell does target those that don't know a lot about building PCs and just want to pay money for something that works right now. My R15 is still a monster and I got the stuff needed at purchase so that it would make it easier to upgrade in the future. It is legit future proofed for AT LEAST the next 5-6 years. I do like the newer design though but I do agree the proprietary stuff they use does make things difficult. For instance, the motherboard has the second m.2 slot about 3/4 of the way BEHIND the gpu. Making it difficult to access. Other than that, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Like I said, I got a HELL of a deal.
Most people aren't going to need more then 500 watts and I also don't know what kind of GPU that is, but if it's anything above like a 1080, it's going to be throttled.
The problem is that Power Connector is based on 12VOATX imposed by Intels... yet the person who made this video is not well aware about that standard that even some PSU of Corsair are using, on the PCB, the ATX-XXL is used by servers, but not with the Front Ports attaech to the mainboard, so I dont think this guy of Matts is even qualify for this kind of "review".
