To maximize the damage, build kushala armor, vambrace, waist, rathalos helm and jyura greaves. Frostwind lv.3 and focus lv. 5 deal a ton of damage. Driftsmelt ice attack for end game.
@timberhead2069 when i use the long gunlance, i mostly use charge shelling then when i have the opening fire the wyrmstake. So i think artillery would be better in this case

We need a team to display the power of 3 jho g8+ gun lances with artillery 4/sneak attack 2 paired with Sneak status attack para 3 sns for 4 man team. I love the shell buffer from para
The build i was using was Azure rath helm Basarios mail Girros vambrace Rath waist Basarios legs It has focus 3 to help with charge shots. Artillery 3 to boost shelling damage and sneak attack to boost shelling damage when hitting the monster from behind.
I have a question. I would try the build myself, but I don't live in an area with many hunters, I'm a long way from the closest huntathons and lack some resources. Would the pumpkin head 'solidarity' stack with 'hunters unity' and give a good boost? I can think of few different armor combos to add to the build to further boost it. Perhaps, someone with better access and friends to link up with could test it out. Happy hunting.
I'm ONE Tailandia away to craft the Kushala Gunlance. I am still too los ranked to hunt the 9* Kushala raids, so my chances to hunt it are lower to me. P.S: Also, how or where do I get free Hunt-a-thon tickets?
I start to use kushala LBW instead of legi LBG. My Legi is in 9-5 my kushala is 7-5 however I find out that is much easier to solo zinogre 8 star even 2 level behind
….no thanks…I’d rather have a damage bonus that *isn’t* dependent on circumstances out of my control!😛 I’m a rural player, and I haven’t seen hardly any Kushala weapons in the Zinogre HATs I’ve done lately. I’d rather farm a kushala weapon for the sake of being good (or for an ice weapon class I don’t have yet, like LBG) and not some highly circumstantial damage bonus.😅
unfortunately for me im working that weekend, but if the ticket is reasonably priced at 10 or 15bucks, ill buy it and hunt my booty off after work both days. if its more than 15bucks count me out.
Focus helps reduce the time it takes to use a charged attack. So with GS it makes it quicker to charge to full strength, bow to strongest attack level. And for the gunlance, it lets you charge a shell quicker

I've had it happen once in a hat with one other player, the damage was noticeable even on lv1

For me, a gun main, the kushala ice gun was a no brainer. No more chasing monsters down to shotgun range! Plus it looks so cool

That might take me a while to upgrade the jho gunlance to g8 cos i just upgraded my jho lance to g9/5 😂

artillery is also a good skill use with bone gunlance.
Yeep artillery is great for all gunlances
The grade 8 bone gun blade does 1792 charged with lvl 3 artillery and no sneak attack. Why bother with the grade 6 diora gunblade.

i would make kushala wepon for fun but:
r5 and r6 mats dont exist (still 0 after 53 hunnts)
i dont have spare weapon upgrading mats anyway...
