I feel like TH-cam is not just a morning routine for me anymore, since I decided to start my channel, I am always either on TH-cam watching videos on how to grow my channel, or researching what I want to put out there for my potential subscribers😫, it have not been easy, but I will keep on pushing forward.

Starting a new channel has been really stressful. Sometimes it feels like you put in a lot of effort, but you still don’t see the reward. I’ve figured out that I have to be grateful for what I have accomplished rather than looking to reach a new milestone.
You have to upload at least 30 videos to get traction. My channel (not this account obviously) took off after 70 videos

I dream that one day I will wake up to a big surprise. TH-cam will finally acknowledge me and really start pushing my content. In reality, I know I can't leave my fate up to TH-cam. Until then, I just keep watching videos like this and learning as much as I can. There is so much to take in really. Thankfully I still enjoy sharing what I know with people that want to listen to me. I am grateful for channels like this that help me do what I enjoy doing.

@@Ozzy-worsttaste threw you a subscribe bud, I looked at your videos, your description is the same for all and basic, write descriptive description about it being relaxing or chill out music, use AI even to write it for you, that'll help with the algorithm and make sure you use all the tag space, the videos are that anime (is that what their called?) So make sure you use that alot in your description and tags
I've been doing TH-cam for 4 years and haven't managed to keep a consistent viewer base. It's really demotivating. I'd just love a small community that communicates and chats and interacts with me. That's literally my goal

Edit: i tort i would come back and edit this comment, TH-cam can be emotionally stressful at times, especially if you're trying grow your channel, ive experienced such lows, videos getting no views, hopes being dashed when i dont feel ive gained the recognition for my work. But I've adapted a 'die hard' attitude, i still keep trying, i dont let it get me down for too long, & recently I've seen progress, slow progress but progress non the less.
My advice to everyone: don't give up, keep trying. Try new things, you're allowed to feel like shit every once in awhile, just dont let it prevent you from keeping on going.

The tip about thinking about what the subscriber does all day and saying what they need is sooo good! This is sort of similar with what I read somewhere that when you provide value, the money follows. But if you chase money, you will never get it.

We started our TH-cam channel for our friends and family so they know what we as a Long Distance Couple are up too, now we are here, watching videos on how to grow TH-cam and hopefully in the future do TH-cam as a fulltime job. I don't know why I always expect to wake up and see that one video has blown up and given me 10k subs and a million views lol.
It could even leave a reality thing for me and haunt me in my dream, where I see that and wake up to see nothing.
It just proves one thing.
I am overthinking and overstressing.
So now I just do my thing and almost try to expect the worst instead of the best, and when the best happens. Good for me, if not... I move on
That sounds wise, viral is like winning the lottery, rare, unfortunately hard work and consistency is the reality on all platforms but if your enjoy it then the journey should be fun too

Try out TH-cam shorts! I’ve had a lot of success getting tons of views and subscribers that way. I gained 2000 subs and 1 million views in a Month no joke

What I love about your TH-cam growth videos is you relate to us. You used fishing videos as an example, may not seem much right, but I can use this example in my channel because you used a normal niche as an example. Most other growth channels would of chosen gaming, or music as an example and totally unrealistic to most of use here trying to grow because gaming and music are so popular to begin with. Now I’m rambling. Good job 👍

Haha, my morning ritual. I even do it at 3am if the baby wakes up crying. What's funny is I also refresh my phone screen multiple times just to make sure TH-cam has counted every last sub. And they had 😂Great advice though Ed. Everytime I watch one of you videos I feel 90% positive and YEAH LET"S DO THIS, and 10% 😭😭😭. It sounds so simple though. I just need to PLAN BETTER!

Great advice! Since starting my channel, I realised I keep improving the little things like editing and alot of advice from what you’ve mentioned. I guess the biggest thing is if you’re new or even just wanting to start a channel, just start and continue practicing, the only way to learn and be better is keep going and doing everything for yourself! ☺️

I'm honestly starting to like this channel, I will be honest that I've been on TH-cam for 11 years and reached over 4k Subscribers (I know subs don't matter but it's nice to see) but watch your video Editing Mistake Video before editing a video on Sunday and used one or two things from it and managed to put my video down from 18 - 21 minutes to 14 minutes! Which I was impressed with myself and also trying new things from your videos as well. This channel is worth the subscription. Thank you and great video.

The "maybe if I just refresh" body language at the beginning there got me to sub, liked for the info that followed.
Not growing in subs hurts, getting hits on shorts and not on long-form content cuts deep, and not being able to wrap one's mind around who to cater to based on the analytics makes the whole worry a headache, too. Your video helped me think about these issues differently, with a little less anxiety and little more agency, which can make a world of difference. Thank you.

What really sucks is the fact that TH-cam continues to change the targets for monetization. For the small channel it seems impossible to get 1000 subs and 4000 hrs of view time.
