Great video, thanks! Quick summary: - Research your niche - Focus on one social media platform - Batch create videos - Create thumbnails before the video - Be persistent: create videos at least once a week - Find a way to differentiate: do not try doing the same as everyone else
Why create thumbnails before the video though? To me it sounds better to do it after? So you know how the whole video look and feel like and it's easier to frame it ? I see more benefits of doing it after rather than before anything else! Any ideas?
Ed, see my sub count? That's because of you buddy - took your course back in Jan and BOOM, started blowing up. Can't wait to start your Edutainment program!!
For those who think this guy is just another snake oil salesman, he is NOT. A couple of years ago I started watching this channel (back when he had 20-30k subs) and he kept banging on about TH-cam shorts. Long story short, I did exactly what he said in this video, and tried something no one else was doing in my niche: TH-cam Shorts. I'm no SEO or TH-cam expert, but following this guy's advise has done wonders for my channel(s). I also became creator on the rise after a few months and now have millions of views on shorts and longer videos. Thank you Film Booth 😊

From my little experience here, the best adviced you gave ( from the many ) is to produce in advance and not feel the rush of 'having to post for the sake of it'. This is truly the biggest mistake a TH-camr can make. Quality over Quantity, this is what TH-cam is going for in comparison with many other plateforms
aww that's a really sweet video 💖💖 love how long it took Liz to ask for help lol 😂 I'm going through this exact same dilemma too as well as resonating with Ed's desire to put energy into something different.
Ed (and Liv) - great work - loving the creativity from you both - and thankyou for explaining where to recycle unwanted furniture.. seriously.. good work.. inspiring as ever
I'll be honest guys, this is the fifth time I've watched this video I am 4 and a bit months and 50 videos into my TH-cam journey and this is one of the most motivating videos on the platform for me!
Love the narrative built around the "couples who grow an audience together, grow together" theme. And, the thick smattering of humour as the mustard to this meaty knowledge-bomb sandwich tickled me the whole way through ... which I guess is good for blowing up a TH-cam Channel. Thanks for making this video.
I haven't watched in a while but the biggest takeaway was about external links! I've been sharing my content on Facebook and Instagram and Twitter and getting decent results but that section about wanting to retain TH-cam users really struck home. Going to stop external links today!
Terrific video and great story. I know Liv's channel from watching her separately and realised you were together when you appeared in one of her videos ('oh, I said, that's the FIlm Booth guy')! It's only now that I've just seen this video of her story and I'm very pleased for you both. Well done. PS: Liv's content is great and informative and bite-size. Keep up the good work!
Before I even watch the rest of the video, I know your content always speaks for itself because it's always top-notch. But I just wanna say how sweet and considerate it was of you to be so preemptively supportive before she even knew she wanted to do this, and all the work it must've taken to plan for that moment "just in case" before she decided to is nothing short of awesome and precious. I melted a bit when you said the part about how you'd already been working on researching her niche and everything prior, lol. Especially when "becoming a TH-camr" is still pretty commonly scoffed at as a career goal by the majority of people who wouldn't be nearly as supportive, speaking from experience, lol (and I know she's obviously dating someone who's an expert in doing so and whatever, but still, I think it still speaks volumes both personally and professionally the amount of faith you put in her from the get go that she could do it - not "if" she could, but "when" - when a lot of others, experts included, would be quick to start down the rabbit hole of "It probably won't be what you're expecting, you might never get monetized, you probably won't blah blah blah" right off the bat). Just wanted to throw that out there.
Ed you’re definitely one of my favorite creators on TH-cam. I love how you tell a story and keep me wanting more. I definitely have binged your channel. I’m in Liz’s boat right now and want to make TH-cam work for me. I’m definitely going to book a one-on-one session with you ASAP. This video is inspiring and has given me the creative juice to really work my butt off to get my channel where it needs to be! It’s the guidance that I need.
Love the video, Ed! One of my FAVORITE videos of yours was a longform hour+ video of you re-editing some footage that viewers had submitted to you. It was so helpful to see you go through the process and explain what to cut, what order to put clips in and why. I know you are focused on binge watching and high production, but I'd love to see you work in a longform video from time to time. Cheers and thanks for all your research and production value! :)
I was actually thinking about doing another one of these soon. I liked making it too. Ive come to the end of a strategy now so im going away and when im back ill be thinking about things with a fresh head but I do plan on making the next one
@@FilmBooth can you please do a video on Political censorship on TH-cam and how it effects creators. There has been multiple stories on the Whitehouse getting social media companies to censor people. I've been struggling to get my channel off the ground. I'm now stepping back trying to figure out how to make this better. I have around 80 videos and 470 subscribers.
Really inspiring, I just got monetized and now I realize I need to stop giving a damn about my day job right now because that's not going to get me anywhere I want to be. From now on, the majority of my energy will be focused on my channel.

Just about ready to post my third video today. It's been slow growth since getting started 3-1/2 weeks ago, which is a bit disappointing, but I'm probably more antsy than I need to be. It's a niche flooded with content (aren't they all?), differentiation is something I've definitely had on my mind.
You did one video a month (ambient noise to sleep to) for about 6 months and stopped 4 months ago, and posted one short. Doesnt seem like you really tried.
@@Daniel-rp7nb I did 10 videos in about 5 months not counting the short. So to be fair it was about 2 videos a month and I was trying, there is only so much time I have outside of work and family to film and edit. I stopped posting for several months because I wasn't seeing any organic growth in subscribers, and consequently lost motivation. I am however making another push and posted a new video two weeks ago.
I just discovered your channel today and I'm finding it very hard to leave lol...been here since morning. I love your content, you're so real and your tips are helpful. I'm looking forward to putting these tips to practice and see how it works for me. My biggest problem now is finding this niche thingy and figuring out what my viewers would like and of course my editing ( my editing is as bad as bad could be)
When I write my video scripts I find myself playing it back in your voice and imagining what the video would look like if you'd made it. Weirdly just "hearing" you saying the script makes my brain imagine visuals like your videos too.
I love Liv's channel - discovered it earlier this summer and have been hooked ever since. I made the connection between you two when I spotted you doing a tabletop in a video a couple of weeks ago. Before that, I had been thinking, "She's been watching Ed's channel!" 😆I was so pleased when she achieved Creator on the Rise status - well deserved.
I've ended up watching a lot of your videos this afternoon, and I must say, I feel inspired. I've been working on some videos lately (as opposed to streaming all the time) and I feel that with the advice I've learned from you today, they'll perform better than what I've posted in the past. Here's to hoping!
You make videos with incredibly high production value and excellent storyteller wow!...Congratulations!...I know how much effort and time you have to spend to put together these kind of videos! Keep up the good work!.
if you are not sharing her channel what by the way i respect that idea. You are playing with if all the things you saying are true or not, because after watching the video till the end you left me with the feeling of i am not sure if this is true or just another video where people go through the points but never disclosure their success. The good idea for this video to really hit to me is that you really show the work, not just talk the about it, go in deep in your choices with the specific niche you talk in the video and breakdown another example if you are not gonna be talking about her channel at the end. I can guess she is in the travel niche for what you are explain in the video but that niche is way too broad. You are really not going really deep on her channel, what it was the niche, what specifics titles or thumbnails you choose to stand out from the crowd, what were there past style videos she was doing (vlog, headtalks, top 10 videos, mistakes from my past trips, challenge videos, etc) I just mention some few points you leave out of the video that are way too important to achieve success on youtube. One thing is create the curiosity with the thumbnail and title to go "ok, let me see what's that" but also you need to deliver on that... I hope you take this as an input to make better videos and not something personal obviously
6:20 is so disingenuous - okay - she didn't share her video - she shared her profile and the fact she was making videos on TH-cam - so they subbed, then watched. Same thing. out of 300k, 20k is just the 6% of her ig followers that watches TH-cam lol

Let’s talk more on telegrams🎉
I'll be honest guys, this is the fifth time I've watched this video
I am 4 and a bit months and 50 videos into my TH-cam journey and this is one of the most motivating videos on the platform for me!
Let’s grow together
I can't watch your videos enough. A lot of energy, humor and engagement. ❤❤❤
Your videos are always super helpful, I get so much more knowledge to help my own channel. Thank you.
Wow, another mind blowing video. I'm also struggling to grow as I wanted, and I'm getting lots of inspiration from your videos, Ed. Well done!!!! :)
The best way to grow your channel fast is to take advantage of services providing likes, comments, views... 🙂
Personal recommendations are ytviewify and famester social. Second one is a bit faster though.
Lmao no
like paying for bots?
@@KingKemet Sorry to disappoint you, but real people only
Thank you for the motivation. It's sometimes hard to stay on track if you are learning but can't see the progress in numbers.
I booked a one on one with Ed and it was definitely worth it!
Yea. Every time I look at him I think of the bin video
Thank you for this awesome teaching.
To all small channels out there, we've got this. Just keep grinding and pushing.
I wish everyone success
Dude, the editing at 0:45 is incredible! Amazing style!
Dude for real, I hope it didnt take as long as it I think it did lol
How did he do that🤔
I love so much of your content dude. I want to watch them over and over until I have absorbed all your knowledge.
WOW! Who doesn't love everything about your videos? Fabolous content for all; thank you for your amazing productions. Cheers!
First off, great story telling as usual,. I wish I could create videos like yours. This is superb!!
I get shadow banned for comments all time. I can show you a bunch of weird analytics. Straight up then flat. 7.5k views in an hour then 0 an hour afterwards... I posted this on VidIQ they won't respond but lots of other creators have replied with similar stories
@@FilmBooth I'd like to ask...so does that mean using tiktok to boost viewers is not optimal? And that we shouldn't bother and maybe use yt shorts instead?
I've been struggling to get my channel off the ground. I'm now stepping back trying to figure out how to make this better. I have around 80 videos and 470 subscribers.
Really inspiring, I just got monetized and now I realize I need to stop giving a damn about my day job right now because that's not going to get me anywhere I want to be. From now on, the majority of my energy will be focused on my channel.
Thank you for doing this you help me so much and when I feel like I'm stuck I watch some of your vids over again and it helps me punch through !!! Thank you again!!!
I confess I am one of her new viewers. She is made for TH-cam! Such charisma!
What's her channel?
@@VictorOwolabi_ same Question
That was just an awesome video!! 💫 You really lay out the basics better than anyone out there. Great work!
Me: very excited to learn new techniques
Them: my first few videos all blew up right away!!
Me: damn it, every time *shuts laptop*
You two are darling, and your interactions are super engaging. I hope she shows up in yours again. Great story, great video all around. 😀
My biggest problem now is finding this niche thingy and figuring out what my viewers would like and of course my editing ( my editing is as bad as bad could be)
OMG, another brilliantly produced video that's super informative! Thank you, Ed, I'm officially a super fan. And Liv, what a cutie... :)
Your end screen was going to take me to the video that brought me here...just thought I would share.
Great video as always!
This is super legit, my channel 📈 super fast since 2 weeks ago
Appreciate the video starting out recently and this video has been amazing
When I write my video scripts I find myself playing it back in your voice and imagining what the video would look like if you'd made it. Weirdly just "hearing" you saying the script makes my brain imagine visuals like your videos too.
The water in the cups really hit home, thanks Ed!
Let’s talk more on telegrams🎉’…
To the person who is reading this, don’t give up on your TH-cam channel. Keep going it’s going to get better.
😢
Appreciate that

Dude this video is so good! Thank you!
Whats her channel?
yep just found it too
@@dinoservices what's her channel name?
@@dinoservices May we know her channel name?
Ed didn´t name it in the video, probably because he doesn´t want to mix the audiences, so i will leave it to him to name it or not.
The one who is reading this you got this bro ! Dont give up and keep going good stuff is waiting for you
I've ended up watching a lot of your videos this afternoon, and I must say, I feel inspired. I've been working on some videos lately (as opposed to streaming all the time) and I feel that with the advice I've learned from you today, they'll perform better than what I've posted in the past. Here's to hoping!
I hope you can do it. I believe in you. Good luck 😊😊😊
You make videos with incredibly high production value and excellent storyteller wow!...Congratulations!...I know how much effort and time you have to spend to put together these kind of videos! Keep up the good work!.
Ed is simply unpredictably Good. You know it’s a gem when you see a notification from Film Booth. Go high, champion.
🔥3:01 Thanks for telling us to make a YT channel! 🔥
Ed, you’re a dab hand at storytelling and very funny to watch. Have you ever thought of starting a new channel in a completely different niche?
Amazing as always Ed
The value in this video is phenomenal. Thank you.
if you are not sharing her channel what by the way i respect that idea.
So good, well done Ed & Liv!! This is exactly what Ed has been telling us... I just need to work out how to do it.
6:20 is so disingenuous - okay - she didn't share her video - she shared her profile and the fact she was making videos on TH-cam - so they subbed, then watched. Same thing. out of 300k, 20k is just the 6% of her ig followers that watches TH-cam lol
incredible. you continue to make these videos better and better! the studio setup is 🔥
So more vodka means more time, got it.
I'm Indonesian, but I really like this channel because it always provides very useful information for beginner TH-camrs like me, thank you
If you're doing TH-cam in 2022 and not using Famester, you're way behind at least 75% of other youtubers.
Is that a browser extension?
@@franklee3795 this is a bot. Ignore
@@SirPigasus but what is it actually. Is it like the VidIQ extension
@@TheChozenOneee it's a bot service. They basically add fake likes, subs and comments to any social media page to make it look like you're actually growing when you're actually aren't. It's lame AF and give creators false impressions of success.
The better way to grow is just make content people want to watch lol
I love to binge your videos - its better to watch than to go and work!!!!
Mrs Sofia is the best, recommending her to all beginners who wants to recover from their losses and gain more like I did through her strategies.....
I think I'm blessed because if not I wouldn't have met someone who is as spectacular as expert Mrs sofia....
I think she is the best broker I ever seen...
@Mabel Elsie I remember friends calling me crazy when I started but now I shut up them with my four figure weekly returned
I am happy today because of Mrs sofia
I'm from Germany I used to take loan from the bank for surviver but after trading with expert Mrs sofia she changed my financial status for real...
Grateful for this video and channel. As someone about to embark on the scary path of starting a YT channel. I'll be a subscriber and follower for sure
Amazing video and thank you for breaking it down!! Despite the economic downturn, I'm so happy 😊I have been earning $ 60,000 returns from my $7,000 investment every 12days.
Wow! How's that possible please I'll appreciate your assistance on how to go about it.
@Meso Consistently investing with proper guidance in quality dividend paying companies is a relatively easy strategy to create wealth. Well I copy trades from daily signals of Mrs Benito Revilla as recommended here previously
Let’s talk more on telegram!!….😊
Just wanted to add a comment and a like. You come across as honest and love the wholesome family vibes. In-fact that like got upgraded to a sub.
10 minutes of saying nothing and monetizing it. That’s a genius TH-cam video.
Jay Cho This video was a waste of time, said absolutely nothing.
You've literally mastered the art of making us binge watch. Everytime I get an answer I want, you recommend a video that I can't resist 😂. And funnily enough, the loop has led me back to the video that I watched first at the beginning of the loop...which is this video 😂 I've come full circle
Soooo useless info.
What a good resource she has in YOU!
The cups analogy is a great illustration. Congrats on the youtube recognition as creator on the rise too! Some of the things im learning from your channel are helping me make better videos, but i fear that my thumbnails are costing me a lot of views. Im enjoying the process currently…but wishing for better results. Thanks for helping us smaller creators in our quest.
Here I am with a new creation. Fingers crossed it grows well 🤞🏻
