XG are my girlz. Sadly the most underrated talent I’ve ever come across probably ever. XG are so fly and so talented they just deserve to be huge already. It’s blows my mind that they haven’t absolutely blown up yet with how insanely good they are. I rly don’t get it. This song is just an total addiction with its perfect vibe. I would think it should have like 20 million views already easily.

Jurin has final boss energy. She just got those leader vibes, man. If you just showed me a lineup of the girls standing in any order, and I haven’t heard one single note of a song or one scene of a MV, and told me to pick who the leader was, I still feel confident that I’d point out Jurin. It’s just that palatable.

I've been a Jurin bias since the start but this comeback, Chisa came for me. Especially in the live stage of Left Right, she was out for my neck in that one. To the point I either have 2 biases now or my bias switched , that's how hard she came at me. She was giving me Ciara vibes for some reason I can't really explain, you could see she was really feeling herself in that one and that is dangerously attractive.
I gotta say also how good Hinata did with all the lines she got finally, she nailed it every time and she is so pretty ( all of them obviously are )

With this group it’s almost impossible to pick a bias! Maya is at the forefront for me but even then I’m like wait! Hinata, Cocona, Juria, Chisa, and Jurin might be it 😂 I love how united they come off as group but still have their individual style of how they perform and present themselves. This group is just wow, they deserve all the praise. 💙
In my book, Cocona's rap and dance skills combined with her attitude and IMMENSE stage presence make her a generational talent. But, although I'm glad she went viral with the Xypher, as she deserves it, I'm even happier that the trend didn't turn XG into ''Cocona And Friends'', because all the other members are also insanely talented and wouldn't deserve to be relegated to the role of backup dancers. And the fact that you could take my comment and switch the words Cocona and XG with Tsuki and Billlie, gives me faith in humanity! Something else I noticed is that while everyone can instantly spot Cocona, Harvey and Jurin, most people have trouble recognising Maya. I blame the Xypher eyepatch! The look was so iconic, it seems no one now can recognise her without the patch!

I don't know if anyone explained this yet cuz I haven't read the comment's yet but the reason why they haven't blown up more is due to the fact they are Japanese not Korean, they come from a Japanese lable named avex which is their parent company. Their label is XGALX which is in south korea so not everyone knows they are from a huge label company that can rival yg, sm, jyp and hybe. Even if they where to see the name avex not many kpop fans know that avex is a massive lable company. So because they are Japanese they aren't loved that well because of the beef between korean kpop fans and the korean jpop fans especially the international kpop and jpop fans. It's been an issue for several long years probably decades. So they are known to the few who are open minded enough to not show prejudice towards them because they are Japanese. Anothter reason I believe they aren't popular enough which is odd is they sing in English and don't consider themselves kpop. I'm still knew to them so I don't know to much about them but I've been a kpop and jpop fan for almost 20 yrs and I've seen how the kpop and jpop fandoms treat each other so it will take a while before more kpop and jpop fans can be less aggressive towards each other if it happens at all if anything it could get worse cuz of how XG has been promoting in South Korea since debute but those are just my observations.

My guy awesome reaction, that close up slo-mo with Maya switched to angled side view of the group was epic. Chisa jazzy vocals, JURIA’s falsetto & Hinata harmonic vocals are the pre chorus/bridge queens definitely a force to be reckoned with. The last chorus with JURIN flexin’ her vocals and Juria’s ad libs then queen Harvey ‘the real Harley’ with her unique sound was just the perfect way to finish the song.
Really liked your analysis on how they repackaged their concept and make it work because it helped make sense to me wondering why they had 2 songs both with performances. IMO I think they knew that this could happen if this had just been a single because there would be those who might not like the young cutesy vibe which is why they kept the mature vibe on b-side track that equally good that many prefers over the title track. I loved the title track and uplifting message and telling their story of their experiences and like you said a perfect vibe for everyone to enjoy and not too cute but I feel is right for their age. They understand that it takes hardwork & effort to be good at what they love and is passionate doing and have fun at the same time. It’s why I think everyone is enjoying the vibe XG brings and it’s something most groups either lost or don’t have. If the early 90’s & 00’s vibe and quality music they going with I think we should also think the same with how music is made that time since most are so used to the 3-5 mini albums in a year but didn’t it used to be 1-2 years to make a good quality album with 2-4 title tracks. I would prefer quality music thats really fits them than to rushing to put out a shitty album
I hope they continue to carefully craft their music as well! Sometimes I feel like companies start rushing when the popularity starts to grow. I think they will eventually break out and be biggggg

The best part so far is I’ve seen one of their most recent music show live performance and what I heard was just awesomely amazing THEY GOT FAN CHANTS MY GUY!!!!! All we need now is a music show win but I’d be happy enough just for them to be in top 3!! Lol I think As long as XG and their company do what they do and really take time to keep making good music. Will they just disappear or lose members or the company abandoned them or will they fight and rise again that moment would just solidly the greatness we want for them and would be worthy of the title and REAL MEANING of IDOLS! Not these fake groups that be acting characters in a concept of fashion models that make music as a side hustle. For example like USHER cause after his MY WAY album he was on long 4 year hiatus then when he came back with 8701 and CONFESSIONS then when he had HERE I STAND that album was considered not really good but then when RAYMOND V. RAYMOND and songs like OMG and also another one is Mariah Carey and her EMANCIPATION OF MIMI album. I know that its different now than before and it’s something we’ll just have to wait and see when it does

Xg is more age appropriate imo & better suited to the western market. Overly innocent kind of stuff is only really popular with kids here. And I like that they seem more confident & their individual personalities shine through a lot. NJ seems too childish, its hard to stan esp given their problematic boss. They push the group a lot but its hard to see the girls individuality too much. It seems kind of fake like they just cling to the concept instead of really showing their true personas. Which is the companys fault not theirs but yeah, just my 2 cents.

I’ve said from the jump that XG is the group that has a real shot to do Blackpink type of numbers and to touch that level of impact. That’s going based on their talent, concept and, maybe the biggest factor, how the industry is/music consumption patterns. Honorable mentions to Le Sserafim and New Jeans.
Don’t get me wrong, there are other groups that are very talented and that make dope, catchy music. Like for example GIDLE and Dreamcatcher, two of my absolute ults, and they’re doing their thing but I know they’re just never going to go mega super intergalactic levels huge, ya know? And that’s fine.
But with XG, of course a lot of things have to line up for them, lots of things have to fall into place, but they have the right building blocks to hold all of that potential. Left Right next? 😅
