@I wish I was a vampire in the late 80s & early 90s personality means symetry aka balanced face, some guys have symetry when smiling some when smiling when not, if you have face symetry thats personality or attraction but in reality it means dick compared to height much dick size means dick compared to height.
I'm a 5 foot 5 male.. And sadly height is a major obstacle with dating. I understand why women prefer taller guys but it's absolutely heartbreaking knowing you're not going to be found attractive to 90% of women. I am lucky though, i did find someone who liked me regardless of my height.

I do not date at all it would not be fair to any woman to date a man 5'7 1/2. It is how I feel. I am at peace with my height now at 48. In my 20s & 30s I battled greatly. As for not dating I am at peace. Being alone does not bother me.
If I were to date a woman I would date a woman 6'2 or 6'3. Why? To avoid having short kids. I would never want my children to be short and go through the horrible things I go through daily.

I think the tall thing comes from women progressing during their dating years.
For example if a woman dated a guy who was 5’9, the chances of her next boyfriend being taller than 5’9 are high. Women usually want their next BF to be intimidating to their ex.
Also if a girl has friends who all have guys who’re taller than 6’0 she’s going to want the same thing.

My father was 5'5", my mother was 5'8". They had a good marriage that lasted over 57 years. We kids grew up in a household in which a shorter father and a taller mother were an everyday fact of life, so we didn't acquire the male-taller bias that affects so much of society.

Women are universally OBSESSED with height. It's not a preference, it's a requirement. The vast majority of women won't see a man under 5'10 as a prospect. Have you ever seen a man say "no one less than c cup" on their profiles? No, because breast size, hips, thighs, etc. are all preferences, not requirements. Men only care about women being fit.

My current girlfriend is taller than me. She is from Lithuania. Westernised women and American women are obsessed with height. Eastern Europeans as well as Scandinavian and some South American women are not bothered.
I've been rejected by English and American women but never had issues dating foreign women.
The looks I get while with my current girlfriend (she is inches over me and wears heels) is unreal. Women look at us in confusion how I ended up with her. Not going to lie, it gives me a huge ego boost!

I don't chase why chase rejection all day? I don't waste my time. It took me a long time to realize it was my height that was the problem. When I was in my 20s I chased a lot of females. But it wasn't until my 40s that I realized my height was the issue. After coming to terms with reality I quit chasing. Truth is women want a man with height or money. Sometimes both 😏

I’m 5’4” tall my dating pool has been very small and live in a very populated area. Height is always the first thing women look at before getting to know you. Listen I’m 6’1 & I’m talking to a guy who’s 5’6. What he has in personality!!!!! Makes up for his height. I’m sorry but he’s the most funny, charming, sensitive, caring person I’ve ever known. On the contrary, I’ve dated guys that were 6’8 & although we compliment each other physically, he was SO BORING!! I dated a guy and one of the things that I loved about him was that he was only a tiny bit taller then me. Like 1 inch or so. I loved not having to be on my tip toes to kiss him. I loved how we were basically at eye level. I loved his height him being short like I am made him more attractive. Even though I was always told to marry someone tall I decided that I'd prefer someone closer to my height.
I am late 30s, have been to 60 countries lived in 4, played sports all my life in both high school and college, lot of experience around large number of men and many naked men. As for protecting, the two toughest guys I personally know are 5'9 and 5'10. As for the other thing, the two biggest guys I know are 5'6 and 5'9. I'm 6'0 so don't really have a dog in either race.
If anything there is a mildly inverse relationship between height and d size, since testosterone is what caps mens' heights. As for protection, most guys over 6'2 tend to be more awkward and can't generate the power of guys from say 5'8 to 6'2 range. Tall men are also more collapsible and often easier to bring down than men with a lower center of gravity. Women may be oblivious to this, but men aren't. It's true that short men say under 5'7 can lack range, but can often make up for it with power and speed, and 95% of fights go to the ground within seconds anyway. Fighting isn't boxing.
The optimal male height all things considered - health, work ability, protective ability, etc. - is probably around 5'10, which not coincidentally is very close the average male height of around 5'9.5".

I have recently been measured at 5'9" in my bare feet. Although I am long past the dating era, I had many, and at times much too many, women interested in me in my younger years. And 5'9" is short. Take it from me. It just never stopped me, nor did it stop many women from wanting me. As for those that did not wnat me, such is life. It went on splendidly without them.

You can have whatever “preference” you like. But do not pretend you “restriction” is a “preference”. Furthermore, it can be shown that your “preference” is really nothing more than a reflection of your lack of self-esteem. Even if that were not so (but it is), consider that the “equality” movement for women such that jobs reflected the populations mix in sexes (rather than suitability) is engineered and maintained by government. It DOES NOT reflect the natural “preference”.
Back in the day, most jobs (well, practically ALL jobs) were held by men. By your argument of “preference”, all employers should stick to the norm (as existed before “social justice”) and choose mainly MEN for the job. Women wouldn’t be without sustenance. Rather, the government would just make sure that spinsters had some form of rudimentary shelter and food. No good shelters or great food that a great job would offer, but, hey that’s all you would get. You know, it would be just like how bigots would say, “women don’t OWE you a relationship, just go and ask someone else” (knowing full well that 90%+ of the population would say the same thing.
So if want to promote the PREJUDICE through illogical reasons like I would “TOWER” over some guy who is 5’6” then, perhaps we should return to a society where business do not OWE you a job for being a woman. If you think short men are only worthy of table scraps (even though the NATURAL condition is that humans are not heightists), then perhaps women should be only worthy of welfare… unless the are hot.

Firstly, “heightism” is not a “preference”. It nearly always manifests as a restriction. VVomen will flatly refuse to date anyone under a given height (usually 6 feet in the western world). A “preference” would mean one is open to partners regardless of height. So, your claim of “dating preference” conveniently inaccurate (in other words, DISHONEST).
Secondly, the comparison to “welfare” is valid. That is because no one “needs” an intimate relationship to survive. However, it goes a long way towards quality of life. In the SAME fashion, no one “needs” a quality home, and, great food to live.
VVomen love to say, “no one OWES you a relationship”. Agreed…. So, society should not create legislation that gives vvomen a chance at good paying jobs --- cause in the same way, no one owes vvomen a great paying job --- welfare should suffice. @@bens808 Shortness sucks big time. Even in grade school I remember I was passed over for the taller boys. Anyway life gets worse passed age 50 you begin to lose inches as the cushion between your vertebrae begins to flatten out. By age 70 we could lose 3 inches.
@@bens808 I began using lifts in my shoes for the past 20 years. I also add extra inches on my heels. My shoe guy has a store and does a great job. So total doing both lifts and bottom shoe work I can get 2 inches to almost 3 inches. I don't do any of this and it is all stares and comments not kidding.

I’m 5”9.25 and I’ve never been called short by a girl unless I told her my height from online dating and never met her yet. When I put on my lifts with some good shoes or boots I’m easily at 6ft. It's a personal thing. I personally wouldn't want to date a shorter guy than me. And to another woman, it might not be an issue at all. Guys have their likes and dislikes and height is no exception. Some guys prefer petite women!
I am a guy who only dates taller women. I love height and I love to feel short. So my dating pool is very small since I'm 5'11.. it's rare to find women over six feet tall. And then maybe only 1 out of every ten of those women will date a shorter guy..

I had a daughter of 6 foot at 14 years old and the amount of ridiculous comments she would get off so called adult men about her height was just obscene. "Is there snow up there love?" "Do your Mum and Dad make you sleep in a grow bag?" Adult men that made her hate being tall!!!!
I hated and loathed being tall when i was young at 6.0'. I felt as though i stuck out like a sore thumb. My late husband was 2 inches shorter than me. He nudged his friend in the ribs and said, as they walked up to my sister and me 'The big ens mine.' He proposed 2 weeks later! He didnt give a jot about my being taller than him. Our marriage lasted for over 40 years. As an adult now i love being tall. However, I now have a man at probably 5.3' who is adoringly besotted and the chemistry is between us is undenible and I am having to overcome those old feelings of aukwardness all over again. But i will! Your daughter needs to be encouraged to walk tall and be proud. Have a ready quip to answer all those ignoramosses. 'Can't you think of anything original?'
