Day 4 on the JMT | Forester Pass | Solo Thru-Hiking the John Muir Trail Northbound (NOBO)

- In August 2021, I solo thru-hiked the John Muir Trail northbound from Horseshoe Meadow via Cottonwood Pass to Happy Isles in Yosemite National Park. On Day 4, I hiked 19 miles, from Bighorn Plateau to Kearsarge Lakes (heading towards Onion Valley for first resupply). I also summited my first major pass, Forester Pass, at elevation 13200 ft.
