- On Day 7 of the JMT, I hiked 21.3 miles. I started the day about 3 miles south of Mather Pass, hiked up and over Mather Pass, enjoyed the Palisade Lakes, and finished the day in Le Conte Canyon, a few miles south of Muir Pass. What was really special about Day 7 was that I completed my 100th mile hiked on the top of Mather Pass.

I liked the last shot of the sunset/clouds right before u cut to yourself in the tent…enjoy the weekly roll out… have fun!
Thank you! I always tried to watch sunset each night if I could
You’re doing great! I love your positive attitude and smile 😊!!!!!
thank you so much! Even in the hard moments, it was easy to just take a step back, remember how incredible this place is, and smile
Love your videos! Keep em coming please!
Thank you!! And will do! :)
These are awesome videos! Great job!
thank you!
Another fantastic video and amazing views. The shot of you in front of the valley is priceless! Congrats
Thank you so much!! This was definitely one of my favorite days - it had so many insane views
My friend and I hiked the JMT SOBO this past summer, and we camped on the south side of Mather (where you heard the coyote) because we got caught in a storm. When the storm ended those coyotes started to howl & bark VERY close by our tents, so I know how unnerving that is. 😬
Coyotes for sure! It is unusual to hear them carrying on during the day since they are generally nocturnal.. Pretty Cool stuff + I Love you raw emotion!! That is what thru-hiking will do, teach you sooo much about yourself, what you can accomplish, humble you and make you fell soooo small inside this Amazing Creation!! P.S. Glad you hit the Golden Staircase going down, the last time I hit it going up it kicked my butt!!
Magnificent views...love your photography and composition.
What are you filming with?
Thank you! Most of the videos are with my iPhone 12 Mini and occassionally I'll use my Sony A7R3 to film, but it isn't as stable
Congratulations Erin! I guess 100 Miles is a huge psychological barrier to break and gives an immediate uplift and motivation to keep going. I really enjoyed being out there, thank you very much for sharing your beautiful adventure. Have a wonderful day. Best wishes, Mario
For sure! The longest multi-day hike I had done before was 42 miles, so it felt absolutely crazy and so cool to hit 100. Thank you!
Magnificent stuff ❣❣Really well done. Thank you for letting me see this beautiful place.
thank you! The Sierra Nevada is probably my favorite mountain range, it's super incredible
Way to go Erin, you're doing so good and solo at that!!!! Praying for safety and that you will be blessed every step of the way!
Thank you so much!
This place is brilliant! Watching this just makes me feel good! Fantastic upload, trail looks perfect for solo hiking.
Thank you! The Sierra is so incredible - I can't wai to go back!
Good stuff, excellent effort. A week between videos is a long wait.
thank you!!
I swam in the lower one of the Palisade Lakes
Love the videos and journey! Thank you for sharing!
thank you so much for following along!
Great JMT videos. Loved the entire series
thank you so much!
I love the videos! I started in July at Horseshoe Meadows as well last year and finished in early August. What an incredible experience!
Thank you!! Congrats to you! Best experience of my life so far, for sure!
I think you stopped at Starr's Camp here. You will pass me going SOBO in the next day or two; it seems you started on Aug 6. I started going SOBO from MTR on the 13th.
Beautiful views, thanks for posting. Just wondering, have you ever considered doing the PCT?
Thank you so much for watching! And I originally was going to do the PCT in 2020 but that was cancelled due to all that was going on, but I'll actually be doing the PCT this year!!
@@ErinExploring Great!!
Great video, such a beautiful area. How much does your pack weigh? It looks relatively small.
Thank you! I forgot to weigh my pack, but when I calculate the weight it adds up to be about 16 pounds baseweight!
My camera gear takes up a good portion of that 😅 (about 4 lbs)
