Kara Remembers - Battlestar Galactica (Piano Cover by Chloe Itaya and Jordan Itaya)

- Kara Remembers is from one of my favorite TV shows of all time - Battlestar Galactica. When I first started teaching my daughter to play the piano four years ago, I knew I wanted to play this with her. For those that don't know, Kara Remembers is a father-daughter duet. In it, an adult Kara remembers back to when her father was teaching her how to play this song when she was a little girl. This performance is my homage to the amazing series Battlestar Galactica and the beautiful music of Bear McCreary.
As always, thank you to my mom who forced me to take lessons when I was growing up. I hated it then, but she told me I would be grateful to her when I grew up. And, I so am.

But Bear McCreary's arrangement of "All along the Watchtower" is a crowning achievement of the soundtrack.

Chloe, please remember this for the rest of your life. Playing piano with and alongside your father is a memory you really need to keep close to your heart forever. Maybe you'll play this alongside your own son or daughter someday. Jordan, this is something the two of you will share forever. Treasure it and hold it close forever.

Even after five years I still come back here to listen to your interpretation of this wonderful song. Thank you. This is exactly why McCreary wrote this song - an incredible expression of father-daughter love.
I'm sure Chloe (probably an adult now) will carry this memory with her for the rest of her life.

@@emilios292 It's a music book of Battlestar Galactica. Just do a search and you should be able to find it. It's a gray book with the Galactica logo on the front.

having moments like this in your life with your kids means the world to them and YOU.
My daughter and I watched this when it was posted and she died of cancer since... that is the only reason I am posting so much on this video because it was one of our favorites to watch.

This is incredible. One of my favourite works honestly, still get goosebumps listening to it. But to see a duet like this father & daughter is just mesmerizing and beautiful to watch. Kudos, it brought tears of joy with a nice warm heart :) Thank you both!

Really good nay excellent! It would have been cool if Chloe did the finger pistol gesture at the end of the piece like Kara with the mysterious pianist blowing the smoke from the barrel.
Perhaps when she's older I'll re-record it with her and do it then. She's fourteen now and I'm just now watching the show with her.
