I would not be able to sleep if I assembled an engine without dial indicators and accurate torque wrenches. However, I admire these guys for getting the job done with what they have. Also nice to see no one is arguing or complaining, and happy to have a job to do...... Period!

Что вы все с динамометрическим ключом пристали.
Вспомните советское время.В гаражах. На коленке(как и они) перебирали двигатели и не только их. Без приспособ, динамометрических ключей и прочего. И ездили наши запоры, Волги, москвичи, жигули...
А тут только из дерьма вылезли и давай рассуждать.
Это мы до перестройки. если кто не жил в то время ,СМОТРИТЕ ,но у нас в СССР было еще хуже,здесь хотя бы есть механообработка у нас практически и этого не было.Вот также ремонтировали на улице только еще в мороз.

Shade tree mechanics on the next level. They've learned to be proficient with what they have. This is similar to how we had to work in the military at the FOB's. Everyone knows the job like the back of their hands and gets it done without fancy shops.
I love watching these guys work they definitely know what they're doing. The only thing i can't figure out is how they can get away without torquing down like the head and a lot of other crucial parts.
I hear you man and agree but these mechanic's have been doing this for ever maybe they feel the tension in arm and hand muscles, I wonder too how far they're out

It probably comes from years of doing the same thing over and over again. You get a feeling for it , when you know it just Right .
Real men at work here! There’s so many “professional’s” here in 🇺🇸 that couldn’t do half of what you do and they’d complain about working conditions IF they were asked to do this in the vehicle like this. You guys are some of the last of a dying breed and I hope your kids see these videos because they will be very wealthy with this knowledge

In frame overhauls are normally how truck engines are rebuilt in the states.
Not sure about a dying breed as this will be America in 5 years. Our prima-donna ways are coming to an end as its getting harder and harder to find parts, tools and food for that matter. We'd better take note and drop the arrogance or these guys will be running the show while we cry and wait for the government to save us. Many of us can still do these things. Not sure all the young bed-wetters can. Cheers.

They should use a little socket for the intercooler pipes though, tightening them with a flat blade they tend to pop off pretty easy 😉

i work for trucking company here in u.s.a. and we have all these fancy tools. But these guys are awesome they get the job done whatever tools they have.

Походу даже у индусов саляра дешевле чем у нас...😬 двигатель поливают как водой ...

It's worrisome seeing these guys not using a torque wrench, but more not sequence tightening the head bolts or the sump bolts.
They do it tough over there, but one wonders if these repairs don't originate due to wrong tool's, I say that respectfully.
But they all help one another and do their best to get the job ✔ done.
No exspensive tool or equipmnt...but...they done do their job...respect fo them..👍👍

Nice work! Why no torque wrenches - they aren’t expensive and would give you accurate torque on some of those critical fasteners?

Torque wrench make you loose your sense about how much bolt can take tension, peoples with no torque wrench know it, and still can fixed thing without it.
These are old engines not modern that’s why it a quick and easy fix

Where they live, water will work just fine.

You guys are amazing but you NEED A TORQUE WRENCH! When that engine fails the owner will rightly blame your work.
I would trust these mechanics and as they are not in litigious USA they'll be fine.
You don't need it. The torque wrench was invented in 1924, long after the first combustion engine.
Way too much use of shellac & rtv silicone!!
