if your watching this in 2020, you need to use liquid xp instead of redstone liquid to make the blizz powder in the fluid transposer. i simply just made a fluid drain and added a tank under it and filled it up then used a pressurized fluid conduit to connect the tank with the fluid transposer.
if you also have extrautils2 it has this very op thing called the "drop of evil" which on right click converts dirt to cursed earth and makes the monsters spawn rate go crazy. combined with mob crusher from industrial foregoing this is a very good way to make an easy xp/resource farm
UPDATE 28/09/2018: It looks like you now have to use liquid XP instead. I am going to use EnderIO's Experience Obelisk which can turn your XP into liquid XP. This can then be used to send to the Transposer with a snowball (if I remember correctly) to produce sweet precious Gelid Cryotheum.
I got all my cryotheum from creating a mystcraft world with added cryotheum blocks page and I have a world packed with the stuff. It was pretty hard finding the page but I got it eventually
Gelid Cryotheum and Resonant Ender are very similar when used in a Big Reactor. The fact is that the Gelid Cryotheum it's a little bit better and also it's more expensive, since you need all the blocks to be source blocks. Using one or the other depends on your needs. But the Cryotheum it's the best coolant
Reactors can be cooled by diamond blocks. 5x5x5 casing reactor with 5 fuel rods cooled by gelid cryotheum outputs 4.86 k Rf\tick, by diamond blocks 4,75 k Rf\tick with little bit less effective fuel burning. But this way is a lot more cheap.
Hello Mindcrafters, awesome tutorial! I want to build a reactor with a 9x9x9 inner reactor space. I want to use 5 rods in an X-shape and I want to cool it with two layers of gelid cryotheum and one layer of liquid ender adjacent to the reactor casings. I do not want to fill up the whole reactor as I only need to cool in the four cardinal directions, but not diagonally. I want to use a floodgate to fill up with gelid cryotheum. Do I need to buil walls of grahite blocks to keep the flood gate from filling up the whole iner space? Do I have to plce just one layer of liquid ender next to the casing first? Glad if you could help me out here...
So what happens when you inject Gelid Cryotheum into Cinnabar Ore in a in a Fluid Transposer? Well you get the Cinnabar, and I bet your asking what is that used for well there are many things like "Shiny Ingot" slam some Cinnabars in a Induction Smelter with Ferrous Ore and BAM you have "Shiny Ingot" .... Enjoy ;)
Cinnabar can also be obtained as a Pulverizer secondary product from Redstone Ore (25% base chance) and Gold Ore (5% chance). And I recommend everyone to put their first 4 Enderium ingots into making a Resonant Induction Smelter, then the first 2 Cryotheum Dust into making all 3 secondary drop augments for the Induction Smelter. That way, Cinnabar with Ferrous Ore averages 1.8 Shiny Ingots per ore. (You don't need to put it into quotes, Shiny Metal is platinum.)
Im wondering how this is a super coolant if im running supper hot like 900+ and i have gelid cryotheum all around my roods its a 4holes in the center are filled with that coolant then around it are the rods 8 and 5 blocks high and then the outside also has the super coolant and its 5 blocks high. So when i turn it on it goes over 1000C ??? why is that
check your ports if you have incidentally put an active coolant port on the passively cooled reactor, try only access ports or (remove all coolant ports) and then re activate the reactor, that should do it if you are having trouble still then try to make sure that 4 sides or the rod are touching cryotheum or the rods touch and heat up a ton, this is because that rods are touching and there are rods where coolants should be make sure that all rods are diagonal from each other like how that black never touches on a chess board. P.s. enderium is cheaper and the same
so i made the aques acumulator but it doesnt seem to be feeding the glacial- snowball maker thing. maybe i should have hooked it up to a reservoir instead?
In this video he used Pressurised Fluid Conduits from the Ender IO mod. I personally find that the fluiducts are now completely redundant after using the conduits from Ender IO as all conduits from that 1 mod can be contained within the same block pipeline (i.e. you can have energy, fluid, item, redstone and AE2 conduits from Ender IO all inside the same block space forming a rather nifty and useful pipeline). You can also control the inputs and outputs of Ender IO conduits in the same way as ducts but without crafting anything extra (like servo's), all from one GUI!
Krysis2k10 I've found that the Pressurized Fluid Conduits have a serious leaking problem in DW1.7...anyone else notice that? I accidentaly burned thru 20k redstone on the LP server because the conduits continually suck out fluids even if they have no place to go. When I built this tutorial the same thing happened which is how I discovered the leak.
The MindCrafters Hmm very strange, cant say that I've ever noticed that, lag perhaps? I play on SSP server generated on my own computer rather then connect to a hosted server so I've never had an issue with lag
Krysis2k10 No, it cant be a lag problem because the same thing happens in single player. I thought it might have only been resonant ender that was the issue but the same thing happens with bacteria and growth medium.
The MindCrafters That's harsh, sorry I can't help further (I'm by no means an expert on the back end of how minecraft and mods work, just how to play them, etc). Hope you can figure it out. I also play the DW 1.7.10 pack and I'm a huge fan of the conduits after losing the ducts, to the point that even after their return I personally think I'll be sticking with the conduits. Thanks for the videos by the way! I consider myself pretty well versed for knowledge of the items in the mods and how to effectively and efficiently use them, and yet videos and tutorials like yours always show me there's a little more to know!
and there are tons of computer craft programs to automatically deal with it for you. And Me allows easy collection, process, and insertion of yellorium and extraction of cyanite.
Even 5 years later many of these videos still have relevant information on the mods.
That's 90% true. There are some small changes like blizz powder requiring essence of knowledge instead of destabilized redstone
zKampeR, yeah but overall most parts of the mods are the same.

Such a valuable tip about placing Geli Cryothium into a big reactor! It's such a pain this stuff... Flood gate! Just great! Thanks!

Thank you, didn't know about the flood gate, this helped me out a lot.
The liquid form of Gelid Cryotheum is also used in the mod SimplyJetpacks
Thanks! I was wondering how to efficiently fill a big reactor and you answered it for me.
I got all my cryotheum from creating a mystcraft world with added cryotheum blocks page and I have a world packed with the stuff. It was pretty hard finding the page but I got it eventually

Marcos Ramos it also looks cooler
I find that having the cryotheum and lava make contact at their max flow distance gives obsidian most of the time
That Flood Gate needs more love !
i miss you :(
You can also make Gelid Bees that give you cryotheum dust
Friken bees?
Reactors can be cooled by diamond blocks. 5x5x5 casing reactor with 5 fuel rods cooled by gelid cryotheum outputs 4.86 k Rf\tick, by diamond blocks 4,75 k Rf\tick with little bit less effective fuel burning. But this way is a lot more cheap.
gelid cryotheum is negative -223 Celsius! That is colder than liquid nitrogen itself!
use it to fill the moat around your ice fortress
Turn Up The Awesome! :)
Should I use this insted of destabilized redstone? I already have 23,000rf/t stable
yeah you could probably get a good 35k or more, the second best is resonant ender
found out tinkers construct valve block can work th same when filling a big reactor with this coolant
Old video I know, but do you have to use essence of knowledge instead of redstone to make the blizz powder now?
It looks like it!
That just make it cheaper
Super useful, thanks bud
put a snowball in a fluid transposer with fluid redstone for blizz powder
Not anymore. It looks like you need to use liquid XP
@@zakman246 not if your still useing 1.7.10

Perhaps you could just fill it all.

Can it be used to cool a nuclear reactor?
Yup, it is one of the best fluids to use.

Don't forget cryogenic stablised flux duct
so i made the aques acumulator but it doesnt seem to be feeding the glacial- snowball maker thing. maybe i should have hooked it up to a reservoir instead?
or you should learn how config your machines
there in the cog tab in the machines GUI
Where is that glass from you used to put around the water sources? What is it called?
+Matthew Park forge microblock mod
And how do you get the niter?
Very useful!!
What mod adds the hologram-looking thing at the end of the intro?
EariosRandomness frfr
realy helpful
thx
Is all this in Sky Factory 3?
TURN UP THE AWESOME!
What do you use instead conduits now that thermal exp doesnt have it anymore?

what were those pipes he was using to connect those machines?
+iMeep MC Ender Liquid Conduits
+iMeep MC ender IO pipes i think
but water turns a lava source block into obsidian so what?
How can you pump gelid cryotheum out of a reactor?
Yup
+JoshA1977 With a pump as he had said
The buildcraft pump, like he said.
Why use gelid cryotheum as coolant when water is infinite?
Ah never really bothered with reactors. Seemed too dangerous and involved.
Because of efficiency
despite the name, big reactors is completely safe, the worst thing that can happen is you burn through your fuel too fast
it can also be used for making cyro stabalized fluxducts that have infinite rf transfer rate
and there are tons of computer craft programs to automatically deal with it for you. And Me allows easy collection, process, and insertion of yellorium and extraction of cyanite.
what can you use if you cant get bc factory???????????????????????????????????????
Umm...
a bucket
._.
Flinn X! Didnt you watch the vid it takes FOR EVER
Ok you could use dispensers .
What mod adds those signs?
th-cam.com/video/G3e8RBRYPIE/w-d-xo.html
I found a bliz and when a random night I was out I found a bliz, in a SAVANNA BIOME??? Idk what happend but I don't care it scared me...
What about a fluid reactor?
4 words:
Astral Sorcery star light
wait no I didn't know starlight couldn't be used as a coolant
are you sure that they are rare, because i get used to find 30 per night under my sky village...
this vid is like 1.5 years old. Mods probably made them less rare.
still worse than ender
To make or use?
