Someone else pointed this out in another video, notice how Sephiroth switches who he targets with his attacks depending on who the player has control over and will switch character mid combo if the player does. This boss fight isn’t just Cloud vs. Sephiroth, it’s Sephiroth vs. YOU the player

All the bosses tend to target the player and ignore the AI. Sephiroth is just faster at switching targets.

If a character’s struggling against a boss, it’s just a matter of diverting the attention away by switching to a character that can tank a few hits while you heal up. As Sephiroth switches targets much faster, it’s almost easier to cheese the AI and save your characters, constantly diverting his attention to whoever can take the hit and attacking in the meantime.
This version of ONE WINGED ANGEL sounds like it was coming out of someone's Nightmare

Still don't understand how some people still prefer the Advent Children version over this. This is literally the best it has ever sounded. The intensity and the energy of it is unmatched and perfectly represents Sephiroth better than prior renditions.
Strange since the greatest warrior has yet to reveal themselves. Give it up to the grandmaster of the great sword. The crimson caped crusader of the void. The greatest warrior of all GILGAMESH!!!
I like how the first phase sounds chaotic, random, out of place, even kind of wrong. It fits concidering this fight dosn't happen at all in the OG FF7.
It's like it takes the genuine "WTF" moments of veteran FF7 fans and turns their shock into music. I love it.
Favorite part of this is that is Tifa joins the fight, Sephiroth acknowledges her, and tells her "Begone." He knows where Cloud gets his strength from.
Its almost like he somehow knows about the events of Kingdom Hearts.

@therealgirl3295 Capcom seems to be the only one to listen. Either uploading music themselves ASAP even before the game launches and not striking channels that for whatever reason manage to do it before them. And there's Bandai Namco with the Bamco Music Center channel.

As someone that loves the ff7 universe and badass as sephiroth is I think I may have found my fave mix of this tune. The change of diffrent parts is just amazing, gives such a chilling feeling that this is all down to you. Such amazing work. Just take my sub already lol.

What I love about this piece is that it could just as easily fit the arrival of some genetically engineered monstrosity OR a biblical apocalypse... because Sephiroth is both.

Im curious if Rebirth is gonna have another version and try to 1 Up Remakes. But i still think hands down this is the best version of One Winged Angel. I listened to this live for the anniversary when it kept getting delayed. And its 1000x better live. That final moment when everyone is destroying the ghosts and the orchestra kicks it into overdrive as Cloud is rushing toward Sephiroth. UGH its so good

I've always found Tifa joining the fight against Sephiroth to be weird, like somehow she's not crazy enough of a character to be fighting someone this powerful. Like, Cloud was a super-soldier test subject with a big-ass sword, Aerith is the descendant of ancient beings who can shoot pellets from a staff and cast spells, Barret is a massive (and by that I mean he's just huge) eco-terrorist with a minigun for an arm, and Tifa... has puffy boots and a beanbag for hair. It just kinda felt like sending Captain America, Hulk, Thor, and Paul who knows karate to fight Loki

I dont understand why so many people shit on my remake theme so much. There are people out there that say this is better than the original in a musician's perspective and I see why. FF7R covered the 1st half of the 1st disk of the original game, of which covers the entire Midgar city arc. For context, the Midgar city arc was the 1st 6-8 hours of a MASSIVE EPIC spanning THREE ps1 disks, at the time, just because of the sheer amount of detailed cut scenes and the 1st attempt at a 3D open world game.
Remake itself, is HUGE with the level of detailed graphics and content Square added. i do believe that part 2 (Rebirth) finishes the rest of OG disk 1, all of which is open world, over the course of 2 more modern day disks. Holy HELL! Aerith's fate might be decided in Rebirth, we shall see.
I dread how big the final game of the remake trilogy will be; a whole world-spanning open world with airships and epic scale conflicts; of which is probably spanning its own set of MODERN discs.
