My first time playing this game was the best, when i defeated Bizarro∙Sephiroth, i went into the kitchen to get refreshments and then one winged angel played and i peeked around the corner to see Safer Sephiroth. I took off running and picked up the controller. Ahh the good times i had as a kid.
This isn’t even my final form. I remember staying up until 4 in the morning playing FF7. I had beaten bizarro Sephiroth and waiting for the cut scene. When the music started up I got hella excited when safer Sephiroth descended from the top of the screen. Holy hell, it was one of the best boss fights I’ve ever played. It took me a few attempts, but when I defeated him I could not believe I had finished the entire game.
Will never forget the moment i reached to him as a kid the theme starting the chills my dad and sister watching me litteraly captivated by the theme. so much memories with Sephiroth !
Same with me and my older brother. I remember watching him play this game back in the late 90's and when he got to this point (before ever getting the Knights of the Round materia and so forth) thinking this was the most epic thing I had ever witnessed.

Finished FF7 two days ago, and I keep coming back to see this replay. This boss battle is excellent, and the musical score is probably the greatest boss battle theme I've ever heard.

While I do still like FF7 Remake a lot, it is almost comical how much they shoehorned Sephiroth into it, despite him not supposed to be showing up until a fair bit after Midgar.
Even when you see him it's not actually him. But yeah, being told about the legend through the eyes of Cloud, with him saying something like, "Sephiroth's strength is unreal. He's even stronger than the stories say." And then he whips out a 7 foot katana and cuts a green dragon in half.

I remember when I first beat FF7, it was my first RPG and as a complete noob I was under leveled, under equipped, and I didn't really understand the mechanics and stats of the characters. I had missed out on pretty much every over-powered materia and I had no level 4 limit breaks. We may complain now that the final battle was way too easy but just remember that for a lot of kids this was their first RPG and in some cases PS1 was probably their first console. I had to try this fight at least 30 times before I finally beat the game, so kudos to the developers for making this final fight possible for noobs like me!
I often just rewatch the bit at 19:42. Just love the way the camera is moving in and flashes between both of them. It really drives home (as if it wasn’t drilled in enough) how personal the battle is between them
when i reached sephiroth the first time my son watched me for seemed like an age drinking stubby bottles of beer, we both cheered when i beat him then end seq then credits. R I P garry love and miss you so much son.

I remember watching my brother play this part. He knew that there was more than one phase to Sephiroth because his friends told him and he knew what to expect. I didn’t know. When my brother beat the first phase, I said “you did it! You beat him!” Then, the music started and I followed up with “oh, shit!” That was the first time I used the term “oh, shit” instead of “oh, crap”. 🤣

@@penguinpng-gj1lr teleport won't help when characters can go over light speed and come back before you input commands. 200 golden blocks is nothing,Steve's entire inventory is a pyramid,some characters can destroy planets,stars,universe's and multiverses. Creative mod can be eareased since it is still in 3D while some of the cast is near 5D. Enchanted netherite is not really anything special,with the force of an object moving at mftl+ speeds it is breaking. Steve is weak,and that's not a bad thing.

I remember thinking holy cow how can you top this over and over again. But when that final limit break happens, it feels so final and complete. A very satisfactory finishing move to an epic final battle to an epic game.

Lots of people say Sephiroth is a easy boss. For me it was the perfect end boss fight, I went in the fight having Cloud around lvl 57, Tifa lvl 55, Barret lvl 54. I did very little grinding, and most of my materia wasn't fully leveled. When i hit him with the final blow, my party had no elixirs left, X-potions, or mega elixirs, and every party member was below 200HP. The battle was so close, it almost seemed like it was scripted, so much fun.
I feel like nowadays so many game guides tell you the ins and outs of games to the point where every player will know exactly what to do throughout the whole experience and its kind of sad I purposefully only pulled up a guide when I was completely stuck on a puzzle or something, and generally tried to avoid looking up any strategies or spend too much time grinding, so I wasnt entirely prepared or knowledgeable on what this fight was like, so I just tried as best as I could it took me like, 40 minutes, and I was completely screwed by the end of it but my god, that final hit was the most satisfying thing ive felt in a game for a while lol I get not everybody cares for gameplay in an rpg, but using guides or grinding excessively kind of defeats the purpose of the combat
what gets me about the final omnislash is the emotion behind it. after all the confusion, all the manipulation, all the chaos and even the loss of a dear friend, in this one moment, you can finally see the object of all that despair getting bodied in spectacular fashion. in my playthrough, i told sephiroth that this was for aerith. and i savored every second of it.
The scenes i want to see most in the Remake is... 1.Cloud cross-dressing (Honey Bee Inn) 2.Clouds past 3.When Cloud returns to his home town to find out its not burned down and everyone thinks he's crazy. Also the mansion quest where you find Vincent. 4.obviously Aerith's death - - wow... just realizing theres to much to list - 235.Everything to do with the Northern crater including the final battle with Sephiroth haha lol good luck making this game Square holy shit

Dio Brando its not episodic, its a multipart series. Meaning you get full standalone 40-50h experiences in order to fill all the plot. The first part takes part only in Midgar, but an expanded Midgar. Midgar looks like 10 times larger in the remake. Plus, Midgar alone is 2 blu rays big, so how do you expect to fit 5 or even more blu rays in a single $60 game??? Square would just lose money with the high production costs.
When you think about it, once Sephiroth has used Supernova the ending of Final Fantasy VII ends up being: A severely burned Earth, along with Mars and Neptune, drift alone in a solar system with no sun. Sure, you beat Sephiroth and stopped Meteor. But at what cost?
Everything that happen in supernova its just an illusion to trap the parties we didn't known what actually sephiroth did when the party is in supernova effect
Gods, do I remember seeing that showdown between Cloud and Sephiroth for the first time. My buddies and I were all at a friends house watching him get the shit kicked out of him in what we thought was the last battle. He finally powered through it and we were all jumping around and laughing until Sephiroth showed up in front of Cloud. We nearly shit our pants.
Somebody has to listen to my absolutely epic experience with this game. I’ve heard it’s a classic and recently I decided to purchase it on the PS4 store. Never played it before. To keep a long story short. Hours ago I got to the end of the game and kept getting pummeled. My characters were all roughly level 50. I equipped the summons Odin, Behamut, Neo Bahamut, Hades and Phoenix amongst the classic trio Cloud, Tifa, and Barret. Barret used debarrier and I used all my summons then had Cloud spam Comet2 and Elixers/Phoenix Downs. By the end of it, Sephiroth used his THIRD Super Nova and utterly killed Barret. Tifa was turned into a frog and Sephiroth finished with Heartless angel. With Barret dead and Frog Tifa at 1hp, she tosses Cloud an elixir and cloud finishes Sephiroth off with a nasty cross slash. It was a picture perfect scenario that felt like it could be cannon to the story. I’ve never seen the ending, so when it was Sephiroth vs Cloud 1v1, I thought I was smoked. That Omnislash was epic. What an incredible game. I’m so glad I finally played through it and finished it.
Glad you decided to play it, this game is awesome...if I may recommend something to you if you decide to play again, you should look for a summon called knights of the round it makes this fight so much easier
I had a great time fighting Sephiroth in the Remake. As crazy as it sounds, I beat him the same way I did in the original. He hit me with Super Nova and everybody was down to 1 hp. I used Barret’s “fire in the hole” limit and shot a hole straight through Sephiroth’s chest. Which felt twice as rewarding after knowing that Sephiroth stabbed Barret first earlier on. It was perfect revenge for Barret.
@Michael Iwu Exactly! Plus the guy (most likely) deliberately made the asteroid that he uses for his Supernova attack smash through some of the planets in the solar system before hitting the sun.
I appreciate this upload and I did read your description. The way you finished was similar to the first time I played this game. And it was the most fun out of all the times I beat it. Reason being it required my own strategies. I was around the same level too as this video. The game is much for fun when you just play it without reading walk throughs or finding the quickest ways to beat a boss. If I remember correctly, I only had clouds second limit break. But still the first run was the most enjoyable, and I think people forget about enjoying the fun factor and more about perfecting the art of beating the game.

From a video editor's perspective, it also feels somewhat pointless watching endless clips of yourself utterly destroying a big boss. You think of a lot of different comments you get in the future too, like "this was great but you were way overleveled/too cheap." While I do still like FF7 Remake a lot, it is almost comical how much they shoehorned Sephiroth into it, despite him not supposed to be showing up until a fair bit after Midgar.
Even when you see him it's not actually him. But yeah, being told about the legend through the eyes of Cloud, with him saying something like, "Sephiroth's strength is unreal. He's even stronger than the stories say." And then he whips out a 7 foot katana and cuts a green dragon in half.

I remember when I first beat FF7, it was my first RPG and as a complete noob I was under leveled, under equipped, and I didn't really understand the mechanics and stats of the characters. I had missed out on pretty much every over-powered materia and I had no level 4 limit breaks. We may complain now that the final battle was way too easy but just remember that for a lot of kids this was their first RPG and in some cases PS1 was probably their first console. I had to try this fight at least 30 times before I finally beat the game, so kudos to the developers for making this final fight possible for noobs like me!

I often just rewatch the bit at 19:42. Just love the way the camera is moving in and flashes between both of them. It really drives home (as if it wasn’t drilled in enough) how personal the battle is between them

When my brother beat the first phase, I said “you did it! 200 golden blocks is nothing,Steve's entire inventory is a pyramid,some characters can destroy planets,stars,universe's and multiverses.
Creative mod can be eareased since it is still in 3D while some of the cast is near 5D.
Enchanted netherite is not really anything special,with the force of an object moving at mftl+ speeds it is breaking.
Steve is weak,and that's not a bad thing.

I remember thinking holy cow how can you top this over and over again. But when that final limit break happens, it feels so final and complete. A very satisfactory finishing move to an epic final battle to an epic game.

Lots of people say Sephiroth is a easy boss. For me it was the perfect end boss fight, I went in the fight having Cloud around lvl 57, Tifa lvl 55, Barret lvl 54. I did very little grinding, and most of my materia wasn't fully leveled. When i hit him with the final blow, my party had no elixirs left, X-potions, or mega elixirs, and every party member was below 200HP. The battle was so close, it almost seemed like it was scripted, so much fun.
The boss is easy if you know what you’re doing lol.
Emerald and Ruby weapon were the toughest enemies in the game.
I feel like nowadays so many game guides tell you the ins and outs of games to the point where every player will know exactly what to do throughout the whole experience and its kind of sad
I purposefully only pulled up a guide when I was completely stuck on a puzzle or something, and generally tried to avoid looking up any strategies or spend too much time grinding, so I wasnt entirely prepared or knowledgeable on what this fight was like, so I just tried as best as I could
it took me like, 40 minutes, and I was completely screwed by the end of it but my god, that final hit was the most satisfying thing ive felt in a game for a while lol
I get not everybody cares for gameplay in an rpg, but using guides or grinding excessively kind of defeats the purpose of the combat
what gets me about the final omnislash is the emotion behind it. after all the confusion, all the manipulation, all the chaos and even the loss of a dear friend, in this one moment, you can finally see the object of all that despair getting bodied in spectacular fashion. in my playthrough, i told sephiroth that this was for aerith. and i savored every second of it.
Sephiroth is the final boss all gaslighters. Our boy came through for Avalanche in the end 👑

Meaning you get full standalone 40-50h experiences in order to fill all the plot.
The first part takes part only in Midgar, but an expanded Midgar. Midgar looks like 10 times larger in the remake. Plus, Midgar alone is 2 blu rays big, so how do you expect to fit 5 or even more blu rays in a single $60 game??? Square would just lose money with the high production costs.

Somebody has to listen to my absolutely epic experience with this game. I’ve heard it’s a classic and recently I decided to purchase it on the PS4 store. Never played it before. To keep a long story short. Hours ago I got to the end of the game and kept getting pummeled. My characters were all roughly level 50. I equipped the summons Odin, Behamut, Neo Bahamut, Hades and Phoenix amongst the classic trio Cloud, Tifa, and Barret. Barret used debarrier and I used all my summons then had Cloud spam Comet2 and Elixers/Phoenix Downs. By the end of it, Sephiroth used his THIRD Super Nova and utterly killed Barret. Tifa was turned into a frog and Sephiroth finished with Heartless angel. With Barret dead and Frog Tifa at 1hp, she tosses Cloud an elixir and cloud finishes Sephiroth off with a nasty cross slash. It was a picture perfect scenario that felt like it could be cannon to the story. I’ve never seen the ending, so when it was Sephiroth vs Cloud 1v1, I thought I was smoked. That Omnislash was epic. What an incredible game. I’m so glad I finally played through it and finished it.

I had a great time fighting Sephiroth in the Remake. As crazy as it sounds, I beat him the same way I did in the original. He hit me with Super Nova and everybody was down to 1 hp. I used Barret’s “fire in the hole” limit and shot a hole straight through Sephiroth’s chest. Which felt twice as rewarding after knowing that Sephiroth stabbed Barret first earlier on. It was perfect revenge for Barret.

I appreciate this upload and I did read your description. The way you finished was similar to the first time I played this game. And it was the most fun out of all the times I beat it. Reason being it required my own strategies. I was around the same level too as this video. The game is much for fun when you just play it without reading walk throughs or finding the quickest ways to beat a boss. If I remember correctly, I only had clouds second limit break. But still the first run was the most enjoyable, and I think people forget about enjoying the fun factor and more about perfecting the art of beating the game.

From a video editor's perspective, it also feels somewhat pointless watching endless clips of yourself utterly destroying a big boss. You think of a lot of different comments you get in the future too, like "this was great but you were way overleveled/too cheap."
