I hope this is read before comments are posted. Since this video has gone up three years ago, I've been hilariously criticized for not taking the easy way out and spamming Level 4 Limit Breaks or abusing Knights of the Round materia. Not to mock any of you guys, but I honestly didn't know or think that so many people would be so passionate about this. Let's be real though, if you know your way inside and out of Final Fantasy VII (or most Final Fantasies for this matter) you don't need to overkill the final boss battles with 1-button tricks or max level parties. What happened to the good old days of strategy?
Just sayin', no need to make mountains out of molehills guys, take it easy and appreciate this for what it is, I didn't wake up with the intention to piss off every viewer who comes across this video lol.

Wow, I've never done this at my level before. :) This was way easier than I expected it to be after making it past the Zombie Dragons and Iron Giants. The Megalixers are cheap and I'm sorry about that, I could have gone without them.
Jenova SYNTHESIS (0:49) - Needless to say, if you're a first time FF7 player you'll find this fight easy! Give it your all because when the clock hits zero you're finished with an Ultima spell.
Bizzaro Sephiroth (3:03) - I initially forgot how to beat this segment at first, not understanding why the core wasn't taking any damage. The slower animations made me think "screw it" and I KOR'd it out of impatience.
Safer Sephiroth (10:04) - The biggest surprise was the sudden power boost he got at the very end. If you can bring a Ribbon and equip it on the character who will use White Wind, you can void Super Nova's after effects very quickly. He can be slowed too.
Cloud / Sephiroth Dual (18:40) - Remember back when you saw those graphics for the first time as a child? You swore those were some of the best graphics any game would see. For those who wept at the lack of Omnislash... here's your answer!

I just remember having my whole family watching me beat this boss for the first time. We only had one TV in the house at the time and whenever I would play this game my family would watch and when we reached the Sephiroth my whole family cheered me on. Good times

I was able to finish High School, College, meet the love of my life, marry her and have kids and grandchildren by the time Supernova ended. My Playstation had been covered in dust and gained a yellow shade but the disc inside, still shining all these years.

While I do still like FF7 Remake a lot, it is almost comical how much they shoehorned Sephiroth into it, despite him not supposed to be showing up until a fair bit after Midgar.
Even when you see him it's not actually him. But yeah, being told about the legend through the eyes of Cloud, with him saying something like, "Sephiroth's strength is unreal. He's even stronger than the stories say." And then he whips out a 7 foot katana and cuts a green dragon in half.

My first time playing this game was the best, when i defeated Bizarro∙Sephiroth, i went into the kitchen to get refreshments and then one winged angel played and i peeked around the corner to see Safer Sephiroth. I took off running and picked up the controller. Ahh the good times i had as a kid.
This isn’t even my final form. I remember staying up until 4 in the morning playing FF7. I had beaten bizarro Sephiroth and waiting for the cut scene. When the music started up I got hella excited when safer Sephiroth descended from the top of the screen. Holy hell, it was one of the best boss fights I’ve ever played. It took me a few attempts, but when I defeated him I could not believe I had finished the entire game.

200 golden blocks is nothing,Steve's entire inventory is a pyramid,some characters can destroy planets,stars,universe's and multiverses.
Creative mod can be eareased since it is still in 3D while some of the cast is near 5D.
Enchanted netherite is not really anything special,with the force of an object moving at mftl+ speeds it is breaking.
Steve is weak,and that's not a bad thing.

I remember when I first beat FF7, it was my first RPG and as a complete noob I was under leveled, under equipped, and I didn't really understand the mechanics and stats of the characters. I had missed out on pretty much every over-powered materia and I had no level 4 limit breaks. We may complain now that the final battle was way too easy but just remember that for a lot of kids this was their first RPG and in some cases PS1 was probably their first console. I had to try this fight at least 30 times before I finally beat the game, so kudos to the developers for making this final fight possible for noobs like me!

I remember watching my brother play this part. He knew that there was more than one phase to Sephiroth because his friends told him and he knew what to expect. I didn’t know. When my brother beat the first phase, I said “you did it! You beat him!” Then, the music started and I followed up with “oh, shit!” That was the first time I used the term “oh, shit” instead of “oh, crap”. 🤣

Its how the ai was programmed. Its meant to do a certain order of attacks then repeat.

Even in 2021 Sephiroth's final boss fight is INSANE.
what gets me about the final omnislash is the emotion behind it. after all the confusion, all the manipulation, all the chaos and even the loss of a dear friend, in this one moment, you can finally see the object of all that despair getting bodied in spectacular fashion. in my playthrough, i told sephiroth that this was for aerith. and i savored every second of it.
Sephiroth is the final boss all gaslighters. Our boy came through for Avalanche in the end 👑

I remember thinking holy cow how can you top this over and over again. But when that final limit break happens, it feels so final and complete. A very satisfactory finishing move to an epic final battle to an epic game.
Lots of people say Sephiroth is a easy boss. For me it was the perfect end boss fight, I went in the fight having Cloud around lvl 57, Tifa lvl 55, Barret lvl 54. I did very little grinding, and most of my materia wasn't fully leveled. When i hit him with the final blow, my party had no elixirs left, X-potions, or mega elixirs, and every party member was below 200HP. The battle was so close, it almost seemed like it was scripted, so much fun.
The boss is easy if you know what you’re doing lol.
Emerald and Ruby weapon were the toughest enemies in the game.
I feel like nowadays so many game guides tell you the ins and outs of games to the point where every player will know exactly what to do throughout the whole experience and its kind of sad
I purposefully only pulled up a guide when I was completely stuck on a puzzle or something, and generally tried to avoid looking up any strategies or spend too much time grinding, so I wasnt entirely prepared or knowledgeable on what this fight was like, so I just tried as best as I could
it took me like, 40 minutes, and I was completely screwed by the end of it but my god, that final hit was the most satisfying thing ive felt in a game for a while lol
I get not everybody cares for gameplay in an rpg, but using guides or grinding excessively kind of defeats the purpose of the combat
i think we can all agree supernova is the coolest attack in any video game ever

I think it’s a play on the word “seraph”, a type of angel.

I love how the sounds from the Menu matched the soundtrack beats.

First played it 23 years ago as a kid, always a special place in my collection. Although I don't think it's still ahead of it's time, it took a long time before it really started to get a bit forgotten.

This game.....is phenomenal. One of the best games I've ever played, pretty much.....the best RPG I've ever played so far. The music, the iconic characters, the innovative gameplay (especially when it comes to the use of Materia), the heart-wrenching story.....everything is incredible. Especially because I happen to be fond of old school games, unlike many others. I mainly found out about the Final Fantasy franchise via the Super Smash Bros. franchise. Many videogame franchises I'm now aware of is because of Smash, and I'm thankful for it's existence. When I saw Cloud's reveal trailer from Smash 4, I was quite interested in who he was. Getting my ass handed to me online within Smash by one playing Cloud made me more interested with his character and the franchise he belongs to, especially with me hearing the iconic *"Victory Fanfare"* for the first time. Even then, I mainly got more interested with the Final Fantasy franchise this year, back in June. Later, I acquired the Final Fantasy VII and VIII Remastered Twin Pack not too long after, and I was completely stoked. Starting with Final Fantasy VII, I officially became a Final Fantasy fan. And me seeing Sephiroth get announced for Smash recently merely invigorated me to finish the game after being focused on other things for awhile. Speaking of which, I actually finished the game today. And while the end was relatively easy (mainly due to my characters being *near* maxed out. I made sure not to have Cloud, Barret, and Tifa fully maxed out, as this simply gives Sephiroth's final form more of an edge in battle: 30,000 health for each maxed out character. And his base health is already 400,000. I also never used the Knights Of The Round summon on Jenova-Synthesis. So yeah, I finished off Jenova-Synthesis, Bizarro-Sephiroth, and Safer-Sephiroth before 10 minutes could even be counted), it was still epic. Especially.....the (seemingly) final confrontation between Cloud and Sephiroth. It was the very embodiment of the term *"tense".* Sephiroth pulled Cloud back into the Lifestream.....he was waiting for Cloud to come, whilst smiling in glee.....he really thought that he had any chance of winning, even after Cloud and the others stripped away his power by destroying his forms. He had nothing but his sword, and his desperation to win. Cloud and Sephiroth stared at one another.....the screen flashing back to back. Cloud then just ends the stare-off by activating his final Limit Break, *"Omnislash".* He unleashed his fury upon Sephiroth. For what he did to Zack, for him killing his mother, for him destroying his home, for him killing Aerith.....for everything. Cloud saved the world with said fury......and the entire scene is now my most favorite within the game. And even though Advent Children exists, the 1997 original.....seemingly ended on a cliffhanger. Or something. Whilst showcasing a post-credit in the far future with an adult Red-XIII, his kids, and Midgar being completely covered in moss.....with the planet being fully healed. At that point, Cloud, Barret, Tifa, Cait Sith, Cid, Yuffie, Vincent....they're all gone. Only Nanaki remains.....this just made me sorrowful, even though they saved the world.....Final Fantasy VII is a great game. One of the greatest games of all time. The game deserves such a title. It earned it, due to said game breaking standards, and bringing fun to those who played it. Nowadays, I'll play Final Fantasy VIII as well. But for now, I'll just reel from the end of such a beloved game, the very first Final Fantasy title that I've ever played and finished. I don't know if I'll ever experience another fantastical experience from a Final Fantasy game, like I did with VII.....and that's fine. I enjoyed the experience, and I'll never forget it.

This was the best explanation of how I’ve ever felt about this game. My first RPG when I was a kid, knew nothing about the game and just popped it in…never knowing that the things to come would change my life when it came to gaming. I’ve played many games over the years and NOTHING will ever top this beautiful piece of art. I fully mastered this game…and defeating earths “weapons” was the greatest achievement ever. I can’t tell u how many hours I had logged in this game but it was in the 1000s. Thank you for your illustration on the epic beauty of this priceless gem ✊🏽

I remember battling Safer Sephiroth the first time. Everyone was dead except Cloud. He had 1HP and Sephiroth performed his asteroid summon attack or whatever its called. Went through the whole animation feeling defeated. The asteroid passed over Cloud, and missed. Cloud was on limit break (meteorain), used it and beat Sephiroth. Probably my favorite gaming moment.

THIS is what Sephiroth really is. Yeah, Kingdom Hearts made him badass and we are blessed to have him (plus Cloud and Sora) in Smash Ultimate, but there's no denying this, FF7, is how we originally know the theme and rage from this villain.
