  • In this video, we give you a step-by-step on how to install the BMP Tuning Illuminator series Tiguan headlights as well as how to adjust them once they're installed! This has been a highly requested video for a while now so hopefully this serves as a helpful visual on how to do this install and adjustment yourself! On this Tiguan in particular, we installed our V2 tiguan light, but be sure to check out both styles to decide which is the right look for you!

    What about trims with active cruise control? I’ve read that you need to “recalibrate” the system after installing the head lights?

      I have not heard of that, the headlights are not typically used for adaptive cruise.

      I guess the there are sensors in the front bumper that need to be disconnected when you take the bumper off, those sensors of for the ACC. Again, not sure if this is true but read it on a forum

    For the headlight adjustments, how far should the car be from the wall? And is there a height requirement for the height of the beam?

      The standard rule of thumb is that the car should be about 25ft from the wall. Height is dependent on the vehicle and some local laws in some areas. But a safe way to do it would be to pull the car close to the wall and mark with tape where they are height-wise at the center of the beam, then back the car up to the 25ft mark and the beam should drop just 2" or so. The passenger side can be a little higher since we drive on the right side here in the States but that is a preference thing, most cars are set up like this from the factory.

    How much condensation is normal? Is there anything I should do to combat?

    • @BMPTuning
      @BMPTuning  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You shouldnt be having any condensation, but if you do get some you'd want to ensure that the plugs on the back of the headlight are properly installed - if they are, remove the one with condensation, let it dry out, and reinstall - typically we do not see reoccurrences of it after that!

      @@BMPTuning is that due to existing moisture inside the headlight? By drying it and resealing it shouldn’t happen again?

      @@Joseluis_Santos We havent had it happen often tbh, but sometimes folks notice theyve lost the plug on the back or it wasnt seated correctly/etc.
