- Leek, in Kashmir language we call it Pran. Mostly used in Kashmiri wedding, functions & festivals. It is an important ingredient of Kashmiri Wazwan. As we all know that the shelf-life of Leek is too short. When we store it for a month or two it starts sprout. So in this video I'm showing you how can we store Leek for 1 Year or more. Some people also call this Spice as Tikki.

Lovely Recipe. Here in Canada the sun is not strong to dry this preparation & i fear it will get fungus growth on it. Is it Ok to dry in oven at low temperature?

Don't dry by using oven. Freezing is the second best option after Sun drying. How to store in the freezer:Keep it in the air tight vaccum sealed packed then wrap with the silver foil to avoid accumulation of ice crystals within the spices. Keep you freezer at -1°C.
