  • Leek, in Kashmir language we call it Pran. Mostly used in Kashmiri wedding, functions & festivals. It is an important ingredient of Kashmiri Wazwan. As we all know that the shelf-life of Leek is too short. When we store it for a month or two it starts sprout. So in this video I'm showing you how can we store Leek for 1 Year or more. Some people also call this Spice as Tikki.

    Appne Jo masala Glass container mein rakha hein wo glass bottles / containers bahut hi khubsurat shape hein , kya is taraha key glass bottles app ke Yaha milte hein agar milte hein to mein purchase karna chahuga , aur pran shallot bulbs bhi.

    Lovely Recipe. Here in Canada the sun is not strong to dry this preparation & i fear it will get fungus growth on it. Is it Ok to dry in oven at low temperature?
    Is it OK to freeze these ?
    Please add the approximate amounts you used as a guide which can be adjusted as per taste. Thanks

      Don't dry by using oven. Freezing is the second best option after Sun drying. How to store in the freezer:Keep it in the air tight vaccum sealed packed then wrap with the silver foil to avoid accumulation of ice crystals within the spices. Keep you freezer at -1°C.

      Leek mtlb hara pyaaz or in kashmiri we call it Pran. It is different from onion.
