Coming out of retirement - "the JUDGE", is a weight pulling sled designed for 1/8th scale monster trucks. These truck pulling the sled today, are 1/10th scale, 4x4, and electric! First, we run the 20lb sled by itself, and then second round we ADD 17lbs to the sled! Close to 40lbs these truck have to pull.. and if they can - they earn their drivers CARDS towards their BEST POWER HANDS - that will win the day! More information below!

** NOTE: We have decided that THiS YEAR is POKER YEAR! We wanted a poker run where participants of the TTC would collect Poker Cards throughout the day.. and on each event - the cards they earned were publicly displayed for all participants the see. The BEST POKER HAND at the end of 6 events - will win first place!
We have done this, so the folks who are operating on a budget, or who had a love for the TTC could come and WiN, no matter what truck they had. Now, by being a Tough Truck Competition - the truck who wins the most cards - has a GREAT ADVANTAGE at winning Many Cards during the day.

Great video! When I saw the grass I was a little put off, but it really helped people get traction and made it all down to the pulling power. Awesomeness!
that makes sense just used to seeing sleds on dirt but you make alot of sense about the traction for the 10th scale. thank you for the reply
I have said it before and I'll say it again, that Bomber has mad torque and traction.
The Judge is always entertaining.
The ones who did not make as many cards should have been the ones to get a chance to up their Anty. And get another card.

you should try trail biking, its kinda like rc trail riding but on a bike. Its tons of fun
Aaron probably did as a child or teen but he has a bad back and can barely stand and walk some days, that's why he has the RC skid steer.

Have you ever tried a sand hill climb? Dampen the sand first. It would have to be a speed trial.

This is one of my favorite events next to the hill climb. The Black Widow would have desamated the rest. Why is she m.i.a.? Either way that looked super fun, great video Medic. Great job to all the drivers!
Only BRUSHED motors this year bud! Widow is brushless.. I wanted a TTC that was possible for everyone this year :)

The Judge empty is a 40 or 50 pounds it's heavy! Pinky I would say is about 10 pounds plus Pinky also has dual 27 turn motors, but I do agree I actually thought my green Deadbolt would have done better at the sled pull.

Hi Daniel! Hey, right on.. always glad to read someone enjoys the show. Hmmm, deadbolt hey? Well.. first place I always look is the servo. Are you getting strong response, and a waterproof result? A cost effective servo that I like to use is a savox wp-231 they are about 35$ and are super strong and waterproof. No need for a BEC with that servo.. it runs well off the receiver!

Hi! I also Have a Deadbolt I know I am not as good as Aaron and I agree with him on the servo! I would also like to suggest that you try to run the truck stock and upgrade the things that bother you the most or that break first because everyone drives differently plus if you get good with your stock truck as you modify and upgrade your driving will sky rocket, I also am fairly new to the hobby just over a year actually. a trail finder 2 body would fit but you would have to shorten your wheelbase from 12 inches to 11.4 you can buy a set of Axial SCX10 Dingo links in order to do this.
It's would be cool if you guys made a TTC for like your rc's with brushless motors and vehicles like slashes and rustlers

They are amazing videos and one question since I am a slash fan but haven't had experience with anything else someone could enter the event with a slash but only with a brushed motor?
not in this particular competition.. as the slash does not have a "ladder-style" chassis, or tube cage. Different platforms ;)

It was a blast! My face hurt from laughing and smiling because it was just a riot and the scale park is way harder than it looks especially when your steering isnt working well...
How would a stock revo brushless go doing this, with some grippier tires and lowered stance?
Great video! Couple of questions...how much does the empty judge weigh, can 2WD pull it, or only 4x4, and I have noticed most of the rcs heavily pull to one side on an angle; is that because of how the Judge is attached?
The Judge is about 40 to 50 pounds empty, you might be able to pull it in 2wd but it would take good tires and good driving. The lean you are seeing is referred to as a torque lean, The Judge is heavy and hard for the trucks to pull making them lean do to all the torque from the brushed motors my Deadbolt leans when you stand on the gas at any time. and Luke's red Power Wagon actually pulls its front passenger tire off the ground when he floors it.. It doesn't harm the trucks in any way full scale vehicles do the same thing.

it is a 20t Brushed Axial Motor :) I smoked 2 of them this day.. but they have great wheel speed

This is an off topic question from the video. But how do you waterproof you're wired winch control unit? I just got the warn 1/8 zeon 10 winch. Also awesome pulls with the judge! You guys always do an bang up job.
You're not off topic it's still about RC! You can use Plasti Dip you can find it at a local hardware store or automotive store. Please note that this modification and running your winch in water can void your warranty

What upgrades should I get for my axial wraith spawn
All of them.
I would say run it as far as you can stock or as far as you want and change things that bug you the most first. I did that to my Deadbolt, and it worked well I just replaced what broke with upgraded parts and what bothered me the most or what I thought was hurting performance the most. The reason I am saying this is because everyone has a different driving style and will take different paths or lines over the same obstacle so what may work for me may not work for you, and so on. Its your truck upgrade things as you think it needs in ways you think will improve your rigs performance.

Hi! Most of the trucks in this are an Axial SCX10 or an RC4WD Trail Finder 2 that have been modified and upgraded. You can buy them at your local Hobby shop or at their respective websites RC4WD.com and AxialRacing.com!
