I'm not convinced it's the transmission that failed. Look what comes out of the tailpipe when the engine pops. If the transmission went. The exhaust would get damaged. But I don't think it would fall apart the way it did. That looks like internal pressure blew it apart. You have the drive shaft laying there. But I don't really see transmission parts or fluid coming down. My vote is engine failure.😢
I agree on that one . Some universal U joints have grease fittings to lube them as required. I had a 1966 Chevell it had fittings grease fitting . on both UJionts. Lack of lube
When emissions testing first started they basically did this same method and trashed my transmission. I didn’t realize it until I was going home and couldn’t go over 20 mph. I went back right away and of course they denied they did anything wrong.
Transmission is fine too. the U joint at the rear diff blew and their was no safety loop so the drive shaft flew off and tore the exhaust down. Expensive repair, but not as bad as it could have been.
@@bad74maverick1 In the description they said the trans locked up solid and cracked the case, which is why the driveshaft blew out from the momentum of the wheels and roller.
Not a common dyno failure. It was already damaged somehow. Single gear pulls aren’t hard on the driveline even with high HP cars. And as nice as that car is it’s not high horsepowered enough.
