No steam games support that stuff tho! It isn’t magic. Modders may unlock features later, but if you want the best experience and exclusives games, you want a PS5 with it. The adapter is just a bonus to add thousands of games as an option. And play them on an OLED. It’s by far the best headset at the price. Quest 3 is fine for mixed reality (which I hate) but awful for VR games in comparison. Wireless is also bad for your brain, I only use wired. OLED’s have no radiation. You want head haptics/eye tracking etc.. that’s what makes games like Horizon & GT7 possible on a PS5. Opinions aside, I’ve used PSVR2 since launch day about 2+ hours per night. @@CheesyBred The promise was that it would be supported more than it has been. Sony said repeatedly that they were all-in on VR. And this is not without precedent -- Sony did send out free adapters that allowed you to use the PSVR1 on Playstation 5.
@@ddsmitty1 Yeah, an adapter for their own hardware for you to spend money on their platform for something you bought in to that allowed you to transition your PS4 and purchase their PS5 to play the same games you also already paid for. They’re not giving away this adapter for you to spend money on a different platform and buy many of the same games you can get on PS5 at a price they can control and earn cuts of. Wait, connect to PC like other VR headsets? Shoot, if Blade & Sorcery and many others end up compatible, I might have to get this sometime AND trade in my PSVR1, the Move Controllers & Quest 1, and put that total trade-in value towards the PSVR 2.
Umm if a game supports SteamVR its gonna work on the PSVR2... Literally the point of SteamVR to be universally compatible between games and VR headsets so long as they both support SteamVR it will work
However, consider that 90% of the features of this visor are not available on PC (HDR, headset feedback, eye tracking, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback).
Sony over here dumping the lack of games issue onto steam fr, it’s low key a way of them giving up on the psvr2 but keeping it alive enough to promote sales without making more triple a vr games
Currently unavailable.... please make more of these available to retailers. I'm not bothered by some of the missing features, very few PC games use said features. I suspect they will be added/modded in anyway.
i've been praising PSVR2 before it was cool, also for anyone who finds the headset uncomfortable the PSVR2 subreddit community preferred comfort strap is the Globular Cluster CMP2
I got one for £350 a week ago but I think the sale ended on Monday. But I feel like that was a test to see if it would sell and it did, so I expect that will become the new price shortly
Sweet!! Still wanting some more VR experiences on my PS5 tho... heck an HD remake of SuperHot should be easy, and would be much appreciated low hanging fruit...
Now THIS would sell me a PSVR2! My laptop is too weak to do VR properly, and the PSVR2 won't change that. But if Alyx would be to land on my PS5, well...
If they want this to succeed on PS5, they need to bring the big VR games to it. But I think the fact that Sony is actually giving support to PC, means that this isn't going to happen.
@@Flomockia eye tracking can def be useful, especially with foveated rendering, but hdr is kinda pointless. Guess we’ll just have to hope and wait for modders
Because those things have to be supported by the game specifically. And since there hasn't been many HDR eye tracked PC headsets, no PC VR game supports those features Maybe modding can fix some of that though.
This is great and appreciated, having the opportunity to use the PSVR2 on PC is great, and I was waiting for it since day 1. But you should also inform consumers of the features that won't be coming to PC that are available only for PS5, like Eye Tracking, Headset feedback, HDR, adaptive triggers.

@@DeusVult566 I know I didn’t say it’s better or the best
@@Psyyylo yes sorry you wrote one of the best and it is true
You wish. HDR, headset feedback, eye tracking, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback aren't available when used on PC.
That is unless the PC community comes up with a way to re-enable these. Typical Sony laziness.
The PSVR2 is terrible. It's barely a £200 headset that they sell for £530... lol
This genuinely might convince me to buy it
i feel like this should be free or deeply discounted for PSVR2 early adopters
You, or maybe not even you, bought it with the promise of it doing exactly what it did and now you want extra benefits? They don’t owe anyone anything else lol
Here’s how I see it in my mind. They’re not giving away this adapter for you to spend money on a different platform and buy many of the same games you can get on PS5 at a price they can control and earn cuts of. If they can get an extra 60 bucks out of you, as you can see, they will lol
And I feel like Sony should stop with the 4K display nonsense, and actually advertise that it's 2000x2040 per eye, which is split into 2 from 4K. People who haven't done their home work are going to jump in expecting 4K clarity similar to their TV's and wind up sorely disappointed. The softer clarity from the fresnel lenses don't help either.
They should’ve done this at launch
We don't need an adapter, we need games!
now vr2 users have so many more games
@@THIS---GUY users with an PC, yes. But the rest...nope
I hate to tell you, but we aren't getting any more exclusive PSVR2 games out of Sony. This adaptor is their way of saying "goodbye, thanks for your money".
@@Asian_Import yes you're right, that's the problem and that's so f***** up from Sony!
@@Asian_Import yes, you've sadly right. That's so annoying to me.
Play REALLY has no limits!
let’s see if this makes the psvr2 sell a bit more
It has. 200% more
you could add psvr2 and the adapter in one pack.
PLEASE let this work for flat to VR games. Sony please look into the technology of unreal engine 5 games having easy port VR version. It could really help the VR market with more AAA VR games to play!
It works with both uevr and uuvr injectors
@@NerdyMangleryeah, but that’s all modders. we need real game studios and companies to do the same thing
dude have a shread of realism
@jonny_codphilo7809 there are modders that turn unreal games into full, motion controlled vr games. It's not unrealistic.
@@LeonB-l9j sony cannot do that, devs won't like it. You need permission to do most of that if you are a big company.
if only this WOULD NOT BE SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE!!!!
SONY thank you for the PC adaptor. We are finally able to play Half life Alyx using the Pc. One last thing please, PLEASE make a deal with valve to do a proper port of a
Half life Alyx to PS5 with updated features such eye tracking to pick up items and head vibration feedback. Please SONY PLEASE MAKE A DEAL WITH VALVE TO DO A PROPER PORT OF HALF LIFE ALYX!! You can even have New and exclusive stuff only For PS5 users. New Stage or new added enemies or environments only on PlayStation VR2.
Valve will not release Half Life Alyx on PS5. It's their bait to get more PC users.
Sweet hallelujah! Yes! PS VR 2 is the best VR hardware by far currently, but the game library isn't big - and this is just perfect! Yes yes yes yes!
Need more clarity on the display port cable needed for various pc/laptop set ups
Display port 1.4
NOT AMUSED. Where is the VR for Astro BOT!
This makes the PS VR2 even more versatile and even can be used for PC VR gaming without buying other brands thanks so much Sony you just made us have a all in one solution for PS5 and PC 😁
Wait, connect to PC like other VR headsets? Shoot, if Blade & Sorcery and many others end up compatible, I might have to get this sometime AND trade in my PSVR1, the Move Controllers & Quest 1, and put that total trade-in value towards the PSVR 2.
But you know you can´t play your psvr1 games anymore if you sell the stuff, right? ?
Umm if a game supports SteamVR its gonna work on the PSVR2...
Literally the point of SteamVR to be universally compatible between games and VR headsets so long as they both support SteamVR it will work
However, consider that 90% of the features of this visor are not available on PC (HDR, headset feedback, eye tracking, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback).
Don't forget to sell all your PSVR1 games too then because you won't be able to play them on anything else.
Keep the VR1.......
Sony over here dumping the lack of games issue onto steam fr, it’s low key a way of them giving up on the psvr2 but keeping it alive enough to promote sales without making more triple a vr games
Duh, for any psvr2 user this is bad. Real bad. They have no real plan to properly support this.
Sony: [Brushes hands] "We are finally done with this thing."
Lol
not confirm 🤨🤨🤨🤨

Day One PSVR2 Customers should get the Adapter for free.

Knock the price down £200 and I might consider buying one
im still waiting a couple years before i invest all that money prbly after the next gen system
It was 200$ off one week ago
i believe it’s still $200 off!
I got one for £350 a week ago but I think the sale ended on Monday. But I feel like that was a test to see if it would sell and it did, so I expect that will become the new price shortly
They did that last week u missed it
Smart 👍🏻 now a reason to have one for my PC 💕
were the heck do we buy the adapter at i have looked on the wedsite and you can buy it wth
Sweet!!
Still wanting some more VR experiences on my PS5 tho... heck an HD remake of SuperHot should be easy, and would be much appreciated low hanging fruit...
Need headset feedback and controllers vibration and adaptive triggers 😢😢😢😢😢
Alright, Steam, now let's see Alyx ported to PS5!
Now THIS would sell me a PSVR2! My laptop is too weak to do VR properly, and the PSVR2 won't change that. But if Alyx would be to land on my PS5, well...
We need support for psvr 1 games
I don't have a PC but I hope this will give Sony hope to release exclusive games on PlayStation 5
Sony announced that they're not going to develop or even publish any exclusive PSVR2 titles from now on.
If they want this to succeed on PS5, they need to bring the big VR games to it.
But I think the fact that Sony is actually giving support to PC, means that this isn't going to happen.
Oh really, I haven't seen anything like that@@WardenOfTerra
@@WardenOfTerra They have never said that

Imagine simply being able to import Steam games onto your PS5 💭
THATS what I want tbh.
When the ps6 comes out I bet mfs will have Linux running on ps5 through mods. So that maybe possible
The adapter is not needed if you already have a GPU that supports VirtualLink, Like the RTX 2060, 2070, 2080 and 2080 TI.
so can I finally watch films in 3D sony!?!?!??
No
WE WANT PSVR1 RETROCOMPATIBILITY ❗❗❗
Or, at least, Astro Bot Rescue Mission Retrocompatibility
What would recoup the development cost?
Why no HDR... ? Why no Eye Tracking ? Those 2 technology are available on PC.
Because there are no games that support it
@@DreamingImDreaming I've seen some people say Vrchat supports eye tracking it may be modded tho
@@Flomockia eye tracking can def be useful, especially with foveated rendering, but hdr is kinda pointless. Guess we’ll just have to hope and wait for modders
Because those things have to be supported by the game specifically. And since there hasn't been many HDR eye tracked PC headsets, no PC VR game supports those features
Maybe modding can fix some of that though.
Does any PC VR game support those features?
@@TheMeanArena HDR is a complicated issue.
The Vive has an Eye Tracking add-on.
I think PSVR2 is the only headset I know of that has vibration.
And the controller's adaptive triggers is also a Sony thing as far as I know, I don't think anyone else does it.
So yeah those features are not common / standard for PC VR
**OK Sony, now you made me to sell my Quest Pro to buy PSVR 2** Thank you for your service.
Was it that hard?! Finally!
Soooo you need a pc adapter? The link mentioned does not sell it
Where do you buy it? This is so confusing
Sold out everywhere
If you have a USB-C DisplayPort Port on your Graphics Card you don’t actually need the adapter
@@brandon_nope It sounds like specific graphics cards will support it without the adapter, but it's the GeForce RTX 20 series that had this feature. I might just try my 3070 TI anyway now that the PlayStation app is open on Steam.

Within 1 hour scalpers took over your product. This is bad...

Very cool, Sony. Now here me out... How about Horizon VR, RE Village VR and RE4 VR on Steam? Just a thought.
Buying a gaming PC with the specs to run decent VR titles through this would cost me more than my PS5 originally cost me.
So what use is this to PS5 owners who opted for PSVR2 as their entry point to VR, due to them solely being console owners? You're gonna use revenue from this towards more native PS5 ports, right? Right?
PSVR2 sales were extremely poor including vr games. Making it compatible with PC is a cheap way to get some money, investing that on another PSVR2 game doesn't make sense when they know it won't turn a profit.
You guys probably shouldn't put out a trailer for this, considering no one was able to buy it on launch day.
