Could you do some more of these types of stealth camping over the quieter winter period, i love these little supermarket camping trips you do. You could try ASDA next time in your new van build that would be so epic :)
Covering a number plate while on a public highway is going to be very hard to explain to someone if stopped and asked why. where removing a number place can be easily answered with (Sorry it most have fallen off while driving, I will get a replacement asap) most supermarket cameras face outwards of the carpark so just removing the front one going in and the rear leaving should be enough then just park up and screw it back on :) That's what I would do.
Great video mate, great to see the side when things go wrong at the wrong time as well so it's not always happy camping...Buxton is great mate but i agree the HAIR Ahhhhhhhhh would do my head in as well.
when i changed to a bigger boat for head room made a world of difference, getting a tv and tablet instead of using a phone made the world of difference:). Your get there but also you will enjoy it a lot more.
Try a silicon baking mat (instead of the towel) easy to clean and can be use to put muddy shoes or any hot thing after cooking). Ps. Tesco chocolate croissants better than Pain au chocolat.

You have beautiful places in the UK and Europe too, don't know why you'd need to go to the US or why you'd say there's no comparison. I think there's a lot more stuff to see in Europe. You're sleeping in car parks with bad views because that's what you choose to do, while Mav often goes to more remote and isolated places. If you want to have beautiful views in nature then just go to them.
Everyone has this though, we look at the US as somewhere that gives a sense of adventure, and by the looks of things you do the same with the UK and Europe. Its a funny old world lmao
2 observations you should park your car with bonnet forward in case you need to make quick escape. Also get compass so van is in line east for sun to hit

Stealth camping:- sound alarm, attract police, attract attention by covering plates, park in main entrance/exit just by where security guard leaves, door open, lights on as you cook, car stinking of soy sauce🤭😂 Let's be honest, I doubt that guard even noticed his bus pull up at the stop! 😂😂😂
Hi, here in California a lot of people are living in there cars now. I see large groups of old campers and make shift campervans and cars used as housing. The thing is the county asked them to pay a small fee and they set up a porta potty and orange cones and a health clinic in a large bus to help them. There is also a city bus stop near by. Now what is interesting about that is we have a motorhome camp ground at the beach run by the state park rangers and it use to be were the homeless stayed back in the 80's. My sisters friend lived out there and the school bus drove out there to bring here to school every day. Today it is a very popular place for vacationers all year round with bathrooms and trash. So I imagine some of these new homeless camps are future state parks in the making. It kind of awesome really.

The US Food and Drug Administration has approved PET for single and repeated use, so that's a good sign. ... Two things can happen as you reuse plastic bottles over and over: They can leach chemicals, and bacteria can grow in them." Noticed a funny taste when I used to use one-use water bottles multiple times. cheers

They are pronounced (gee-o-za) soft g, gyoza. Odd that you did not cook them. Normally you brown one side crispy. Weird things do happen in the USA. We were camping in Arkansas and something non-human shook our camper violently then left. Later there was a loud roar off in the distance. In the morning we got out and looked around there was a huge log over12 inches wide and 10ft long by the vehicle that was not there before. We don't know what it was and we did not stay.

OK the machine the water has come from has never been cleaned but the water will come from a mains feed so is fine to drink.

You should go camp in one of the carparks on Epsom downs. Some lovely views up there.
Have you ever considered " slumming it " and stealth camping at Aldi or Lidl ?
His ford galaxy would turn into a ford 'chocolate solar system' overnight
you could get a blackout shade for the front windshield that n might make things a bit more roomy. I enjoy your drone views of the surroundings

We are not able to go far at present, as we are still in lockdown. I am sure Will soon will be going further afield.
