Found ya !! I remembered this scene from watching this movie back in late 1980's. I love this scene. A reflection of the military might of modern China today. Never fuck with China again!! 👊👊💪💪💪😎😎😎 Thanks for the upload 👍👍👍
but it's Chow Yun Fat's real voice and it's awesome, he kinda does a Tony Montana accent, it's perfection. I wish Hollywood producers didn't just try and make Chow repeat his Hong Kong classics because he's a FANTASTIC comedy actor, he could've made so many great movies.
@@tmplblck that explains why alot of the mainstream Chinese movies from 80s and early 90s, sounded kinda dubbed even tho they are speaking actual Cantonese and it's the actors actual voices. This thing has always bugged me, but now it makes sense
@astergav86 Another thing, he did his lines phonetically, he didn't speak English at the time. I think he did a fantastic job, especially considering that.
The cop was the icing on the cake for this whole scene...because based on the look on his face when he saw what was going on, clearly this is not the first time this has happened at the restaurant! LOL!
It's only obvious. The first one is really deep and meaningful. About an older brother who was deeply involved in the crime life but wants to change his life for his father and his brother.
@@Cyan_Nightingale It's true. You almost have to separate it. The thing is, I think this scene and the action scenes are good enough on their own to justify watching ABT2. But I do almost have to pretend it doesn't exist when watching ABT1. It's very transparent about what it is in a way that basically puts it in a different genre.
One of the greatest scenes in fried rice history...
It's amazing how much more often I've thought about this scene and smiled to myself these past few years
I think of this quote all the time: "rice just like my mother and father. don'f f with my family!" words to live by
Same, it’s so over the top and the English dialogue is absolute shit. And I love it for that!
"Apologize to the rice right now!!!!"
Core memory unlocked
“Oh yeah, he needs some money. I got a quarter.”
1:54 That Chow Yun Fat laugh tells you shits about to go down.

Damn, I want some fried rice right now!!!
If you feel hungry, you come to my restaurant any time. No problem! 🍚

3:24 He say is illegal but he shoot him 🤣
this dub is incredible
Chinese productions typically didn’t record dialogue on set since movies would have to be dubbed and subbed in different dialects anyway.

i can relate….i have had terrible fried rice in my lifetime

Fun fact: the reason the dubbing sounds kinda shit is because chow Yun fat dubbed his own lines which makes it more better
so this is what kendrick was up to at new ho king
Uncle Roger needs to review this scene
THIS FUCKING FRIED RICE!!

This power of Engrish.
The acting in this scene is great but the dubbing is so hilariously bad it takes away from it.
but in a good way
I think it adds to the scene lmao
It's Chow's real voice, he was one of the few HK actors who dubbed his own voice for the Cantonese prints.
Fried rice is from Indonesia
Chow yun fat 👍🙏❤️ eat the rice Donald Trump 👍

John Woo didn’t even want to make it, but supposedly his ex-friend Tsui Hark talked him into it. It’s why they’re ex-friends.
