Eddie´s smile was always contagious. You couldn´t avoid to have fun in a VH concert. Only saw them once in their first stage with Roth, but I must admit that Hagar´s era was huge and the songs were great!

I took my 16 year old brother to the concert at Boston Garden 3 days before this one. Also took him to Twisted Sister and Iron Maiden that summer. Glad I did, he had heart issues since birth but was a tough bastard. (Goalie and boxer) Agonisingly , he was dead 6 months later, so I always remember this concert very fondly
Ted Templeman, who produced many of Van Halen's releases (some with DLR) along with Sammy Hagar solos, Montrosse, Aerosmith, the Doobie Bros etc, , said Sammy Hagar is the best rock singer on the planet during an April 2020 interview. Sammy is not underrated as a vocalist. He is considered by legends in the industry to be one of the best ever. This iteration of VH had two of the best ever at their craft in Eddie and Sammy.
Eddie always had such a good time when he was jamming. And such a touch on that rhythm guitar. And Mikes vocals! Eddie was no slouch on the harmonies either.
What an incredible guitar/vocal dual. Sammy might have been his best vocally right here, right now. His pipes and on FIRE and of course Eddie is just Eddie and ALWAYS ON FIRE. Great tune and great intro to the Sammy era.

I saw VH in 1992 in San Diego right after the LA riots. Sammy’s Give to Live song was especially epic given the current times. I’m grateful that I can say I witnessed Mozart on the guitar that night. A force that will not be seen again in my lifetime.
At this moment in time there was no bigger band then Van Halen. Hagar has the best debut ever and this is one of the greatest live VH performances ever.

I was 12 and was suppose to go to this for my first concert. My brother was 16 and my parents just couldn't let it happen lol. Few years later though my brother scalped front row tickets so no complaints.
What a great f'in time. I smiled through that entire video. I was 12 when Best of Both Worlds hit the shelves and I was still on the high from 1984... needless to say it took a few listens for me to really get in to the album but once it hit it was like magic. I'm one of the few that cherish both (or all three?) eras of VH, if a person picks one or the other they're missing out. Best of Both Worlds was a great song at the perfect time. :)
