      You sir are correct i just picked up a well kept 07 with 109k for 16500 its basically fbo minus long tubes. It has a 2.6 pulley, twin 65 tbody, jlt 123 cold air, offroad hpipe and borla stingers i was told it was dyno tuned to 550 rwhp but this car in the video made 563 with a stock exhaust so it may actually do more idk i know it runs like a raped ape lol.

      @@staceyhauck4200 no i just picked it up couple days ago i gotta get a couple mods on her before i wanna try to run it at the drag strip whenever they open that is. Car needs a heat exchanger, 1 piece driveshaft and a drag pack before i hit the strip. You dont need that stuff per sey id rather have it on the car before running it though. Based on what others have done it should be deep in the 11s at above 120 somewhere just depends on da and track prep and traction etc.

    It’s a shame you’re not closer, I live in Florida, I have a 2009 G8 GT that’s in need of a DOD, and an exhaust.

    I have all the exact same mods except I have a 2.65 pulley. Could I put the 2.5 on without having to get another tune....... actually I don't have the throttle body but I do have a full exhaust

    I have a 08 gt500 with a 2.6 pulley and jlt intake. I was wondering how much the tb is worth with the stock Eaton.

      A throttle body will def pick up power on a stock blower. Most say its 15-20 rwhp depending on other mods and which one you go with some of the monoblades may be even higher than that. On a car that is pullied and tuned making 550+ the throttle body is def worth it as its shown to be a restriction beyond 550 wheel

    I have a 2012 gt500 I’m considering a pulley swap as well as a cai should I upgrade the heat exchanger or will the stock piece be sufficient?

    • @BrenspeedEngineering
      @BrenspeedEngineering  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stock is fine for that but anything bigger on cooling is always better. The cooler everything is the more power you will make even stock. So no you do not have to do it, but upgrading heat exchanger and even radiator will make more power in the long run as temps increase.

    Shouldn’t you first mod on these cars be beefing up the charge air cooling system? Well I guess that’s if you care about replacing a hand built 5.4 from ford…. Or being forced into a custom build.

    The heat soak on these after 1 good pull with these simple mods is terrible. Feels like you lose 150hp on the next pull.

      A nice upgraded heat exchanger will help that alot of.. I don't think our 07-12 gt500 even have heat exchanger fans and they are only single pass
