Skull Fist is a band that I discovered recently. I must say, I’m disappointed that I didn’t get into them sooner. But better late than never. Love all their albums and their ep.
Agreed. I've actually got an old blood-soaked wrestling program (Bret's blood) from his Stampede days vs. Stomper Gouldie, chain match. Bret always wore a Maiden or Ozzy etc. shirt in-between matches. Cool guy.
Totally agree with the list! The band is one of the best modern bands and one I've listened to the most in recent years. I'll do my best to see them next year, as they're going to play in Brazil.
Discovered Skull Fist and other band great Trad bands like Enforcer and White Wizzard through your channel. Many thanks. Do you like Visigoth? Similar style and another that I love
I checked out Ride the Beast from Head of the Pack last week based on your recommendation and I really enjoyed it, this ranking came at a perfect time because I was just getting ready to dig into their discography. Great video!
Bryce I heard you mention them on the Hudson Valley Squares the other night as your underrated band. Based on what you said I had to check them out. After listing to some of thier music not only do they have the 80's metal sound like 80's Iron Maiden and others the music itself is great. Especially the guitar riffs, solos and even Zach's vocals. Just ordered a copy of chasing the dream from amazon. Will be getting more of thier albums as they are right up my alley. Underrated for sure and how they are not bigger is beyond me.
I discovered them in 2012 as a 13-year-old while exploring a rabbit hole of classic, somewhat obscure metal. I'm not gonna lie, when listening to Heavier Than Metal, I wouldn't have known they were a newer band if the description for that song didn't tell me. I even had a small phase where I would listen to bands like them, Stallion, White Wizzard, etc. They're awesome.
Skull Fist rules. Totally with you as they are my favourite "new" band as well. Being from Toronto also helps given its close to where Im from. Also agree with the rankings. Keep up the great work and congrats on joining the SOT family.
SkullFist is such a kickass band. Every album they have released is a solid 10/10 masterpiece. Also didnt know that about Zach Slaughter's voice, but yeah it's a night and day difference. Before he sounded like an anime girl getting kicked in the balls, now he sounds like Rob Halford. Are you a fan of other new old school metal bands like Haunt?
I get why people and the band itself don't like Way Of The Road that much - but for me it's this way: 1. Chasing The Dream 2. Way Of The Road 3. Head Öf The Pack 4. Heavier Than Metal 5. Paid In Full (still awesome though) Stay strong brother and metal on from Germany ✊
Saw them at a small " unopened" bar here in sydney Cape Breton with about 40 other ppl a cpl years ago and it was one of the best live shows I've ever soon.instantly one of my favs.. that show is now a thing of legend GET FISTED
Discovered this band last april during university exams. Their music helped me keep my head up during the stress

I had never heard of this band . Recently I bought the Paid in full album. Fantastic stuff!! Great band
Love the Bret Hart shirt. Big wrestling fan here, especially what I consider the classic period of the mid 80's through the mid 2000's.

More homework. I’ll look into these guys. Keep it up BRYCE 👍💯

Awesome! And yes they’re cool!

I bought chasing the dream a year ago or so - because of your recommendation ❤
‘Chasing the Dream’ is amazing, and I would’ve never known about it without you. Thanks!

Awesome, glad you like them!
Saw these guys live a couple of years back, on a bill with other new classic metal bands and they really blew me away! Great energy from those guys!
Nice video Bryce! I’ll need to check em out!
Hi Bryce, I got the e.p. Heavier Than Metal a while back on you recommendation and like it a lot. Another great ranking, thanks bro 😃🤘

I've been listening to these guys for a few years now, excellent modern metal, they are up there with elm street & striker to me!
Thanks for introducing me to them!
I love 'em btw
Hey Bryce I have a question
Are you gonna review Ozzy Osbornes new album patient number 9
If you like a modern band with an 80s metal sound listen to Venator. Great song writers and Johannes Huemer's vocals are off the charts.
I know them, pretty good
@@brycetalksmetal you Know Nestor too? More on the AOR side then Hard Edged Metal but pretty good too
Can you rank Overkill albums?
One of my absolute favourites 🤘
Taking Over! Is Overkill best album!!!
For me it’s either Taking Over or Feel the Fire. I think Overkill is one of the most consistent bands out there.
Overkill gets way too overlooked
1. Chasing the Dream
2. Head of the Pack
3. Paid in Full
4. Heavier than Metal
5. Way of the Road

Skull Fist is very good.😄👍
Chasing the dream is a real standout. I love the title track, your gonna pay, sign of the warrior, and of course bad for good.
No falsies can watch this video
Nice shirt Bryce. Didn't know that you are a wrestling fan.

Need to check this band out. Good video buddy
i been a fan since the ep have the new lp coming great band
In terms of old bands they sound like i like your picks but they sound a lot more like racer X and keel than anything iron maiden did
I really liked my first listen to them but the vocals really make or break music for me and I just didn’t like their voice
Go listen to Venator.. Huemer's vocals are incredible
Ok. BRYCE: got my homework I’ll check these guys out. Keep it up Great job 👍💯

I must recommend Skull Fist's friends from here in Nova Scotia called Black Moor. Great modern metal in the same vein.checkem on spotify
