- Don was a riot. He's the host and salesman I met at Boardwalk Chevrolet in Redwood City, CA. I drove the Suzuki Hayabusa up there from Santa Cruz to check out their amazing inventory of 2017 Corvettes. It is truly astounding! Z06, Stingray, and Grand Sport models abound in all colors and configurations. We talk about the amazing Grand Sport, my preferred model versus the competition. Don tells us some fun stories and we laugh about how has to move a whole warehouse full of Vettes to get just one out. We learn a 21 yr old bought his own Z06 with his own money. I contemplate if I would ever get enough use out of this amazing car. A not to be missed TNP car enthusiast video.

We take a fun trip to CA to Boardwalk Chevrolet to check out the Corvette Grand Sport. An ideal and very capable sports/track car, the Grand Sport is my favorite model of Vette. Check out Boardwalk's warehouse full of Vette's while we're there. Holy cow! Will I get one? Hmmmm, we'll see but it's iffy. Gran sport is better track car than Z06. Z06 is about reminding you that you're still alive by coming closer to death.

Don is a great guy. Experience, listens, honest, has positive feedback, no attitude. The kind of car salesman people can actually take a liking to. Car dealerships need to clone him.

I'd rather have a SCAR 17s, a top-of-the-line laptop or tablet, a new video card, a 4K disc player, a new home theater setup, more cases of Clearly Canadian, a new jacket, etc. before a frickin Corvette but to each his own. If it makes ya happy, DO EET big ol nutn. But I whole heartedly agree with someone else that said "don't name it something like Killer." Name it Boom, Slayer, or Plugger.

No nutnfancy don't go into debt for it. Fund TNP for backpacking, guns, cooking vids, etc. Do what you did with the 350z if you do buy a fast car, pay cash and upgrade it worthy of TNP.

Corvettes....awesome cars! My dad has a 06 Z06 since two years back now and just wow...Truly in love with that car! Always liked Corvettes but after driving one I love em even more! The goal is to get a Corvette of my own eventually :)
I would get a Z06 not only is it more badass and faster (can keep it in street mode for your pos and there is always factory warranty if anything were to mess up) but for the price you can bring the price of the Z06 down for the same price as a grand sport and chances are the Z06 retain its resale value a little more.

Nutn is on point. Dollar for dollar as a blood born racer myself, in my opinion nothing beats a Corvette for the American consumer.

Besides the Daytona Prototype class where "Nissan Racing" powered vehicles took 3rd 4th and 5th respectively. Among my favorite class which is the GTLM series. Nissan doesn't have a car in this series. Also taking into consideration price/weight/AWD to RWD? They're close enough in POU. Especially, if you're just going to get the 8 speed. Which, if that's the case, just get a GTR. Most people will be faster and happier in a GTR. Particularly if you're tired of 52 years you've spent shifting.

I was 19 in 1993 and worked at a car dealership. We had a ZR1 (look it up). Lets just say that taking it out of the showroom was pretty awesome (and loud, and smoky...even the boss would not scream at us when we lit it up...he knew...)

Nutn i like the corvette vid but this is a guntube channel so the only way im watching another corvette "tabletop review" is if you strap a 50 cal to the back of it and take it to the desert also it needs to be compleatly FDE inside and out

He's said multiple times that it's not a gun only channel. He documents his adventures that he takes and also does reviews on many things some of which are guns. If you don't like it suck it up it's his channel not yours

It's not my place to tell him what to do. IMO it's a waste that could go so much further elsewhere. How cool would it be if he did like a week long or more wilderness trip through Alaska or South America running his best systems. Not just a gear test but a systems test with some goal or trek in mind. I see the cool of the car though but there is better ideas.
I had a '68 427/390 4 speed. it was white with black leather interior. I owned it for 29 years. Restored it to stock. it was a beauty and it was a rocket. Had to sell it back in 2012. If I had the money today, I'd buy a 2017 red Grand sport with red interior. What a awesome car. Thanks for the video!!!

A few years ago, I was driving down the interstate and was passed by a black Z06 with a licence plate that read........MINE. I would go with either a yellow GS, or a silver Stingray. Don seemed like a great guy.

Its such a great car. For what your getting and is a vette you cant go wrong. all said and done i walked off the lot 63k with upgraded performance package and 8 speed after discounts. Tough to beat and it's absolutely stunning to look at and total blast to let rip

I'm that guy who buys the Black Rose Metallic C7 GS. Seven speed, full aero package, including a Z06 wicker bill from a buddy at a GM dealer. You should see it outside. Garage lighting doesn't do that color justice.

I have a 99 c5 vert. All black. Twin Rick Squire turbos. 480 hp at the wheels. Pretty sweet.
Great video. I drove a white stingray for the weekend a few months ago and have been thinking about how to afford buying one.
All I know is at a track day I went to an 04 zo6 with aftermarket leaf springs, bilstein shocks, slicks, intake headers and exhaust with a tune, was passing everything. It passed very modified r35 GTRs, Porsche gt3 and gt3 rs, and a full race BMW m3 (as in race car, not streetable.) It was awesome I talked to the guy for a while. When I can get a corvette, I will. And it will be red and have a manual trans, other than that, I won't be picky.

Nutn, I have a 2014 2LT 7 speed and I love it. I have owned German sports cars forever, and haven't owned an American car in over 25 years. I test drove the C7 and fell in love. I would upgrade to the Grand Sport but currently have other priorities. Defiantly go for it!!!

To each his own! ;) On another note I have been wacthing several reviewers mis-lableing assault rifles and battle rifles. It seems as though manufacturers will call one for the other to get that second type of cool. Your pou discussions are right on point. Maybe you could do a video on different types of rifles and their purposes to educate the masses. Ex.: What is the difference between a battle rifle and an assault rifle? Can a DMR be both? etc. Your voice is appreciated across the net. Thank you for your hard work.
I have a 2015 Z51 Laguna Blue coupe.I've owned 5 corvettes in my life and that Z51 2015 is hands down the fastest one I've ever driven. You won't go wrong with buying one

I will always advocate for buying a Corvette. I'd suggest getting one with the tap shift gear box as it's faster to go through the gears with that on the Corvettes these days than the manual stick shift. I'd get the Grand Sport in Blue with a Black interior with the tap shift automatic.
