- The artists were visibly enjoying the atmosphere in the Altice Arena during the Grand Final. We went to the green room to capture their first reaction after their performances.

Seeing Estonia cheering along for Denmark and dancing along with Israel really made me feel the love between the countries at Eurovision. And then seeing Lea headbanging along with AWS.... seeing an EDM singer jamming out to metal and then seeing the Danish Vikings headbanging along.... This is support for something different and unique coming to Eurovision. Actually seeing Lea and her dancers headbanging actually brought a tear to my eye. Because transcending musical genres and just appreciating music in general, a beautiful moment. Seeing the opera singer dancing along to club music... amazing. So much mutual respect.

This years final was so great. Even if you didn’t like the winner there were so many great songs and the voting was so exciting. Can’t wait for next year! 😁

Harry Potter Countries that have EBU membership can participate, thus countries like Israel and Azerbaijan having not only partaken in Eurovision, but actually won it as well. Technically, Australia is still only in the contest on an invitation basis. Back in 2015 when Australia first appeared, Eurovision was celebrating its 60 year anniversary. As a way to celebrate and thank Australia for the years it has been religiously watching the show despite the late hour it airs at, they invited them to perform. Ever since then, if the host country wishes to invite them, they can then take part in the contest. Their case is special - if Australia wins, they will only get to choose which country will host the contest, it will not be held in Australia.
China and the USA could also, at some point, be invited to participate as a guest - after all, Justin Timberlake did perform as a symbol to mark the year when the USA began airing Eurovision as well. China’s chances are low because EBU has sanctioned them for censoring Ireland’s performance and others whose performers had tattoos.

Who knew that Elina from Estonia is the soul of the party......she was the one dancing the most and like crazy in every video from the green room backstage....and she seems to know every f**** song.....simply love her and her song!!!
it is a tiny amount to know by heart compared to her actual work. My dad has just been in opera choir, some backup, and they have to learn so so much (in god knows what foreign language too, it is not just italian french and german). The opera stars have like SUCH long arias, a whole 3 hours of them. Eurovision songs? that´s like vacation.
And we got to see what her "chameleon dress" (as I call it) looks like when she's not on stage!

For all of those who feel empty and depressed because Eurovision 2018 is over.
You are wrong! Eurovision is a feeling that never is over, every moment we are feeling it, all the songs and all the performances are always alive in our minds inside of us and it is impossible to understand how it feels without living it. Don't believe those who say that Eurovision is just a "contest" they can't understand that Eurovision is everything!!!
And i should say: THANK YOU to Eurovision for make this and thank you to all countries who participate because this is being awesome during EVERY SECOND IN MY LIFE!!!

the juries clearly didnt understand what the public wanted - melovin was top ten televotes but the bottom of the juries! theres clearly a disconnect there.
In the semi-final all juries put Melovin on the 4th place. How is possible to put him on the 26th in the final?! Obviously I don't pretend high place, but the last one??? So in the semi they decided he deserves top10, what has changed later?

I get that she probably wasn't up for speaking after her performance but you didn't catch her later on? Pfff. How dare you leave out our absolute queen? I am disgusted.
can't you see from the whole channel that they're trying to cover up that it even happened, you can't watch the livestream (which, as an Aussie with an undesirable time zone I'm annoyed about) and the 'live at the grand final performance' isn't the one from the grand final, soooo, not hard to put 2 and 2 together
I know, that's what's disturbing. Just because of their shocking security. It's disgraceful how they failed to acknowledge what happened or even speak to SuRie to see how she was.
Honestly, I think you're seeing it the wrong way... The security at the event was super tight, so they're not the ones to blame about what happened. There's only one person to blame and that's the guy that stepped up that stage! I don't know what you've been reading about the situation in the UK, but apparently he's known for doing this in major events over there. So, you can't blame the organisation and security, because in the 2 weeks of Eurovision daily events in Lisbon there wasn't one single problem except for this one.
However, I have to agree that they should upload the right video of Surie's final performance (with her consent, of course).
I also must add that there's been an extensive coverage (and not a hidding) of what happened by RTP, the Portuguese broadcaster in charge of this ESC, and they've been pretty straight forward and open about what happened.

they had a really good entry but there were very few bad performances and off key voices this year so they probably just didnt stand out enough.
