Even if Käärijä would've gotten the theoretical maximum of 432 public votes he still would've ended up _one point_ short of Sweden's 583. The jury gave Loreen an unbeatable lead.

Kaarija got 376 points from the public. That is 60 more than MANESKIN. The maximum possible score was 456 points. And he still lost thanks to jury votes.

It's a bit weird how Albania was 10th with only 59 points. But that's probably bc there were not many countries in eurovision this year and Finland, Sweden and Norway got so many points
It has never happened that the audience shouted the name and title of another artist's song so much while the winner was announced. The only real winner here is Kaarija, the winner of our hearts. ❤

Watching Käärijä's reaction was heartbreaking, he is the true winner with the most public votes EVER (excluding Ukraine last year which was great but got many votes because of solidarity too)! So grateful to meet Käärijä and the dancers, the public decides for someone's career and he's the most loved 💚 A great career is ahead!
Norway and Portugal received more points from the public in 2009 and 2017.
@@erickalonsochaconmata9683 Norway got more points but back then it was televote + jury, so he didn't get more televotes. In 2017 there were more participating countries so compared to the maximum Finland's score this year was higher.

@@erickalonsochaconmata9683 not quite, in 2017 there were more countries voting so Portugal's score is relatively less though the exact number of points is the same. In 2009 Norway got 387 points in total, that is tele and jury combined (it was 50/50 and each country gave only one 12 points).

The fact that Sweden received 12 points from 15 countries and Finland only from 2 shows how unfair the jury is. It's been like this for years. Remember when Poland received 222 points from the public and 7 points from the jury (2016).

Similar goes for Croatia, people from over the world rated them nr.7, but totally ignored by jury, obviously something is wrong..cause all this show is for the people - milions who listen and watch prefered performances in full, not for the “musical” jury..

The public votes also placed Poland third and Estonia barely qualified at tenth place in the second semi where only the televotes are counted. This speaks enough for itself.

Seems like y'all don't know how juries work. Basically the juries for the final vote on a show that's held on Friday the evening before the real show. There alessandra had a quite bad performance which ofcourse results in a bad jury score

Loreen did a great job, we can't deny that. However, the jury needs to stop manipulating the scores. Not only did they elevate Sweden so high that it was impossible to defeat them even with the maximum number of viewer votes, but they also intentionally underrated some countries, such as Norway and Ukraine, knowing that they would receive a lot of televotes.

yes. The juries underrate songs to offset public vote, the public overrates songs to offset jury vote. In several years this will be a total mess

The Finnish guy literally has poor vocals and the Norwegian girl failed miserably at the jury show
Televote points can be easily manipulated too, some one who has a lot of money can just buy a bunch of sim cards and vote a couple of times for a country they like. A person can vote up to 10 times. It does not represent the actually opinion of general public who some of them do not want to spend money on voting for a song they like. Sweden and Finland both are good songs, acc to views in all platforms Sweden has more views. So we can clearly see that the televote was rigged. Juries gave the trophy to the country that actually deserved it. Juries were the voice of the public who did not pick up their phones to spend money and vote for a song. Liking a song doesn't mean spending money on it. Jurors are general public too, so take that into account. That is why Loreen deserved that victory more than anyone else.
I’m kind of mad at the jury. Norway deserved to get way more points from them. I love that the audience gave her more than twohundred points.

The Italian and Swedish preselections were inspirations for the concept of the contest and their entries mostly have high quality standards. It's understandable they get lots of jury points from a professional perspective. On the other hand there are countries that vote for each other every single year just for being friends or getting lots of points due to diaspora, and often borrow professionals from Sweden for writing their songs, composing, cheoreographies and stagings to increase their chances to win. Imo it's not fair to blame them just for getting recognition for being professionals.

Sweden always sends a song of the same style and not the culprits, because Swedish artists are really talented, but they always receive a lot of points. And Italy, can send many different types of music which always has a lot of points, now Germany sends different things every year and is always down!

Loreen is the rightful winner for me. As for Finland; it was paying, whoever wanted to put in the most money won the televote. An example: buddies of mine are all for Loreen but they don't want to give their money to it, those are people who didn't vote in the televote. The televote says something, but not everything. If that televote was free, all my buddies would have been voting for Loreen too.

The jury wanted an ABBA 50th anniversary celebration in Sweden. It's so obvious in how many countries gave full 12 points to Sweden in an effort to give them an unbeatable lead and succeed they did. I'm not mad that Sweden won, but I'm mad that they won with Loreen singing basically the same song as before, when there were so many more unique and inspiring performances this year to choose from. No way that song deserved so many top spots in the jury vote.
My thoughts exactly! There were so many other countries that deserved more points, so this feel just... wrong and prearranged. A handful of people decided the winner, but she's not my winner.
There’s no evidence to prove it. I don’t like the jury either but it’s just the system they have and they follow it. There is no ground to support that theory except for it being “convenient” for Sweden to host next year with the ABBA anniversary.

Must be nice being from Sweden, Italy or Israel, these countries get an automatic top5 from the jury no matter what they bring each year
That's just not true. Most of the time they send a song meeting most jury qualifications but they failed also a lot of times.

Finland deserved to win... got over 350 votes from public, it's sad the jury votes count so much for the final ranking. After jury votes, the votes should be cut by 50% and then they would start to give the televoting / public votes. Would be much better than this huge cap between Sweeden and everyone else...

I don't agree, on the contrary, I find that the jury voted rather well.... because there were in the top 10 artists like Alika for Estonia who was very classy on stage, with a voice and a pretty song. Same for Spain which was literally destroyed by the public. Especially when we see that the public is voting for Croatia, we can ask ourselves questions. The jury often rewards real artists of real music so they must not disappear..... they are clearly useful even if it's true I might not have placed Sweden in number 1 this year! !!!!

I really liked Loreen's euphoria in 2012 but tattoo? I don't understand why it got so many points. For me the song is just boring and I think there were definitely some better ones. I really wanted Käärijä to win. CHA CHA CHA was my absolute favorite this year💚🇫🇮. I also can't understand why Serbia is so far behind. The song and the performance were so cool. He really deserved a better placement in my opinion. But I'm so happy that Norway and Israel got such good places. Their songs are amazing!

It still did better than the last two German entries combined, got more televotes than the last three German entries combined, and got more televotes than the UK and Spain combined.
Also, you got to go to the final, which is more than 11 other countries can say this year, two of each had epic vocals and haven't been in the final since 2016.

@@H3patitisB Alemania también ha quedado más o menos bien en años recientes. Ganaron en 2010, hicieron top 10 en 2011 y 2012 y quedaron cuartos en 2018. No quiere decir que sea absolutamente imposible para ellos (o para España, o para Reino Unido, o para Francia) salir del fondo.
El caso, y el problema aquí, es que a algunos países se les exige un esfuerzo más extraordinario, titánico y colosal para siquiera ser capaces de salir de las últimas posiciones mientras otros como Suecia, Italia, Ucrania o Noruega pueden permitirse hasta poner un retrete en el escenario y poner a alguien random allí a cagar (ni siquiera cantando o hablando o con música de fondo, solo cagando en completo silencio con los focos) y sabes que van a quedar top 5 o top 10 como poco de todas formas.
Por eso digo que es un festival clasista en el mismo momento en el que no todos los países parten en igualdad de condiciones. La misma canción de Alemania la lleva Noruega y queda séptima como poco, la misma canción que llevó Italia la lleva España y queda penúltima, la misma canción de Suecia la lleva Alemania y queda el 19 o el 20 como muy arriba...
