I screamed so hard when Slovenia was called. Then I realized my country wasn't even announced yet but damn Slovenia made my night.

Hardy Star I actually voted for Slovenia and Romania! (that is absolutely not a lie) I really really like the Romanian song and it is a shame that Europe thinks different. But this music genre is so amazing and it should be more represented in Eurovision ♥

World Portuguese Music I absolutely agree. Slovenia is now my number one. She has the whole package... Catchy song, great looking girls, great performance and great vocal. That is for the win. Ljubljana 2019.
Like it or not, Waylon was the only sole male singer that night who didn’t sing off-key from start to finish. He deserved to be in the Final.
My first reaction when Slovenia's song was first annouced was the ironic "Hvala, ne!". But I must say I am warming up to it. Her performance was the best of the night. Happy for Serbia and Hungary, sad for Malta.
I think this is going to be the best year yet, because even if the songs arent your taste the staging and/or vocals are all very impressive this year

4:31 , hated that moment. Waylon is definitely not getting the appriciation he deserves. He has got to be one of the best vocalists live. He completely nailed this one. Don't hate him for the category he sings in or the dancers that were with him. He didn't "rob" anyone. Yes it sucks for some countries, but it happened and you shouldnt blame another entry for it.
The dancers he used are his friends and you can see that on stage. I think you should be appreciating that Waylon gave them their time to dance and had fun with them while still delivering an awesome show. I love that he understands that the performance shouldnt always be about you with the song, but also the people around it. He took his screen time, hung out with the camera's and still had alot of fun with his guys.
Also, people should get that it may not be your style, but that doesnt mean it sucks.

It's random order of course ! He should have not made this comment.
Because Russia is normally an obvious qualifier due to its status, and you want the last announcement to be a surprise.
Like last semi, the suprise qualifier left last, and generally the best and the surprise are left for the last... anyway... i'm romanian and when they said first 7 countries, i was like... myeah, first time not going to final...
I guess the organizers would want to avoid the risk of ending the resuts with a booo from the crowd
although I think it's ridiculous that we have to worry about it and the people who were booing while Julia was being interviewed in the green room are disgusting
I'm so glad for Hungary but the song that impressed me the most was Serbia! and I did not like it at all before; but it was beautiful - I never thought I would say this.

schoumaldonado Well, he made his predictions based on wishful thinking by including Georgia and Malta. One of them could have slipped through, perhaps, but not both. So he was bound to be disappointed. I'm not sure who has the highest share of correct predictions over the years among the Wiwibloggs team, but I'm pretty sure by now it's not Deban 😉. He also was certain Georgia would qualify last year.
I did not dare to believe Slovenia would go through, but still voted for it thrice, and apparently that was enough.

Serbia staging was messy in places, yes, but a great song AND some fantastic shots actually - watch again. Danica's smile for example - and the closing image.

I haven't been so sure of qualification of Poland for years! And then... flop! Sorry to say but (as I know my country) times of power ballads are coming back again for the following years. But still the grand final will be great and I'm happy Waylon got through ;)

1. If y’all are so sad for Poland and Malta, you should have voted for them, don’t say they got robbed when the qualifiers are chosen by your votes.
2. Can someone please explain the hate for the Netherlands? I mean yes i think the staging is very chaotic and i don’t like it but people saying it’s basic? I mean do you have carrots in your ears? He is so real with his music and nobody seems to understand that?

Most of the bloggers are just journalist. They are not expert in music, but yet they have a strong influence to change people’s opinion about something or someone. If they dislike someone, they can use the media to break him/her. It is so subjective, dirty and unfair. Just because you dislike one music genre, song and the singer’s personality, doesn’t mean that you can not appreciate it and give a recognition it deserved.
No one is entirely safe anymore if the song is lacking. Still happy that I got 7/10 guesses through to the final.
I miss judged Serbia's chances despite liking the song a lot so I am happy about that one.
I like Waylon song but I didn't care at all for the staging he chose so that one has gone down majorly for me.
I never cared for Melovin either but I don't dislike it so I don't really care one way or another.

I'm saddened for Georgia, Montenegro and Latvia. They really had good songs and performances. Unlike Sweden, Benjamin's voice was off for over half of the time. But then, Slovenia!

MOOSE... I can express myself as often as I want. For the record, I have nothing against Georgia. In fact I have nothing against any country. Simply compared to others I did not score it high. It is a matter of taste more than anything else. I liked Malta, Latvia and Montenegro. Please do not take anything personally. Thanks.

Norway: I think Rybak is a brilliant musician, but please, the performance stayed even below my already low expectations. He doesn't deserve to be in the final, imo.
Romania: They did a good job, but in the end the song is still too boring to qualify.
Serbia: I'm surprised this got through. The dark haired girl's vocals weren't as good as at the national final.
San Marino: No surprises here. Jessika wasn't convincing tonight.
Denmark: The first song of the evening that made me say: "Yes, that was good". Well-deserved qualifier!
Russia: Lol. I actually thought this was pass :D She got a lot of applause, so I expect lots of televotes, but the juries (rightfully) degraded it, based on the horrible vocals. I guess she finished 11th or 12th.
Moldova: What a great staging :) Well done!
Netherlands: I'm still not a fan of his song, but he did a good job. Qualification came a little surprising to me, but I can see why people liked it.
Australia: WTF was going on in the first half of the song? Sooo bad vocals. Literally "Sea Of Flags 2.0"... But then she rocked it in the second half :)
Georgia: No surprises here. My mom immediately said that Georgia was always known for having good choirs, especially male ones, so she was really excited for this entry. But even she said that those guys in particular weren't that great...
Poland: Sorry Polish fans, but all of you who blame it on the juries and politics need to get a reality check. They simply weren't good. We've been telling you ever since the national final that the song is uncreative and that Lukas's vocals are weak. You promised us it was only because of the bad sound quality in Poland, but please... He effed up so many notes.
Malta: This entry tried too many things at once. It thought it was cooler than it is.
Hungary: Awesome
Hello from Poland. I absolutely agree with your statement about our song x) The vocals were weak, the song is uninteresting... and I'm actually happy to see it go, because there were much better entries.
This was a weak semi and I think Norway and Serbia deserved to qualify. Actually the top 10 deserves it because it was them who worked the hardest evidently. IMO all the songs were great, but you could draw a fine line between Good, meh and bad. Half the songs this semi were meh (Serbia and Norway included).
That’s why I think those who qualified deserved it.

True, I really liked Malta. Actually, it was one of a few I liked on this semi final. Kind of sad for Latvia though. Slovenia was the biggest surprise qualifier since bookies were really harsh towards Hvala. Still shocked Moldova is so popular. Like going back to the past and partying to these Russian pop singers like Jurij Shatunov or Fristail. So happy these days are over. Guess the West is a little bit late with their taste. Norway is still something surreal. It's 5th (before the semi - 2nd) according to the bookies. I guess being the winner of Eurovision in the past has its advantages.

Such a poor semi-final especially compared to Tuesday night. I found it hard to go beyond 7 songs that I wanted to qualify. There were at least 5 songs from Semi 1 that would have easily qualified if they had been in this semi-final.

I agree with all the qualifers... even Serbia because if we compare with other entries they actually were good:
Norway: I'm sorry I know that is Rybak and people expected a lot, but can we be honest? The song is not that bad, is actually enjoyable. People are just hating because they expected too much. For me it was a deserved qualifer;
Romenia: I like rock music... but I never really liked this song and lets be honest that mannequins really freak me out;
Serbia: I still don't like the song, I hated the performance and didn't want them to qualifer, but they were the least worst of the ones I hated the most so... congrats Serbia;
San Marino: I liked the robots... that's it;
Denmark: YES, YES, YES, ten times YES, great performance and stage. I was a little bit worried about him at first because his voice was cracking but he got his nerves right and made a great perfomance. For me it was a deserved qualifer;
Russia: OH MY GOD, what a disaster;
Moldova: I still don't like the song but they made a god job and in the end of the day, I will remember them. For me it was a deserved qualifer;
The Netherlands: It's not my cup of tea but I liked the performance so it was a deserved qualifer;
Australia: Another country that receives hate just because is Australia. Like I said about Norway, the song is not that bad. Her vocals were actually better that I tought it would be. For me it was a deserved qualifer;
Georgia: There were people singing or models? Because they almost didn't move. Even my mom didn't liked this... and she loves this kind of music;
Poland: Ugh, ok. I'm so sorry Poland but I have to say, it was a weird and forgettable entry. His voice was not good and the another guy's moves made want to slap him in the face;
Malta: I was one of the few people that really liked this song but Malta really messed up this. They wanted to make a lot with dark effects;
Hungary: I hate the song but in the end of the day they will be remembered so it was a deserved qualifer;
Latvia: Yeah, the perfomance seem a copy of "Love Injected". It didn't go well;
Sweden: I really like the song, but that stage and his moves, god damitt, I hate. Whatever, for me it was a deserved qualifer, but just for the song;
Montenegro: I don't even remember anything of the performance. I'm sorry?;
Slovenia: I never really liked the song, but damm she made such a good job that made me want her in the final. Congrats Slovenia, you slayed. For me it was a deserved qualifer;
Ukraine: Man, I have a feeling that MÉLOVIN won the semi... man he was great. For me it was a deserved qualifer.
I'm happy for Serbia and Slovenia. I was glad about Russia for not making it through and about Poland the vocals were off and a little bit boring so no surprises here.
