I bought a year ago a g-net for this game. No regrets. when playing it i was thinkings of ps1 MetalGearSolid graphism with high action BUT with two players mode! Nice video
Man I have to applaud you for covering these nearly obscure awesome arcade gems. I love learning about these and it's vital for game preservation. Glad I subbed to this channel.
This looks really cool and those bosses seem creative and fun. Chaos Break has been on my radar to check out for a while, but I may as well start with the original.
I actually grabbed Chaos break on PS1 a couple of years back as it was cheap, not checked it out yet but this looks great, if its anything like this it should be a fun time!
Yes, very Gunspike/Canon Spike vibe! I actually bought a boxed G-Net motherboard from a PCB shop when I was in Japan in 2006. I think it was about 20k yen, so pretty reasonable. I think I bought it for Night Raid (which I also found boxed), because I was very into shmups, at the time.
@@VideoGameEsoterica indeed it does 🙂 I do have a board that I bios updated. There's a fun arkanoid like game I can't remember the name but worth a go if you can find it. 🥂
Hmmm...Welp, it looks like VGE got me stumped on another title I haven't heard before. Sorry if I don't have much to say bro. But it does look fun to play for sure. 8^) Anthony..
I used to love Zombie Revenge on Dreamcast and this does remind me of that.
Def play it then if you liked Zombie Revenge

You are right now that I think about it. Def Metal Gear vibes

Glad you subbed too :) plenty more coming!

Yes start here. It's odd Chaos Break was a PS1 exclusive, but the first game that RAN on PS1 hardware...never got a port
I was able to snag a G-Net while they were cheap and have been planning on playing this. Definitely trying this out after the video.
Oh 100%. It’s IMO one of the best games on G-Net
Oh man the Metal Slug/Vendetta scream rears it's head again!
Haha sound libraries

It’s different but fun. This is the better of the two IMO
This is what I call a hidden gem. The game looks amazing. I'll check it out. Also the psx version. Thanks for sharing this
Yes this is 100% hidden gem status no questions

Good price. I’ll give you the same…ship it this way :)
@@VideoGameEsoterica Haha. I sold it to a collector long ago. I did pick up an unboxed motherboard years later to play ZOOO!
Hey a ZOOO fan. Games a sleeper
This looks shockingly good! What a shame that it never got a PS1 port.
Right! This would have been perfect for the home market
Chãos Break, the sequel, is very good survival-horror for PSX1.
Its odd this never got a port when the sequel was a PS1 exclusive
@@VideoGameEsoterica yah but the sequel was weird and odd in arcade machine.
Yes the sequel wouldn’t have made sense in an arcade machine but Chaos Heat at home on PS1 would have been great
Game play looks similar to Cannon Spike
And Zombie Revenge too. Bit of both except from Taito not Capcom or Sega
10 ON 10! awesome gem!
It really is just straight up legit awesome and more people need to play it!
Had no idea this one existed. Survival horror and brawler / blaster? Looks like the Reese’s of arcade games.
I don’t like Reese’s. Peanut butter belongs in savory dishes, not sweet. Feel free to unsubscribe
@@VideoGameEsoterica you’re stabbing old man Reese in hell I hope you realize that he can feel what you’re doing
It’s terrible candy. I said what I said
So cool!
It's a banger for sure
Looks cool. Gameplay wise looks pretty similar to zombie revenge. Never played or heard of this one
Lots of Zombie Revenge vibes for sure
I still have a gnet in my closet somewhere. No idea how this one managed to fly under my radar.
If you don’t need it I can give it a good home ;) lol
Yay! g-net
G-Net deserves more love

ZOOO is one of my favs

Anthony..
That’s what I’m here for. Introducing people to brand new games!
Since the Taito G-Net is like a beefier PSX, would this be possible on MiSTer?
Possibly. Unknown as of yet till someone really tries.
Does anyone know some arcade games that are similar to this? Sofar I have seen this and zombie revenge..
Hmm not too many. Nothing else pops into my head
Was this arcade board the same as a PS1. Would a port look the same ?
It’s a ZN-2 motherboard, which was mainly used by Konami. It’s an expanded spec of PS1.
So it can have extra ram. It doesn’t HAVE to have the extra though. It’s a bit game dependent. Plus it can use a Q sound chip vs PS1 sound
Wilhelm scream at 4:51
Always a classic scream
Looks very arcady
It is. In all the best ways
Stop I don't have enough time to keep adding games to the try out list!
Can’t stop won’t stop 🤣 gotta play em all
PS1 on arcades are cool, but not as cool as M2 :D
haha nothing will ever be as cool as M2. Well maybe MX/S42. We need to find those still
Wonderful !
