  • Let's go on a small photo walk with the Leica cl and the 35mm f1.4 nokton voigtlander lens and take some photos to see what we can find. Then we will do an expedient repair on the truck and get the heater sorted out so we ca drive it over the weekend. This photography adventure with my Leica camera is just one of many that I have done over the years in the Trenton GA community and wont be the last. Get out there and photograph the world around you with your camera even if it is not a Leica!

    I've been a pro photographer for almost a pro photographer for almost 25 years, a photo student for 3 and a hobby shooter for 5 years before that... (i started at 12)... and in 33 years I have never used, or even handled a Leica. Not for lack of wanting, just lack of convenient opportunity. Like the industrial abandoned buidling shots a lot.

      Good morning Daniel, I hear you loud and clear on that, I had not even seen one in person either until a close friend suggested I try one as he felt I was really the kind of person that would like using them. I sold some stuff off and picked up the CL. Since then I have owned 4 Leicas and still have 3 of them (R8, SL2 and the CL) The TL just didnt work for me and my style of shooting so I let it go. The rest I love and use...even the R8...lol. But they are costly to own and use, I have complained more than once about the SL2 battery cost, I am sure it is inflated just for no other reason than it is a Leica battery, but I am still using the SL2 for some reason. The internet made them available to me as I had no other way to find them before. Good point though, thank you for your time and thoughts!

    As the man said, if you can't find interesting things to shoot, shoot the things you do find in an interesting way :-)
    There is a strange attraction in just capturing light don't you think, especially with lenses like voigtlanders and vintage glass, irrespective of the subject.
    Nice vid again David. Best, Jacob

      Thank you Jacob, yes, it is a strange obsession for some reason, I find myself constantly searching for good light now (or maybe I should say "better" light) and that search is endless...

    Love your videos and know how. As much love as I have for your truck, it sure seems like she’s kind of needy these days. Good point about people in street photography.

    Firstly I'd like to say I i enjoyed this video, you have a great nature in front of the camera.
    Street photography IS documenting PEOPLE on the street. By definition you need to capture people of the immediate effects of people for it to be street photography. Going out and taking photos on the street is great, more people should practice in their home town but unless you are actively documenting the lifes of people it is not street photography, its taking photos in the street. That might seem pedantic but we have definitions for a reason.

      Fair, I should have prefaced it with it being my opinion. My bad. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and leave me a comment. You don’t know how much I really appreciate that.

    I really liked your comment (and someone's feedback) ; the mundane can be magical. Thanks to take us along on your leisurely walk and for your video! ❤ Have a nice week! Oh wait, I have a request; could you take out a FF Nikon lens on some next fotoshoot? I'm a fool for (Nikon) F gear (not the Z gear!)...

    Thank you for a episode of shade tree mechanic on how to bypass a leaking heater core. It pains me to see the deindustrialization of the United States we dont manufacture as much here anymore . I feel your documenting this is important as we need to invest in manufacturing to stay a major power on the world stage it such a shame those idiots in Congress have allowed this to happen.

    • @davidsaylors
      @davidsaylors  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It happened because of money, plain and simple. certain people got really rich by moving production out of this country...but I digress. Thank you for your time and I really appreciate your thoughts and now you know how to bypass a leaking heater in your dodge diesel powered truck!!! HAHA
