    David:
    Some nice pics. I too am amazed at times where my coordination, thumb arthritis & equipment are at odds with each other! Wandering around the Boston area at odd times, I also am aware of suspicion from the locals. I look forward to seeing more pics of small towns. KWB

      Sorry to hear about your arthritis, that is a terrible disease, my great grandmother was cripple with it completely... I would love to shoot in downtown Boston at some point... That would be awesome. I have more towns to visit so that is coming. Thank you Ken!

    Always a pleasure to watch your videos, sir. Inspirational too, got my camera ready and as soon as the battery is charged up I'm heading out. Thanks!

    Nice and very crispy shots! Regarding the Leica CL; well, one day I'll be out of production too... 🙂 Other than that I'm a stubborn ass and will stay with my Nikon F-mount. (...that has been out of production for many years now). Take care & thanks for your video! Peter

    I use my M lenses on my CL but frankly the native CL lenses esp the 23 (35eqiv) 35 (50equiv) and 60 macro (90equiv) are stella .Of those three the two made in Germany lenses ,35 and 60 are among the best lenses Leica make .

    • @davidsaylors

      I find the L lenses to be wonderful too. I only have had the 23mm but never used it much cause it wasn’t as tactile as the manual glass. Plus the 35mm APSC L mount is really big comparatively too this one.

    Excellent images David - thanks for sharing. I find it extremely interesting to see the local environment where people live. Your images are crisp and colorful with nice compositions.

    Great video David, id like to see you review every single lens you own and more night time street photos, that place where you were sat to talk i do wonder what that would be like at night and all the big sign posts, we dont really have those here, except the mcdonalds one, the world has that.

    • @davidsaylors
      @davidsaylors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Martin, I should take an inventory of what I still have, I sold a ton of them a year or so back, and do that. It would be a cool take on how I looked at them then versus now... That is a great idea. Thank you!

    Great images. It is so nice to see images of a small town. Although I would walk with another person. For safety.

      I am that guy you get to go with you for safety though... lol, I hear you, just having a little fun there. It is my town so I am not super worried here, but I dont wander around other places to far off the beaten path if I dont know the area too well...

    All right, first of all the Rabbit...what & why? then the bent power pole was triggering barrel distortion ptsd at beginning of video, LOL. Good to see you back at it with a video, wife is on me about doing more you tube shorts with her.
    Had a huge gas moment yrs ago regarding Voigtlander glass but never pulled the trigger but really was on fire for some...Zeiss on a couple manual focus as well, the 35mm in particular but I believe 20mm on the Voightlander.
    Did pull the trigger last night on my first Z lens 24-120 F4 S lens even though I own the F mount version and every other focal length you can imagine. did pick it up used in excellent shape and probably saved a couple hundred off for going new. I'm hoping for less lens changing and quicker focus and ability to do video without motor noise and apparently it gets pretty good close focusing. I would of liked a little more reach and I believe Tamaron made a 35-150mm 2.8 for Sony that would of been great for Nikon. If this satisfies me then I'll let everyone know about the F mount AFS lenses for sale although I'll maintain my older glass AIS & D lens collection.
    Merry Christmas from another small town in Texas that happens to have an even smaller town named Trenton down the road from us.

      Rabbit? I am lost here? LOL The wonders of the GoPro camera and the barrel distortion are not to be taken lightly...lol. Glad to see you here in the comments, I should work on the Shorts more too, they are really popular right now... Thank you C2C...

      @@C2CDisciple I had to rewatch the video and then I saw it!!! I didn’t even notice it at the time. That is kinda creepy. Now I will have to go back and check it out to see what is going on. You pay way more attention to things than even I do when I am there!!! Well done.

    That’s interesting about photographing in small town. I’d like to do more photography in small towns next year. I was out shooting at the same time you were making this video. It was just after 4:00 CT for me.

    Yep, small town ‘street shooting’ is far more difficult in so many ways, the suspicions of the townsfolk is probably the biggest issue that I have experienced, specifically small towns that have no tourist appeal or at way off the beaten track.

    • @davidsaylors
      @davidsaylors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I was surprised to see all the people that were "side eyeing" me as I walked around. It was still kinda interesting to look at the back of the town so to speak... Thank you!

      @@davidsaylors Good to see something that is closer to what I call small town. Mine is 1200 or so people, 1 gas station, Dollar General and 10 churches. I do wonder if the feeling of being watched is just me. It is a small town and someone walking around with a camera is a curiosity.

    Nice shots Dave! I can understand you not liking the controls on the lens, ergonomics are 75% of a good camera..

    • @davidsaylors
      @davidsaylors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      True. I love the lens and the output from it is gorgeous but the interaction is not great. I am already back on the TTartisan lens so we will play with it for a while. I like the compact nature of these lenses alot.

    I agree with you about small towns how every person is suspect especially if you have a camera. You could try the Nick Carver trick he puts on a Orange Vest and looks like a city employee as he walks around with a camera taking pictures and nobody bothers him

    • @davidsaylors
      @davidsaylors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is so true, it never occurred to me to use the "kit" for general photography, I had it in my mind that I needed that for places like medians or where I would be setting up a tripod. Thank you for the idea of just throwing on the garb and going for a walk. Good stuff.

      The clouds made the town look more interesting to be honest... ha ha. But if the person doesnt live here, then it is more interesting, the cops seemed to be the least interested though so you probably wont goto jail... lol. Thank you!

      Well... stainless steel cables, but yeah in the wind storms they are flying all over the place!!! LOL. It is really strange now that cities are starting to convert to pole mounted lights as this is how they were strung all my life.
