Love the walkaround and the wonderful exposition about the town. It's so interesting to get more context about the environment, it somehow breathes life into the pictures. That clock discovery shows your great attention to detail. Great video, looking forward to the next one. (Oh and I have a friend up in Sweetwater so if you happen to pass by on interstate 75 while you're out and about with your camera I'd love to see a video on that town too. ❤😉)
Thank you! I really appreciate that. The local history and community is wonderful and no one else seems to notice. Especially if you live in it, you see it every day and it becomes the norm. I like to look at it from the “outside” and see it anew. Sweetwater huh???? Now that is on the list too.
Nice pictures on your walk! Thanks for the cute video. I use the Voigtlander 58mm f1.4 a lot on a FF Nikon, it also takes gorgeous pictures. All the best, Peter
Glad you like them! Congrats on your channels growth! Have seen you come out of nowhere and now your looking down the barrel of a silver play button, that is a lot of work. Well done!
Downtown San Antonio has a tremendous amount of churches. At the Courthouse they have an underground hallwy that links the Justice Building and there in the basement is the Jailhouse Restaurant which is populark.. The Masons Church is a block away from the Alamo and it is a huge building. Across from that is a Methodist Church and another Justice Building where the old San Antonio Postal Substation used to be. They are combining substations now to save money in leasing costs. Cheers!
When I was driving back to Texas from Florida I needed Gas for the car and drove 5 miles looking for Chevron which I never found but did finally find a Murphy's Gas at a Walmart. I have never seen so many Golf Carts on the streets in my life. i was worried that Ithe car waws going to run out of fuel. I like going to different towns too but lately I have been waiting too long around the house for packages which seems forever to be delivered. Waisitng a whole day like today to sign for something. Well I guess I'll mow the front yard today. Do not dare to do the back because if the delivery comes and I have to sign for it they will take it back and try again another day. So I end up watching all my TH-camrs and taking a lot of naps. Cheers!
I always wonder how these small towns survive today. Especially these small town mom and pop shops like furniture stores. How are they still in business?
David In Europe you have the City Hall, Train depot, Police Station all in the center of town I am i the hospital after having open heart surgery and should be home this week
😳Open heart surgery?!?! How is this the SECOND thing you mentioned here??? I am glad to hear you are apparently doing well and are getting to go honey soon. Praise the Lord for that!!!
@@davidsaylors David Had I been doing bad it would have been the first thing I mentioned I have had Constrictive Pericarditis since Feburary my heart is perfectly fine the sack surrounding my heart became adhered to it and preventing my hearts proper function. Sometimes it clears up on it's own mine did not so they decided to operate to correct the condition I had no other underlying conditions so I have a high prospect for full recovery

Voigtlander makes some really nice glass from what I can tell. 👍📸
Weather looks phenomenal
Gotta show the Lens..people prefer to see the hardware.
Ooops… thanks for the reminder!!!! I straight forgot! Notes would help I guess… 👍📸
Really like the walk around David, I do appreciate your time in presenting insights into these small Towns.

@davidsaylors MANY thanks 😊
Cool video! Did you get a coffee there? I like photographing those clocks.
Not yet! But I suspect I will go back at some point and I will then. 👍📸
Thanks, Mr. Saylors. Now the tourists are covering us up here in Jasper thanks to your video.
Ha! All 137 of them at once!!!! 🤣
Maybe it's just a bunch of wasted Hippies from Bonaroo who've gotten lost on their way home.
This was a very entertaining photo walk, David! I can’t wait to look for that clock pedestal next time I’m in downtown Chattanooga.
Go in the jewelry store and at the back where the register is, that is where the old photo is at that shows the clock on Market. 👍📸
Love these photo walks.
Thank you Ron
Cool, little town, and you got some very nice shots!
Thanks Bassangler👍📸
We have a clock similar to that one at the train depot in my hometown of Ashland Va
That must be a standard shape for a pedestal clock then or they are all using the same company or something.

I find that to be true of almost all southern cities

It has to be tough. I wonder too
