Case doesn't require a riser based on the motherboard mounting. The price of the case should have been around the 109.99 price point. The case depth should have been increased by 25-50 mm to allow for fans and a 3 slot gpu as well as provide a chamber to route the PSU cable inside. I had really high hopes for this, but the fact, that it doesn't support 4 slot gpus is unbelievable, considering its size. Like how does this have the same gpu support as a meshlicious?
Meshlicious uses riser, so it optimizes space better. This case is NR200 placed vertically. This layout's biggest plus is compatibility with good air towers and no risers
I just built a system with this case, and the new icue link system. With some patience, you can route and fit 25 mm fans on the front, but it depends on the ITX Motherboards I/O plate for some clearance. MSI z790i EDGE WiFi GTX 4090 FE SF1000L iCUE LINK H150i RGB AIO Liquid CPU Cooler with 3 additional fans. I would highly suggest building or purchasing a custom length ATX 24 pin. Depending on the PSU 100 mm SFXL or 150 mm for SFX to allow easier wire management. So far temps have been decent, and the pc is quiet under medium load.
Always love your detailed ITX case reviews. I definitely like this style of tall standing ITX cases, but this one is a no go for me - It does look cheap for the price! I like the push-open hinged top panel of the Phanteks Evolv Shift cases with easy access to the I/O Ports - I rather have the MB on top. I just hope Phanteks or other brands release something better, while improving on the GPU cooling and support.
Nope. I got this case a week before the release date from a local retailer and it went back the next day. The case poorly space optimized (seriously though, the meshroom can fir a 353mm 4 slot GPU and a 280mm rad), has barely any cable management and has the jankiest PSU cable out I have ever seen on a case. The only things going for it are the 360 rad support and the rgb fans.
Only fits up to 3-slot GPU, I'm using a 3.7-slot RTX 4080, sadly this case is not for me... Using SSUPD Meshroom S but I prefer the non-riser case like this
Look at the nr200P mesh (case and filters) compared to this case and you will see the difference. All mesh is not created equal. GN has pointed this out many times.
Did you test temps with the front set to exhaust and the side rad as intake? In the video the front looks set to intake, which probably isn't helping GPU temps.
I built a PC for my wife with this case it has a 3070 Ti in it, no load was the GPU was at 45 C and then under load it was around 60, spiked to 80 but that was the absolute highest it would go under hours of playing. Also for the IO I think once you have everything plugged in it works well, you have Bluetooth and if you need quick access to more USB ports they have USB hubs for that.
I feel like the original version of this case was a little better ....it had fan at the top and all the i/o was at the top as well. The velcro straps were for all the cables.
Dust filter should be on front where air been take in. Not from back. Now case with RGB cost 59 €, but still. Not really know should i buy it for person who want ITX or mATX case
The ONLY systems I've ever owned with components that failed (at any point - in or out of warranty) were Corsair Ones. The 1080 in my first gen failed after only a few years. More recently, an a200 experienced pump failure and the warranty replacement took over six weeks to process... oh, and was shipped with Win11 instead of the Win10 that I originally ordered and still prefer. This case initially looks interesting, but the PSU cable "management" on the back and the video I/O are far from optimal. Meanwhile, the lack of a top exhaust fan - you know, 'cuz heat tends to RISE - is just perplexing on a case this size (and at this price). IMHO, Corsair might want to take a look at what they're doing in this space (pre-builts, cases) and make some adjustments to improve quality and function.
Isn't it possible, as you can install the side panels up side down, that the idea is so that the case can be flipped up side down? By moving the legs to the top and installing the side panels up side down?? Would make sense for me to have the IOs on the top, and hanging the GPU is a good thing I would say
I like the size, but not the price. The O11 air mini supports ATX boards and PSUs, and comes in at a lower price. The 5000d airflow is cheaper and supports bigger gpus. I was interested in moving to this case... Was
I see a number of new cases have USB-C port but do not specify if this port can support USB 3.2 gen 2x2 or USB4. Are all USB-C ports created equal with full support for whatever?
just wondering if it is possible to install 2 fans from the outside on the case, on side of the GPU to improve the temperatures, might not be suitable for everyone but if it does help significantly with temperature it might be viable.
@HardwareCanucks Will it fit a 4090 (Specifically MSI VENTUS 3X) or is that being to optimistic with the available GPU space? I assume to remove the dust filter so it can breathe a little more 😅
@@elchartps3 What accessing the HDMI, DP, keyboard and mouse needs? It is connected and you leave it like that. Front ports are for sticks and other crap. People are crazed about aesthetics with their RGB sluthouse looks and somehow ignore how ugly the cables coming out from the back are.
Would be cool to have the motherboard right way up, have the IO in the back and just have the GPU with a riser cable, but that seems to be impossible to engineer in this kind of a case.
I'm using a Silverstone Alta G1M and this looks similar to that and I really like this kind of form factor that takes up less space on the desk but looking at the io location and quality, i think i'd rather stay with the Alta case for now. Hope more case companies makes these kinds of casings though.
Looks like Corsair put their c team to work on this case. Magnets on side panels and open frame design on the GPU side seems like a no brainer, and other manufacturers have been doing it for quite some time now.
Just makes me wish Corsair did a larger version capable of fitting Micro Atx boards. Which would be similar to Silverstone Alta G1M. I don't like being forced into both mini itx boards plus also SFX power supplies. That's just a double whammy for system builders. I do like the vertical aspect. And I feel a lot of people out have desk space to spare in height but not so much in depth. Personally I dont mind not having heaps of GPU options. But this is better than Silverstone's in that regard. I don't see Corsair or Silverstone stealing many people away from the AP201. Which is incredibly versatile. I know it started with NR200 and there are the Jonsbo ones etc too. I'll watch on to see where this small and tall design goes..
I'm reviewing the new Cobra line from Razer, so deff had to take out the Viper Mini SE and the SE is incredible. If you can find it, it's pretty OP. -D.
You didn't mention siverstone who've been making mini itx cases fir years , woth the raven 01 , 03 and tje sugo line of cases all smaller than corsairs effort
No hate to corsair but I have the DLH21 case by darkflash in my living room as an x-box "look alike" for couch gaming. It rivals this case for less money (granted it is smaller) and looks better IMO if you can find it available in the color you want.
Producers need to fix one big flaw of vertical cases - media panel needs to be mountable both on top, or on bottom, else you are stuck on table or on the floor. Give me options dammit!
Nothing will ever top how insanely awesome the Corsair One was. And while this case is massive for an ITX, it is still very cool of a set up and smaller than an ATX case.
if you've looked at this case i would love to see you consider the mATX Silverstone Alta G1M. same concept as the corsair but with intake from bottom and the ability to take 4 slot GPU without the gpu heat issue you encountered.
Looks like Corsair is using the same mesh as the top filter on the 4000D, which is extremely restrictive. That's pretty bad decision choice in my opinion.
I'm struggling to understand who they're targeting with this because it's so expensive, but lacks a lot of the things that the SFF community would be willing to pay that premium for. After a certain size, cases have to contend with the NR200, which is much cheaper than this, and less of a headache because the I/O isn't pointed downward.
Those other SFF cases is too big so it's something you can't put in your living room but this 2000D is more feasible because of its small physical foot print. I like gaming on my 75inch Samsung Q-LED in the living room.
I don't like that power cable on the back. Corsair need to reroute it inside and have the psu cable come out the bottom. They need redesigning that case.
I still prefer the cooler master NR200p. The old one without the vertical gpu. Can fit most really high-end parts. Good performance and amd great price
I'm really liking the mesh panel designs. Tired of the fish tank unicorn vomit pc cases and my next machine will likely have no rgb or very limited rgb and either a solid panel or a mesh one like this or that asus prime ap201. I wish thermaltake would release a mesh version of their tower series that would be super cool.
This seems like more of an MATX case rather than an ITX. They need to make a 1000 D case where you can fit up to a 280 mil. In it, but figure out a different place to set up the ITX motherboards only. That's easier to access than on the bottom
I can't imagine why anyone would pick this over the Meshlicious?? I can fit my MSI Suprim X 4090 in the Meshlicious with a 280mm Radiator. The performance diff between 360mm and 280mm is almost negligible.

I had really high hopes for this, but the fact, that it doesn't support 4 slot gpus is unbelievable, considering its size. Like how does this have the same gpu support as a meshlicious?
Anyway, it shouldn't be too difficult to improve this case: just a more porous mesh and give the gpu a little more space.
Meshlicious uses riser, so it optimizes space better.
This case is NR200 placed vertically. This layout's biggest plus is compatibility with good air towers and no risers
@smtnbad for the price though you should just go with the nr200...
I just built a system with this case, and the new icue link system. With some patience, you can route and fit 25 mm fans on the front, but it depends on the ITX Motherboards I/O plate for some clearance.
MSI z790i EDGE WiFi
GTX 4090 FE
SF1000L
iCUE LINK H150i RGB AIO Liquid CPU Cooler with 3 additional fans.
I would highly suggest building or purchasing a custom length ATX 24 pin. Depending on the PSU 100 mm SFXL or 150 mm for SFX to allow easier wire management.
So far temps have been decent, and the pc is quiet under medium load.
that 2000 is super nice. next one am going to build!
Would make sense for me to have the IOs on the top, and hanging the GPU is a good thing I would say
thanks, really good review, i needed this, im going with the SSUPD
I like the size, but not the price. The O11 air mini supports ATX boards and PSUs, and comes in at a lower price. The 5000d airflow is cheaper and supports bigger gpus. I was interested in moving to this case... Was
can't we make a small cut out for cables and mount fans outside, on the Gpu side?
I see a number of new cases have USB-C port but do not specify if this port can support USB 3.2 gen 2x2 or USB4. Are all USB-C ports created equal with full support for whatever?
Did any notice something painfully wrong with the case at 2:10 (Check the Front - Right - Bottom of the case)
Rocking a SAMA IM01 with micro atx motherboard, full size psu, 2.5 slots gpu and a 155mm tower cooler. For $60. Can't beat that
just wondering if it is possible to install 2 fans from the outside on the case, on side of the GPU to improve the temperatures, might not be suitable for everyone but if it does help significantly with temperature it might be viable.
@HardwareCanucks Will it fit a 4090 (Specifically MSI VENTUS 3X) or is that being to optimistic with the available GPU space? I assume to remove the dust filter so it can breathe a little more 😅
I could swear someone put a 4080 in one
Yep
The ports interface down is not an issue, it's a feature. I was already thinking CAD-ing a custom case like this, because there wasn't one.
how is not having access to your ports a feature?
@@elchartps3 What accessing the HDMI, DP, keyboard and mouse needs? It is connected and you leave it like that. Front ports are for sticks and other crap. People are crazed about aesthetics with their RGB sluthouse looks and somehow ignore how ugly the cables coming out from the back are.
How did you mount the D12L in a vertical configuration instead of horizontal?
Would be cool to have the motherboard right way up, have the IO in the back and just have the GPU with a riser cable, but that seems to be impossible to engineer in this kind of a case.
How do you compare Corsair 2000D airflow vs jonsbo D31 Mesh, which one have better cooling? N which one you prefer to buy?
2:08 put your left side panel in place at the bottom 😬
I'm using a Silverstone Alta G1M and this looks similar to that and I really like this kind of form factor that takes up less space on the desk but looking at the io location and quality, i think i'd rather stay with the Alta case for now. Hope more case companies makes these kinds of casings though.
I guess I got lucky getting hold of my C4-SFX. quite happy with it, but would like some filtering on it. May have a shot at it this afternoon.
10L-15L is the sweet spot for zero compromise. 24L is just too big.
If you used your noctua cooler, would you be able to mount fans on the side as well or is there not enough room there
Corsair builds cases to sell bigger AiO, more fans and make more money. It's not about what you want.
witch one can i buy to fit 3080 4 slot GPU ? wanna have one ITX build but GPU 4 slots and tryed to buy NZXT H1 V2 and GPU want fit
doesnt the ssupd meshroom support 360mm rads?
No, only 280. That’s why Corsair won’t get sued for copying their design
Looks like Corsair put their c team to work on this case.
Magnets on side panels and open frame design on the GPU side seems like a no brainer, and other manufacturers have been doing it for quite some time now.
can it accommodate a 3.5 slot, 325mm GPU like the 7900 XTX Nitro+ ?
I think because of how cheap m.2 drives are these days they only felt the need for 1 sata ssd. m.2 is basically the standard now.
I see you are using a viper mini SE, how do you like it so far?
I'm reviewing the new Cobra line from Razer, so deff had to take out the Viper Mini SE and the SE is incredible. If you can find it, it's pretty OP.
-D.
@@HardwareCanucks thank you for the answer, waiting for the upcoming review :)
Think it is possible to migrate a corsair one into this case?
Any good mini itx case for 4080 and 4090 aftermarket that is usually available?
Sorry, could someone tell me if applying thermal pads over the notebook heat pipe can be better or worse?
i still think the best itx tower chassis design is Silverstone ft-03 mini
The FT-03 Mini is one of my all time favorite vertical cases. How I wish they would release an updated version for modern hardware...
You didn't mention siverstone who've been making mini itx cases fir years , woth the raven 01 , 03 and tje sugo line of cases all smaller than corsairs effort
Cooler Master Haf XB EVO is still my Favorite case ever made. :)
I believe the CPU cooler restriction is with an AiO for pump height.
Would love to see the temps for the cpu and gpu when using that air cooler you had mounted!
Nothing will ever top how insanely awesome the Corsair One was. And while this case is massive for an ITX, it is still very cool of a set up and smaller than an ATX case.
if you've looked at this case i would love to see you consider the mATX Silverstone Alta G1M. same concept as the corsair but with intake from bottom and the ability to take 4 slot GPU without the gpu heat issue you encountered.
should also say how you configure your fan set up
Looks like Corsair is using the same mesh as the top filter on the 4000D, which is extremely restrictive. That's pretty bad decision choice in my opinion.
All that size for an ITX case and no performance benefits. Sticking with my NR200P Max then
Can the front of the case use 140mm fans?
Check out the Meshlicious or Meshroom S. Arguably better cases. The Meshlicious is even in the thermal testing chart in this video
Anyone know any case with a form factor like this that fits the massive 4090s?
This seems like more of an MATX case rather than an ITX. They need to make a 1000 D case where you can fit up to a 280 mil. In it, but figure out a different place to set up the ITX motherboards only. That's easier to access than on the bottom
Which 4090 cards dose it fit? (Beside 4090 FE)
How are the USB slots and how many are there?
Awesome review! Could you fit a 4090 strix in this?
2:07 | I hope the one on the side of the housing is unintentional...
Pay close attention to the gpu measurements. Their site lists 365 max and everywhere else is listing 320.
5:39 when I saw this, I immediately thought the thermals will be shite, an obstructed top flow is never a good thing.
the rear end mobo connections really killed it for me
what if u water cool the gpu in this case?
Thost temps are amazing
But can I fit a Zotac 4080 Trinity in it?
I can't imagine why anyone would pick this over the Meshlicious?? I can fit my MSI Suprim X 4090 in the Meshlicious with a 280mm Radiator. The performance diff between 360mm and 280mm is almost negligible.
