I can't believe how well your arm came out from having so many different artists touch you. It's hard to have a sleeve look almost like one person did it from how they all blend into eachother. Every artist has their own style so to see yours turn out like this is amazing

I've spent about 28hours getting tattooed and I'm about halfway tho my sleeve on my left arm and a tattoo that covers the outside of my upper right arm it takes ages getting tattoos but worth it I've also spent about 1500pounds not cheep
@@nickm8810 1.5k £ for almost 30 hours of tattoing is pretty cheap. My last tattoo was a full chest piece which took about 18hours and I paid 4k € but this artist is one of the best in the world I fell in love with that tattoo and I get compliments on it every time. Every cent was worth it
Love this video! Really like that you included prices and how long each piece took. I feel like price is such a taboo topic to discuss however I like knowing what to somewhat expect price wise so I have an idea of how much I need to save up. I know all artists charge different amounts but when you don’t have any tattoos or even just one, it’s very helpful.

Most of your tattoos are really good but you definitely got rinsed for some. 3 sessions on just the skull is insane - coming from someone who also has realism tattoos from high end artists
Martin John I agree with you that it was abit longer than it should have been for the skull but that whole piece came out amazing. At the end of the day it's on you for life and in a very visible placement so I'd rather have something take longer and be done perfectly
So I’ve gotten work done at the same shop by the same guys (portraits, and half sleeves) and iv thought that to myself a lot “like damn how many sessions do I have to do for you to finish this piece” lol
The skull is at least 6 hours tops I have the same realism tatto I payed 650$ for it but no dam 3 sessions i got it done in one full session

People really underestimate the quality and work that goes into these. I have coworkers that freaked out when i told them the pricing of my sleeve. But its by the hour of a very good and well respected artist. All realism and very fine detailing. Worth every penny. People need to understand that its not just about pricing, but the quality.

Damn man, great sleeve! It's quite funny to me since our tattoo story is extremely similar but my first was to cover up self-harm scars. However, i'm in NY and the prices here are insane haha. Keep up the great work and good luck on your continued journey!

Got my most recent tattoo at Dark Age. Alex Arango was my artist and did an awesome job. All the artists at that shop are incredibly talented. Can't wait to go back in a few months to finish up my half sleeve!

Nick Alex I actually did a speech on this my freshman year of college. The climate of tattoos has changed so much that MOST jobs won’t care about it unless it’s hands or neck (and even then many corporate offices have dope tattoo culture) so do what you want and polish your skills to even if you were completely tatted, your skills alone would be valuable to a company! Or open your own business. Haha😂

BCLife yessir, i find artists that charge by the hour are good but can often milk it just to get the most money, when you find a good artist that charge by the piece there's nothing better, check out @anarchytattoostudios on ig that's where i go for everything great guys and great work

Loved your video, your never to old neither haha, I started my tattoos when I was 63. I'm 66 now and I have a full upper body now. I'm ready for the beach and I get so much attention for my ink. I do wear sunscreen now and long sleeves in the sun, the only drawback. No regrets though, love my ink and yours looks good too. Take care!!

I am inked to the top of my neck down 3 inches below my belly button cause I wanted to wear my bathing suit and all you see is ink. My back is total but wanted nothing on my leg. I wanted the contrast in body, one half all ink, bottom torso, all clean haha. I stay thin also so women your age hit on me but I stay humble and say thank you all the time. I have been in restaurants and men your age and women say they love my ink. I am always nice and a gentleman. Your a good looking kid, you will have so many women after you haha, better get used to it. Take care

I have my whole arm sleeve as well as my back & some chest done but by far the worst pain tattoo I’ve gotten was my leg. Ankle to knee 😓😩 11 hrs

Drew Gunby I was diagnosed with stage 2 lymphoma as a freshman in high school, this March was 6 years for me as well! Also pretty neat, but I have a tattoo that says "survivor" in my oncologist's handwriting under my collarbone, right next to one of my surgery scars :)
It's always cool to run into a fellow survivor who's as open about sharing their experience as I am! Best wishes ✌🏼

Awesome sleeve drew! I’m about to start mine. Definitely had the same first tattoo experience haha. Taking your advice in trying to only find a few great artists for the sleeve but regardless yours is dope since I follow some of the artists you got yours from. NYC artists are def pricey but worth it. I’m starting forearm up though. I think you should drop a video on what you think is the best way to start a sleeve? (Shoulder-Down, forearm - up, etc).

I got a Japanese sleeve. And everyday I keep thinking I should have got a realism one. Urs looks sweet. I'm still wondering how come ur pieces needed so many hours. Like 12 hours for a rose? I got my full coloured sleeve done in a total of 3, 5 hour sessions.

Realism takes a lot of time, multiple sessions on just one piece to add details & see how things healed.
Also, I had 11 artists work on my arm total, so more time blending it in to the surrounding pieces & what not.

What a coincidence, my first tatt I locked my moms keys in the car in a Taco Bell parking lot across the street from the tattoo shop and tried to get in with a slim Jim so I wouldn’t have to tell my mom what happened and i ended up breaking the door handle and showing back up with a unexpected tattoo and a broken door

A unique peace I thought up back in school, a tribal with all the different pieces come together to create face of wolf with lines and shading for fur. Meaning to me is simple-all the different parts made me who I am as a whole

@@zerad3307 dude I've bee to Bali twice and there are so many Indonesians with tatts. My first three tatts we're done in aubud at a vegan tattoo shop.
Mr 5 Bali people has a different perspective than the rest of Indonesian people. They more likely identical to western people and open minded. That is why i want to move to Bali asap.
