Really huge respect for the boxer champ who fought with Buakaw, the muay thai champ!
He nailed it! It’s not actually easy and even unfair to match a boxer with a kickboxer/ muaythai (but ofc this is because of the boxer’s will to enter this kickboxing tournament)
However, the boxer still managed to cope well, pushed, and gave a hard time for Buakaw. I can see the determination and tenacity of the boxer. It was a hard-fought win for Buakaw by Judges’ decision. He couldn’t K.O or T.K.O the boxer.

In this type of exhibition you will never see the best boxers in the world in their prime (Mayweather, Pacquiao, De la Hoya, Tyson, Naoya Inoue, etc.) because they fight for millions and they will not lower themselves to fight in those types of fights, then they are going to take former world champion boxers or unknown boxers to fight against good Muay Thai fighters (because they are not as highly valued) so those types of results will be common.

Ray Mercer was 43 years old and 12 years removed from being WBO champion. His opponent, Musashi, was 32. I love Muay Thai yet this is a misleading video. Mercer was able to go the distance at 43; think of the damage he would have done if both of them were 32. Arthur Williams was 40 and his opponent, Alexy was 26! Neither sport is better. A truly top boxer could potentially end the fight long before succumbing to kicks. The sports overlap. And the non-overlapping portions of both sports are valuable.

It's funny how muay thai fan boys claim that if elbows and low kicks are allowed than boxers won't stand a chance. If they fight in a street with no rules, boxers would come out on the top most of the time. Because on the streets it's hard to pull of these crazy clinches, low kicks, mid kicks etc. Kicks can be easily countered by catching and dragging which is illegal in these competitions. On the streets, the guy who throws the first few vicious punches wins and survives.

I'm 41 years old and I am boxing for over 24 years Peekaboo style, I'm a middle weight 186cm, 82 kg. I was locked up for over 10 years, but honestly I beat up every Muay Thai or Kick Boxer with a first left jab, agressive right punch to their ears, a left in the sight belly and upper cut or heavy right cross.
The problem with Muay Thais is, that you can't fight against them on distance or you make them tiered, because they never go on very often over 3 rounds. On the street I used my jiu jitsu skills allso. If you are fearless in fighting a combatant peekaboo is the best, if it doesn't work for the first time, make the other one tired these guys have not usually the condition of a boxer.
I was a depth collector and also guys came with weapons.
The south African guy did it well but his punches weren't effective enough

Put padding on the legs too and you soften the blows aswel as slow them down, the same way the boxing gloves slow down the boxer. Bare knuckle boxers will have a better chance because their fists are conditioned making the punches harder, faster and more damaging. Remember, Muay Thai fighters condition their legs. Boxers do not condition their knuckles.

And there are still some who believe that boxing is superior.
It cannot be superior because it lacks elbow strikes, knees and kicks, plus projections.
Not even loudmouth Mayweather would have a chance.
When an experienced Muay Thai fighter begins to work with low kicks (which Buakaw did not do), the boxer begins to fall down his pillars.
You destroy a boxer's pillars, he runs out of air and in pain unknown to him, and the fight is already decided.

52 blocks is a type of boxing, it was formed in prison and 52 blocks also includes elbow clinch and knees.
So 52 blocks takes 52 blocks vs boxing vs muay thai
