    Would love more vids about this pair. Tips, tricks etc.

      Cheers! Definitely more coming and I'll be doing a livestream with the setup next week to show my sampling workflow using both. I do have this video (and jams/vlogs about the setup on my channel membership) as well if you want to see more in the meantime: th-cam.com/video/w_z6lOL8INU/w-d-xo.html

      Thank you! I'm still learning the Digitakt but it's slowly making more sense and finding some interesting ways to utilize both of these machines

    I was thinking about the same setup man, great video

    • @sunwarper

      Definitely worth a try! My only issue is there's so many ways to route them but they all have a pro and con, I typically go Digi into SP but I'm working on a setup using overbridge and the SP as the audio interface to see if I can get the best of both

    Enjoying the same setup. :) I like recording DAW MIDI clips + soft synths into the SP as well.

    • @sunwarper
      @sunwarper  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nice! That's a great way of doing it as well. Are you routing the SP with the DAW using USB-C? I absolutely love being able to use it like an interface and resample/throw back into the daw super fast :)

    • @HalfBakedBeats
      @HalfBakedBeats 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sunwarper I do use the usb-c to record audio stems/loops into the SP, which I then turn into patterns in various combinations. Then I do the drums / live performance with the help of other instruments (ex: DT or TR-8S). Here is a recent video / live jam: th-cam.com/video/EMKAmKE0Mqc/w-d-xo.html

    been working with this setup for years now! :) super nice! haven't been midi-triggering the SP from the Digi so far too much, but slowly building up to it :)

      @@sunwarper daisy chained some synths, they go into the digitakt, then digitakt to 404, that’s it 😂

    Should definitely use more my guitar with the SP and your example is great - nice sounds. Thanks

    • @sunwarper
      @sunwarper  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cheers! The SP works so well with guitar, the amp sim is great and paired with fx on all 4 main bus' you can get some crazy sounds. It's a lot of fun making warped, old sounding vinyl guitars using the fx like I did here

  • @user82938

    You got me thinking. I have an OT. I could send OT tracks 1-7 out the cue out to my SP404 for effects and additional samples, then come back into the OT and effect everything again on the master track. I'll have to try that. Just got the 404 last month.

    • @sunwarper
      @sunwarper  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      congrats on the 404! The OT looks awesome as well. That's a dope idea, but if you're routing audio from SP back into OT there might be feedback. I had issues when using the SP as an interface and sending the DAW audio through SP back into DAW. My workaround was muting the audio track of the final SP audio, that way it's recording all the live fx (and I'm hearing it all from the speakers connected to the SP) but it's not creating the doubling feedback.

    • @user82938
      @user82938 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sunwarper That's an advantage the OT has over the Digitakt. You can send audio out the cue outs, which removes it from the main outs, and prevents feedback loops. You can find some videos on YT that show how it's done.

    • @sunwarper
      @sunwarper  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ah totally forgot it has the cue out, nice! One day I’d love to get an OT, but the DT and SP do everything I need at the moment. Let me know how the OT and SP pair, sounds dope

    Hey man! Really digging your videos! You said you could press play in the Digitakt and it plays the Circuit too. Is it possible to change sections of a song (or even change songs/projects) on one device using the other one?

    • @sunwarper
      @sunwarper  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cheers! It's all synced via MIDI using the Digitakt as the "brain". Regarding section changes, that might be possible through MIDI CC programming on the Digitakt. You can set different knob parameters on the Digitakt to control other gear, like using a knob on the Digitakt to control the SP's fx. I'm still looking into all of that (I'm a bit slowed on videos/production with a 5 month old) so I'm not sure the extent to which you can program.
      Hope that helps, I'm looking more into all of that and when I feel I've got a sense of it all I do intend to make a video on it :)

      The synth stand? It's a stand I got off amazon that I then built some wood shelving to hold the synths.

    Not sure what's going wrong but I connect midi and go into settings on both devices and follow the directions, but I am not getting sound from SP-404 when I trigger from Digitakt in chromatic mode. I went up and down octaves. Hopefully it's something obvious.

    • @sunwarper
      @sunwarper  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Any luck with it? I recently had an issue trying to reconnect my Minilogue to the Digitakt and it just wasn't receiving signal.
      For the SP Specifically, I have a video tutorial on setting them up here: th-cam.com/video/w_z6lOL8INU/w-d-xo.html
      Beyond that, you may have done all of these, but here are my suggestions: double check what MIDI mode you're in, double check all the settings are right and then check the corresponding bank/MIDI channel is selected.
      Hope it helps :)

    hi again - the pattern recording of the circuit / minilouge ? u kinda skipped fast through that :)

    • @sunwarper
      @sunwarper  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The beatmaking is an edit from a livestream that had a lot of technical issues, so I had to edit around the sound drops and issues. I'll link the stream if you want to see more about those sections, but basically the Digi is sending tempo sync to the Circuit and the Circuit can then be performed on live and "record" my performance into scenes. The Digi's sync with the Circuit means when I start/stop on the Digi, the Circuit does the same.
      For the Minilogue, I sampled it into the SP and triggered the sample on the Digi. For the final version of the beat you hear at the end (and the full jam that's up for my Channel Members) I re-recorded that part into the Digitakt and used slice machine to play some trippy sample chops from it.
      Hope that helps, here's the full livestream this was edited from:

    • @sunwarper
      @sunwarper  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cheers, MIDI A is the one that I think works best between SP and Digi, it makes every bank it's own MIDI channel. I have a full breakdown and tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/w_z6lOL8INU/w-d-xo.html

      404 and elektron combo is way more fun and useful than an MPC. I sold my MPC one and rely on the 404 and Digitone (polyphonic midi) I don’t miss the MPC even a little bit.
