There's tons of videos online about it now but you often want to avoid front lighting because it looks less cinematic for lack of a better term. You want to shoot the shadow side because it creates contrast
would be nice to see a video dedicated to choosing the right iso for nighttime conditions. still something I'm learning about as a beginning cinematographer
