So that transmission, i see you can get a reman for T56 money, and that's pretty appealing considering the strength difference. But how would it be on a street/strip car? Do you still have a clutch for start/stop and just not shift with it? How's that work? Does it have reverse?
@@boss_racing I’ve never experienced how awesome a Liberty clutch less is. I’ve been asking around for a good source for a stout C4 and converter but after seeing what I’ve been missing, I seriously considering a Liberty now.
@@danielwilson6665liberty 5 speed is imo the fastest transmission on the market, and the most efficient. That’s why it carried a weight adder or was outright prohibited in nearly every heads up class for decades.
Going to order trans in a few days any idea on gear ratios and rear end gear to get me started? It’s a 430ci sbf makes about 950hp Car weight is about 2750ish 1/8 mile

It has reverse but this is not a street transmission, can’t be street driven. It doesn’t downshift or decelerate in gear

This is a liberty clutchless 5 speed out of an nhra pro stock car. Motor is 3.500 stroke 4.030 bore 358”

Yes stock pedals but whole tunnel has to be cut out and re done with tin work and dzeus pins. Mcleod soft lok clutch
