Hey Karl, great vid. Very informative. I have PS5/PC and I'm trying to put together an entry level rig that will run GT on the PS5, but also use it on PC for F1 and Forza. If I get the GT DD base, but an Xbox wheel (the on I'm checking out is the CSL Elite Steering Wheel licensed by McLaren and Xbox), would that set up be compatible with PS and PC? Trying to figure out if it's the base or the wheel, or both, that are key to making this setup work. Thanks for you advice!
A question for those who constantly complain about underpowered force feedback: Have you actually driven a real car? Because the feedback from a real automobile wheel is nowhere near as violent as you seem to think it is.
That is totally true but a real car gives feedback to your whole body regarding g forces, vibrations etc. We dont have that in Sim so the wheel is trying to include as many feedbacks as possible through the wheel therefore the comparison between real steering wheel and sim wheel does not fully work
Not really, I have a race type car (Toyota Supra) with nylon bushings/heim joints and such, going 100mph on a small turn, you damn well feel it on the steering wheel. A regular everyday car, no, you don't feel a thing unless you remove power steering.
Karl I just wanted say thanks for everything you do, I'm just now entering the sim racing world and have been watching a ton of your videos lately and you always do such a great job explaining everything where even a total newbie like me can understand. I returned my G29 and decided to swap to the Fanatec DD Pro . Im so glad I did. This wheel is awesome! You can really feel what the car is doing and control your vehicle much better! So so smooth. I mounted it to my Playseat Challenge with a small adjustment and I’m literally in SIM heaven!! I was skeptical at first with this combo but I’m pleasantly surprised that I have zero issues and it’s extremely comfortable.
I've had the exact same journey! I've got the Playseat Challenge and have this bundle arriving tomorrow as 2 weeks in, decided I wanted to upgrade my G29. What small adjustment do you mean?
Hi Karl, On the base of your review I have just ordered the Gran Turbos DD Pro 8 Nm with the additional CSL load cel kit. Thank you for reviewing this. Regards Dale

Yeah I've had no issued with the pedal port and mine has been unplugged and plugged in way more than most peoples as that's what I use for testing cockpits and wheel stands etc.

Fanatec is using an optical decoupler for data and inductor for power inside the wheelbase. Then all the data/power is passed to the rim via pins inside the shaft. This way they are all internal and infinite rotation is possible.
Just ordered this (base bundle) which is my first steering wheel set-up. Was originally looking at the T248 but would always wish I'd spent a bit more for a far better kit. I'll see how 8 get on and then may upgrade the brake and 180 power pack. Can't wait to get this now. Thanks for the helpful review 👍
A comment on the Quickstart Guide (printed installation sheet). You noted it was not the clearest document. I'll second that. I'd go so far as to say it is woeful. I contacted Fanatec support, and suggested that actual photographs showing the cabling setup, would be a massive improvement. I have set up many peripherals in my time (I'm 61), and yet found this really confusing.
I have it for a week now on my Playseat Challenge and love the DD together with the boost kit, Formula v3 wheel and V3 pedals. Like you said, i think as an console Ps5 user, this is the ultimate set for me and no futher upgrade needed as an console gamer (i think). I did buy the indigolime reinforcement kit just for sure.
works well with that seat ?? trying to decide what to choose. playstation is in family room, computer in a different room. could do a rig type, but would need to have it portable, since it would be in the main tv viewing area
@Jean-Philippe Duplantis I have the gt lite here now, with a t248 thrust master wheel. Today was the first to connect it to a computer. It's a pita to get through a doorway... Lol.
Great review as usual, Karl. My coach, Digit_Gaming (Croatia) has this exact setup. He's regularly in old top 10 GTS, and yet dials DOWN the FFB on his 5nm outfit. I've just taken delivery of the 8nm with loadcell. Ur right, the LC wld be the first upgrade I'd choose if I was ordering afresh :-)
Nice review! I ordered these and now watching reviews while waiting for them to arrive :D. I would have wanted to get a different wheel but the price of the seperate parts would've been too much for a one time purchase for me, but atleast now I have room to upgrade in the future. ( I couldve gotten the CSL dd but I occasionally play ps4 and its not available until july)
Using the DD Pro set for almost a week now. I don't have the Load cell kit and default 5nm. The brake is quitte heavy but much better then G29 pedals. Also mounted the DD Pro on my Playseat Challenge, I must say it is stable enough for me! Though I ordered a Indigolime reinforcement kit for extra stability but it's not a must have.
dumb question probably, sorry. this setup is worlds better than the g29 or thrustmaster ?? (haven't used a wheel since a microsoft ffb a bazillion years ago)
Great to hear you can swap wheels depending on which console etc, just recently bought the G29 for ps5 and wouldn't want two separate units for both series x and ps5. Dread to think what the tax and vat would be to the isle of man. Ps glad to see TT making a return this year. Great informative video karl 👍
Got a 8nm load cell version GT DD Pro mounted on Next Level Racing GT Lite, with shifter and handbrake. Happy about everything so far, torque is enough for me since I previously used 2.2nm G29. Only complaints is that the wheel is too easy to get dirty, wheel edge material is sticky somehow, good friction though.
Nice review Karl! I I am considering buying GT DD Pro + Playseat Trophy Black for PS5 GT7. Is it worth buying 8nm torque boost kit in your opinion? In theory, the playseat should be perfect for conveying "vibration" for the base. But is 5 nm sufficient?
Your right I have a dd2 and have ffb down to 20 percent so if I did it again I would think about even a dd1 or that one .thats a great price to get racing
Thinking of buying this since I discovered G27 does not work on PS5... only bummer is that I have a Playseat Challenge. However I came across your Playseat Fanatec CSL DD Challenge video which convinced me to just give it a go!
I’m currently running the base package (5nm and pedals) with the playseat challenge and it works well, I have the pedals zip tied for the moment. Just waiting on a couple of stability mods from lowdown shifter before I upgrade to the 8Nm and the load cell. It’s so much fun. My first wheel and I saw the prices of others and just thought might as well get the fanatec rather than paying like £250 and wanting to upgrade in a year or so.
I’ve attached my unit without moving the mounting plate. Wanted to avoid this due to having fitted indigo lime reinforcement braces. The unit has side mounting points, L brackets with t slots and a bit of drilling. Easy job
Check the indigo lime mods. They seem to work very well. Had them on my playseat challenge with the t300. Now i got a dd pro on a playseat trophy. Both works brilliantly and i think playseat challenge+indigo lime will work with dd pro at 8nm.
Thanks for the quick Anderson. I really need this setup, because of no having much space. But I also need a quite wheel as well. Thurstmaster and Logitech are me much to noisy.
Hey Karl, thanks for your reviews! I’ve watched dozens of hours of your videos, and I’ve decided to go with Fanatec. I tried using your affiliate link, and I do get a nice discount on the DD Pro in the European Fanatec store, but when I switch the region to US, I’m unable to receive the discount. I’m wondering if you have an affiliate link for the US store. I’ve made my decision to purchase a Fanatec setup, and your videos were more than helpful to say the least. That being said, I’d really like to purchase using YOUR affiliate link. Thanks for any more help you can offer Karl.
My link is global mate, if there are any discounts they are not in my control, I didn't actually think there was so EU customers must have got lucky! lol
@@minibullet91 Thanks for the reply. By chance have you tried the DD Pro out on GT7? I have a nice PC as well for AC and ACC but currently playing through GT7.
Great review Karl! Mine just came in last week along with the Next Level Wheel Stand 2.0 and it’s been a great combo. You definitely helped in my search of my first setup and I couldn’t be happier
Last month i ordered that Gran Turismo DD Pro premium bundle w/ shifter and all of it was suppose to be delivered March 11 and then it got delayed to April 7 😒 ONLY because the load cell pedal isn't ready to ship yet 😒 ... so far I have a stream deck XL, buttkicker 2, and Next level racing WS 2.0 stand for now, just waiting for that damn fanatec to arrive
Hi Karl. Looking to get a GT DD Pro (8 nm and loadcell brake) along with a F-GT Lite rig. Since I won't be upgrading the steering wheel in the short-term, do you think the GT wheel in the bundle is still good to enjoy the full FF experience and doesn't feel totally toyish?
I'm so torn on whether to pick this up or wait to see what thrustmasters dd looks like. Having bought their load cell pedals and a different rim I'm already invested in thrustmaster but would like to upgrade my t300.
Well tgt II servobase is quite a upgrade. I got the t300 and it was too weak for my liking. Especially in gt sport. With the tgt II u get double the power and the buttkicker dfbt. The tgt II however only makes sense if u get it cheap. I was lucky to get a Brand new from amazon for 375 euro. I know the fanatec gt dd pro for 600 euro is better. However with loadcell and a decent rim ur at about 1000 euro. One other advantage is that thrustmaster is less work to set up the settings. Its more plug in play where the fanatec stuff is more of work. If your willing to do the work its better ofc. But witj 8nm u also need a decent rig
I would wait. I started with the T300 GT edition and after that i upgraded to the T-GT with TLCM and SF1000 wheel. That was a really great set up, so you do have still some great upgrade options in the Thrustmaster ecosystem and later this year the DD base. I could not wait anymore for the DD base from Thrustmaster, that is the only reason i did sell everything and went with Fanatec DD Pro
Hey Karl I'm just getting into sim racing and was curious can I use a different handbrake with this kit since fanatecs is out of stock till May. Thanks
I'm not very familiar with different sim rig setups as I only have a G29 with Wheelstand Pro V2. I'm starting to think that I should just bite the bullet and upgrade to this GT DD Pro, probably with the load cell and the boost kit. I guess that the wheelbase and the pedals can be attached to a Playseat Evolution (or Playseat Evolution Pro) directly without any modifications (like drilling extra holes)? Can you confirm this? 😊Thank you for your great videos! Cheers from Finland.
hi there, how much did you pay for the delivery and how long did it take to get to you ? I really want to get one but its not as easy to buy as the thrustmaster
so how do i add a clutch and a manual shifter later down th eline? I like being able to shift manually with the clutch and all. Of course paddle shifters are cool to for the right cars
Just so your viewers know there is a massive problem with the throttle on these kits. I got mine a few days ago and after one use the throttle stopped working. Research revealed loads of other people are having this problem and Fanatec has been very slow to respond. With the limited availability and long shipping times I would hold off on this for a while. Glad you had a good experience! Cheers!
grat videos ! i've been checking out a lot of them recently as a novice with sim racing (i just really enjoyed dirt rally 2.0) i ws wondering if anyone had some good suggestions on what kind of cockpit would work best with the dd pro. a bit entry level but something solid enough as i don't expect to upgrade from this setup.. thanks in advance
Something from the GT Omega range is good value for money (my discount helps too, code KG5), I would go with either the ART or Titan if you can afford it.
Hi Karl, great video as usual. May I ask a question: would/could you do (if you have the time/if it's worth your time) a video on what you do to learn a track?
Hi Karl, great review but I thought I should mention that your price for the basic DD Pro is the price Fanatec quotes, which EXCLUDES VAT. UK residents will need to pay an additional 20% VAT, plus delivery charges as it is coming from Europe, which will also be high due to Brexit controls.
I’m only familiar with Logitech and very new to Fanatecs DD wheels but this new GT bundle got me intrigued. But for the $800+ depending on the upgrades, do you think this is this the best bang for your buck? Thanks, Karl!
Not that I noticed mate, your in game car wheels would need to be perfectly straight for the wheel to be too, when not loaded into a race the wheel can sit anywhere it likes.
Decided to go for the full bundle with the boost kit and load cell. It's arriving on monday together with a simlab gt1 evo. It's my first rig ever and I feel like a kid waiting on christmas day atm haha.
I have this setup but wanna swap out the the steering wheel for 1 that doesn't look so much like a toy. The steering wheels from fanatec dont have a ps button. How does that work?
If I only play GT7 where everyone is on default ABS, would you consider the 8nm power supply a better upgrade than the LC pedal? If I can consistantly control the brake to reach around 25% 50% 75%, do you think the LC would provide more precision and consistancy?
I got my bundle a couple of weeks ago after months of waiting, the throttle pedal does not work. Fanatec replied to my support ticket with wiring instructions which did not help, so I am waiting to hear back from them. Also, keep in mind that you need to have a windows computer to update the firmware. I do not have a windows computer, so I am stuck with the firmware that it comes with which I suppose will need upgrading in the future. So now I have a pile of expensive junk that sits on my floor. I was Exited to use this thing, now I am just sad and disappointed.
@@KarlGosling Update: Fanatec made it all good, sent me a new pedal set. It works great! Additionally they sent me a return shipping label to return the defective part, which was cool because shipping stuff generally sucks. That made it a breeze.
I have it and it works great with the Playseat challenge. I only did buy Indigolime reinforcement just for sure. Love the DD Pro with Formula V2 and V3 pedals on my Playseat Challenge
I have the Playseat Trophy and am waiting for my funds to get back to normal before buying the GT DD Pro wheel and pedal set did the wheel and pedal set from the company fanatec fit ok on the playseat trophy please + will I need to buy another wheel for the new forza motorsport but I want this for my ps5 and be able to play gt7 is this possible please Karl
will this be a good combo with gt omega art cockpit? Was going to get the gt omega art with logitech g293 but I want something that will last me years. Will be playing on ps5 and pc.
Does Dirt rally 2 work in PS mode / blue light ? , i got a Clubsport RS for my CSL elite / PS4 and it no longer works in blue with the new wheel but it works fine with my P1 or Clubsport formula .
@@KarlGosling Thank you. Since seeing your review of the Titan actually purchased one of those instead. Just waiting on the GT DD Pro from Fanatec now. Great vids mate, love watching you reviews, keep up the great work 👍
Just upgraded to this wheel base from a t300rs and I will say it is immensely better but I was expecting a bit more quality i guess you could say from the feedback. It definitely makes sense why this base is under $1,000. The one thing I noticed that bugs me most is coming out of full lock AKA rotation of the wheel out of a corner the wheel base feedback seems to lag a millisecond behind when you are actually turning the wheel in real time...and yes its updated to the latest software. I can tell by having a lot of hours on it now that it is the wheel bases software that's not making the internals react exactly as fast as you are in real time. This shouldn't keep you from buying the base though, its amazing don't get me wrong but if you have the extra money just get a Simicube Sport or a DD2 if you have to stay within the Fanatec eco-system. Try and branch out though if your serious about making this a hobby cause Fanatec isn't the pinnacle of SIM gear even though it may look like it, there are definitely better wheel bases out there that arent Fanatec
I am planning on getting this set up for PS5, however I do not own a PC. Is it essential to have a PC to update the wheel and base or can it update while connected to the PS5?
Set it all up yesterday. Totally different level of quality and performance over the Logitech…night and day. Even the wheel has a better feel in my opinion. You won’t be disappointed!
Hi! Will this be a wise upgrade from a logitech G29? Have been using a G29 for 2-3 years and thinking of looking for an upgrade! Am playing mainly GT/F1 2021 on PS4 slim!
Just yesterday made the purchase of the DD Pro bundle with 8NM and the loadcell + the H Gate Shifter to replace my old and trusted T500RS, T3PA-Pro Pedals and TH8A Shifter setup which I ran for almost 10 Years.
It says on their site the wheel is compatible with the following... The steering wheel for Gran Turismo DD Pro is compatible with: PODIUM Wheel Base DD1 (QR1 Wheel-Side required*) PODIUM Wheel Base DD2 (QR1 Wheel-Side required*) PODIUM Wheel Base DD1 PS4™ (QR1 Wheel-Side required*) ClubSport Wheel Base V2 (without four additional D-sticks) ClubSport Wheel Base V2.5 CSL Elite Wheel Base (without four additional D-sticks) CSL Elite Wheel Base V1.1 (without four additional D-sticks) CSL Elite Wheel Base + - officially licensed for PS4™ CSL DD Wheel Base Gran Turismo DD Pro Wheel Base So yes mate! :)
question if you can help karl,i ordered my csl wrc dd kit from fanatec over a week ago and by the looks of things still not shipped, have you had experiences with delay from endor/fanatec before.
I have been waiting on my DD pro and received an email from Fanatec about 5 days ago saying it is stuck on a container ship and they now expect me to have it around April 7. :-(
I ordered mine last sunday and it comes this friday, but this is inside europe so its fast to me. They seem to do good/fast in their end (fanatec)... Maybe cargo overseas and all is jammed now
Yes pedals or better. I don't have the Load cell kit. The brake is quitte heavy but much better then G29 pedals. Also mounted the DD Pro on my Playseat Challenge, I must say it is stable enough for me!
I have the fgt lite seat and the g923... I've been contemplating upgrading to this but I'm worried it's too much of a wheelbase for the seat. Any thoughts?
I just ordered one last night before watching this video. I think the company needs to do a better job at clearly stating how to make the setups compatible with both PS and Xbox. If it weren't for reviewer videos like yours that specifically say you need the playstation compatible wheelbase coupled with any of the xbox ready steering wheels for complete compatibility then I still wouldn't know. I probably would have bought the PS wheelbase by itself with an Xbox compatible wheel and the $300 pedal set instead of 8nm PS bundle with the loadcell upgrade. Now I'll have to shell out an additional $200 for the xbox wheel if I want to let my son use it on the xbox. I hate that microsoft didn't make xbox 100% compatible with PC stuff. there is no need to have that division. I'm tired of seeing everything compatible with PS and PC or Xbox and PC. If it's compatible with PC at all then it SHOULD be compatible with the xbox, but they never are. its a silly little scam.
Can someone please tell me what the difference between the CSL DD 8 nm and the Gran Turismo DD Pro Wheel Base is? Because there is a price difference of about 150 € although the only difference is that the Gran Turismo DD Pro has PS support. So wehen I am playing on PC there is no reason to buy the Gran Turismo DD Pro right?
Question my DD pro came on the 19th and will not stay centered it’s leaning 3 to 7° to the right it’s messing with my OCD this is really annoying to me do you no how to fix it? Or do I have to send in to get a replacement because it’s really annoying it’s giving me anxiety

Boosted media has a good comparison. Obviously they don't compare but I've been impressed by the amount of information coming from the dual sense vibration and trigger resistance.
Sorry when I said "console support" at the start of the video I meant PS support, the CSL DD also of course works on Xbox with a compatible wheel.
The GT DD pro works with Xbox also you just need an Xbox comparable wheel

I contacted Fanatec support, and suggested that actual photographs showing the cabling setup, would be a massive improvement. I have set up many peripherals in my time (I'm 61), and yet found this really confusing.
I have it for a week now on my Playseat Challenge and love the DD together with the boost kit, Formula v3 wheel and V3 pedals. Like you said, i think as an console Ps5 user, this is the ultimate set for me and no futher upgrade needed as an console gamer (i think). I did buy the indigolime reinforcement kit just for sure.
Enjoy mate, a great setup! :)
works well with that seat ?? trying to decide what to choose. playstation is in family room, computer in a different room. could do a rig type, but would need to have it portable, since it would be in the main tv viewing area
@Jean-Philippe Duplantis I have the gt lite here now, with a t248 thrust master wheel. Today was the first to connect it to a computer. It's a pita to get through a doorway... Lol.
@Jean-Philippe Duplantis probably going with the f gt on casters or a gt track or similar 🤔
So the regular brake pedal is heavier than the Logitech one?
@@mArvAlcao71 Yes it is a bit heavier.
dumb question probably, sorry. this setup is worlds better than the g29 or thrustmaster ?? (haven't used a wheel since a microsoft ffb a bazillion years ago)
@@JoelSc14 GT DD Pro is a direct drive wheel, miles better than the belt/gear driven wheel found in Thrustmaster/Logitech wheels
@@mArvAlcao71 thanks, sounds like the way to go. now looking at wheel stands/rigs. heh.
Yeah I can see how that might be a thing with how it feels.
Hi Karl, do you have a video were you mount the GT DD Pro to the Playseat Trophy?
Think I might buy it. Been talking about it for awhile in your comments.
Yeah it's a decent little package mate :)
Nice review. Definitely get the optional load cell brake.
It's really just down to your budget mate, more torque is always nice but not essential, a load cell pedal upgrade would be first on my list.
Your right I have a dd2 and have ffb down to 20 percent so if I did it again I would think about even a dd1 or that one .thats a great price to get racing
Nice review! What cockpit model is in the video?
The new Playseat Trophy (review on my channel).
Thinking of buying this since I discovered G27 does not work on PS5... only bummer is that I have a Playseat Challenge. However I came across your Playseat Fanatec CSL DD Challenge video which convinced me to just give it a go!
Same problem here. Want the PlaySeat challenge with this wheel. @karl do you thing it will work?
My link is global mate, if there are any discounts they are not in my control, I didn't actually think there was so EU customers must have got lucky! lol
Love your vids man. Been debating upgrading to this from a G29. Decisions decisions lol
I made the switch from g29 to this with the 8nm power supply and never looked back.

Great review Karl! Mine just came in last week along with the Next Level Wheel Stand 2.0 and it’s been a great combo. You definitely helped in my search of my first setup and I couldn’t be happier
Great to hear Austin :)
say, what do you use for a seat with the stand ?? thanks looking at the same stand possibly
I feel for you mate!
@@KarlGosling I also just received my eBay handbrake which you reviewed on one of your videos before 👍🏼
If you're not in a rush then wait mate.
@@Martin-vn9fr my upgrade will be to a direct drive
I would wait. I started with the T300 GT edition and after that i upgraded to the T-GT with TLCM and SF1000 wheel. That was a really great set up, so you do have still some great upgrade options in the Thrustmaster ecosystem and later this year the DD base. I could not wait anymore for the DD base from Thrustmaster, that is the only reason i did sell everything and went with Fanatec DD Pro
Love your videos Karl. 👍🏼
Glad you like them!
Bought this wheel and pedal set and next level racing wheel stand 2.0
Never even tried car simulator lol
@Fionn MacCuill I think we are okay :D
Great video Karl, but just a quick question how much extra is it to get it delivered into the UK as I'm from the UK as well mate
I got mine last week. It cost me around £120 to get it in the country. Basic DD Pro came to £508, so around £630 all in.
@@Daztardly ok thanks mate
hi there, how much did you pay for the delivery and how long did it take to get to you ? I really want to get one but its not as easy to buy as the thrustmaster
I was sent it for review mate.
What would you say is the best foldable rig to mount this set to? The Playseat Challenge or the Next-level Eacing (f)GT-Lite?
Both perform the same in my testing.
so how do i add a clutch and a manual shifter later down th eline? I like being able to shift manually with the clutch and all. Of course paddle shifters are cool to for the right cars
Just buy the Fanatec shifter and clutch pedal or load cell brake.
@@KarlGosling thank you!
How's that Playseat holding up with the DD wheel? Do you think the Next Level Racing DD wheel stand is a better choice?
Yeah it's fine as the wheel isn't that strong.
Two very different setups mate so can't really compare.
Cheers!

grat videos ! i've been checking out a lot of them recently
as a novice with sim racing (i just really enjoyed dirt rally 2.0) i ws wondering if anyone had some good suggestions on what kind of cockpit would work best with the dd pro.
a bit entry level but something solid enough as i don't expect to upgrade from this setup..
thanks in advance
Something from the GT Omega range is good value for money (my discount helps too, code KG5), I would go with either the ART or Titan if you can afford it.
@@KarlGosling many thanks for the reply, it's much appreciated. your videos are a great help. please keep up the good work!
The wheel looks like a toy and feels like a toy. I would wait until they just sell the wheel base DD Pro. Great video!
Would have been a day one purchase from me if their wheel design was better.
Hi Karl, great video as usual.
May I ask a question: would/could you do (if you have the time/if it's worth your time) a video on what you do to learn a track?
I just literally race it, nothing more than that mate.
That's why I read the price in Euros mate, I have no idea what it is in pounds and my audience is of course global too.
I’m only familiar with Logitech and very new to Fanatecs DD wheels but this new GT bundle got me intrigued. But for the $800+ depending on the upgrades, do you think this is this the best bang for your buck? Thanks, Karl!
If it's in your budget then yes 100%, there are not really any other good option IMO at this price point.
@@KarlGosling Alright, great! I appreciate the reply! Your Next Level Racing “foldable” Lite chair review helped too. Might pair it with that.
Hi Karl, does your dd pro not centre when stopped?, mine is 3%out when wheel is centred properly
Not that I noticed mate, your in game car wheels would need to be perfectly straight for the wheel to be too, when not loaded into a race the wheel can sit anywhere it likes.
@@KarlGosling yeah this happens when moving as well, im on ps4 is they any way to adjust it on fanatec tuning on pc? Thanks for the reply

@@KarlGosling I really hope so. Felt like it was worth spending some extra cash now so I don't have to upgrade stuff immidietly
If I can consistantly control the brake to reach around 25% 50% 75%, do you think the LC would provide more precision and consistancy?
what i can buy to buit a cockpit? i mean to to put the steeting wheel and monitor like if i was in racing car
Sadly these things do happen, not just with sim racing gear but all products in life.

Update:
Fanatec made it all good, sent me a new pedal set. It works great! Additionally they sent me a return shipping label to return the defective part, which was cool because shipping stuff generally sucks. That made it a breeze.

"Bulls deep in the hobby" 😂 I told myself that. How wrong could one be 😂
I am planning on getting this set up for PS5, however I do not own a PC. Is it essential to have a PC to update the wheel and base or can it update while connected to the PS5?

It would yes!
Which pedals are better, these or the T-LCM's?
The LC version of these are IMO the better pedal set.
Were the VAT issues on importing the wheel to the UK?
No issues, but yes you pay VAT as you would on anything.

The brake pedal of the G29/G920 is much harder/heavier than the CSL one but the overall build quality of the CSL pedals is better.

Is it worth upgrading from the Fanatec CSL Elite to this brand new CSL DD Pro?
I have the fgt lite seat and the g923... I've been contemplating upgrading to this but I'm worried it's too much of a wheelbase for the seat. Any thoughts?
No it will be fine mate :)
If it's compatible with PC at all then it SHOULD be compatible with the xbox, but they never are. its a silly little scam.
at least Playstation stuff is compatible with PC these days
anyone playing on GT7 and telling if worth moving from basic brakes to their load cell add on ? Many thanks
I would say 100% yes if you can afford and justify the upgrade.
