I appreciate you so much. Being terminally ill, I won't get the chance to travel to the Channel Islands. My eldest sister is working on our family tree as our DNA has been linked with the Islands. Guernsey is such a lovely place and your drives and walks are close to almost being there. Thank you, Ross you are a lovely person.

We left the Island by boat but every time we returned it was by plane - so that road is very familiar to me. Great drive Ross.

@9:49, always get mixed emotions seeing the water tower on the right, when I'm arriving it's a reassuring landmark that says welcome to Guernsey, on leaving it's saying goodbye, you're actually leaving- next ground you walk on is the airport

2:07 was that a 1930 Austin 10 ? To me it's like driving through a Norfolk village, Filter system not in the UK but I see it's like a roundabout protocol ie give way to the right, correct me if i'm wrong and finally I spotted ANPR camera at airport, hope you don't start getting clean air zones or LTN's it's complete madness over here, Thanks for the lift.
Thanks for the video. In all the times i have been to the Island I have never come out of town that way to where you turned right at the traffic lights. Is that the road that comes past Catherine Bests shop ??

I am hoping to visit Guernsey this summer. I will need to depend on the bus system. Can you tell me if you think the bus is a reliable means of transportation? Should I depend on taxis instead?

Is there any public transport in Guernsey??
The buses are pretty good and frequent (especially during the summer), one single price independent of length of journey...the main bus terminus for St.Peterport is to the left at 2:27, ... other hubs are like the airport and L'Ancresse, and other 'tourist' hot spots
Yes there are busses, and taxi's. I found the taxi drivers to be very pleasant & informative, everyone seemed to love visitors. A delightful enchanting place.

it is ok going to your hotel from the Airport but i do not like going back to the Airport from the hotel as it means you are going home.
I remember we had a full solar eclipse in the 90's and I was being driven back to the airport when the eclipse happened. We passed that water tower you drove past as the eclipse was strangely eerie. Funny how you remember things.
