I could see that design becoming a surprisingly commonplace reality if commerical spaceships, interstellar colonies and interstellar shipping ever becomes a normal thing is several hundred years à la The Expanse, Star Trek: Enterprise or Ostranauts. Like I'm sure the people who made the first automobiles never would've expected big rig trucks to become so common even if they imagined fancy looking cars one day becoming a thing yet nowadays big rig trucks are super common. Like none of early big automobile compaby CEOs ever even imagined that pick-up trucks would become so commonplace. The first pick-up trucks were just modified Ford Model T cars.

Currently working on a W40K Thunderhawk Gunship, and late game I will be making a VERY SCALED DOWN version of a W40K escort class destroyer or a Capital class cruiser/battle ship. The "scaled down" is because in W40K escort class ships are 1.2km - 2km long and battleships are 16km - 20 km long.. lol. I'll just be chasing the aesthetic...

Ehhh it depend on the writer really i think the official stat say escort are like 500m long? While the battleship are 4-5 km long. Although there was that one old book that say imperial escort are 2km long which is bonker

We do! Some more smooth shaped structure would be cool. I’ve been thinking of doing one of those separatists cruisers from Star Wars but the shapes of starfield components makes it look a bit weird
I wanted to make a ship modelled off an A-wing from Star Wars but the minimum size of the ships in this game made it impossible. Would’ve been nice if you could’ve made smaller fighter type ships 😢
What’s cool is the fact the pelican was supposedly created in 2392, 62 years after Star field takes place, although they are in different universes because earth is still a living planet in halo
Don't forget about the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn. I made that ship from a tutorial. It looks legit in game, cool during take off scenes, and packs a punch

Can you imagine if people started to build ships from anime as well? Such as the Yamato from Star Blazers or the G- force's Phoenix ship (don't expect it to literally turn into a fiery Phoenix unless some modder can make it happen but that would be so cool. Heck, even making one of the Transformers that is a spaceship(transforming doesn't have to be included) would be cool! Literally any famous on screen ship from even Guardian of the Galaxy would be cool to see!
Bc of aesthetics of Starfield ships only a handful of ships can pull it off nicely, for instance the Pelican, drop ship from Aliens, Prometheus, to name a few.
It's a shame the outpost ship builder doesn't give access to location specific parts too, I'd love to mess around with ship building without all the jumping around to do it

all of the expanse ships and UNSC ships have been phenomenal.
I like the one that looks like a cage. It didn't have a center mass and enemies tend to aim for the center. So they kept missing!
