I'm pretty sure the tree seed is way better if you plant it on a resource tile. I did and got a tree producing 3 iron a day, it grew faster than that too
It will give the related resource it is planted on as well so it doesn't just work for iron
I was wondering why it felt like I watched this episode before lol. It was from your TH-cam stream.
If you plant it on cobalt or water you get 1 cobalt or 1 water. I've also planted it on 1 cobalt and 1 iron and got alternating 2 iron or 2 iron AND 1 cobalt.
Does it grow multiple on it? Or does it just grow multiple in one day if you detach the bit
Yeah, it'll grow up to 3 iron a day if you plant it on some unmined iron. However, it's nowhere near worth it - it takes a ton of time to grow even a single iron, and unless it's directly on your way to and from the mine and you find the seed super early, you're way better off just mining the iron in the first place. Even when it grows up to 3 a day, it's way too late to pay for itself. I think it needs a pretty big buff to be honest, it just feels like a waste at the moment.
thats last wave was questionably easy. i was expecting 6 giant siege drillers and 3 overlords with 3 pterodactyl accompanied with 10 small flying shooters
i just played my first game after buying it and the first enemies on the final wave were 2 of the big guys that are like 2x the size of your dome

And here I was thinking you had the big brain idea of keeping a cobalt next to base for if you found the tree seed. Then you found the tree seed after mining it out and I died a little inside.
The entire point of the tree is to plant it on an ore deposit, then the ore will spread to blocks, and whatever ore you planted it one will also come off the roots
Honestly did the final wave fairly planned ahead having stocked up on cobalt with the help of drillbert and the lift. Wish that the game didn't have the impenetrable blocks popping up around the mid to late part of the game which ruins the lift as a viable option having you end up choosing the teleporter with the material porting option
Clear the final wave and you get the "I came prepared" achievement, got that earlier today :P

The repellent wither active ability is incredibly overpowered, especially for how cheap it is. I'm sad he doesn't try it.

Also, tree is kinda cool, just plant it on the resources. Like you plant it on water you get water. And more recourses under the tree, more recourses you get from the tree.

personally i prefer the long days over the standard time youre given because i just feel like the days are too short for the larger maps. you spend most of your day just getting to the next mining area
for those maps teleporters is better than lifter

I think probe is good for short clear, not trying to go as long as possible, over the converter which is slow but give basically free ressource when you also have pyramid.

@@DirkvanBoxtel -1 iron into +5 iron over 2.5 cycles, so 4 iron every 2.5 days.
Using it with water condenser is basically the same but every 0.8 days (or was it 1.2? can't remember exactly, but I think it activated daily last I did it), so it *can* work without condenser, but it condenser is effectively a relic-based upgrade for converter.
You need to place the seed on a resource. I usually place it on water.
The tree seed works best if you plant it near multiple resource nodes then it generates TONS of material. If you just plant it in ground you get one iron every so often.

Paired with converter and turning cobalt into 10 iron might be hilariously broken, but I have never had a point where I had both tree, converter, and an easily accessible patch of cobalt.
I probably should stop mining them immediately unless I need more, just so I can try it if I get lucky.
@@SalamanderBSC From what I'm seeing about the tree, might be more worthwhile to plant it on a large seam of iron unless you can find somewhere with several cobalt really close to each other. Looks like the tree can grow more branches on larger seams with each branch producing 2-3 iron or 1 cobalt/water per day.
honestly the dissolve laser is just okay. with split laser and the second to last laser upgrade youre in great shape

for a guy that has played this game so much it amaze's me that you never plant the tree properly... if you were to plant it on a resource it grows a lot of that resource. ie. plant it on iron it grows a lot of iron pretty fast or water not sure if it works on the triangle but it should ...

The seed only works producing when you plant it on tiles of resources. The more resources together, the more resources it generates.
That felt easier than the enemys ive seen on other games you played

In order for the tree to do anything, you have to plant on a reasorce tile. and as the roots spread, boom, more stuf,f for free

Yes. Autonomy upgrade and fire endurance II on the stun laser, and just keep one of the small flying enemies around.
You need a cobalt (triangle) every now and then to repair (like every 5 minutes or so), but it's essentially an infinite wave whilst you go about your business.
@@finalscore2983 Getting both the speed upgrades also completely shuts down the flyer so that you never have to repair, but that may not really be worth it unless you're finding basically no cobalt (Even speed 1 isn't enough (though that does reduce damage over time by a fair bit) - it needs the cooldown tracking from speed 2 to fully prevent damage, but that does mean you can avoid getting speed/carry upgrades at the cost of tedious retrieval)
The downside to doing this is it completely stops all cycle-based things - resource converter / water condenser / tree all seem to cease working, and lift only works for movement speed (which is itself not really needed anymore either)

Big Brain idea right here. Probably a good strat for the 20min run. Just restart with stun laser upgrade, rush autonomy and speed and cooldown, wait for a wave with a flyer and then farm away.
@@SalamanderBSC Sadly the devs planned for this and now every 30 seconds that pass two normal melee enemies spawn, preventing this from working unless you go back up every 30 seconds to kill them. However it is possible using the Teleporter in addition to teleport back up every 30 seconds or so, and using the split laser to kill them.
Plus the stun laser deals a pitiful amount of damage, but they still deal damage. Thus the flyer will actually die eventually, resulting in the wave ending. So it doesn't last forever.
You made this whole strategy to beat the final wave meanwhile “Real Civil Engineer” did it before you while casually playing the game
Kinda anoying when youtubers don't read the instructions given by the game and then get mad that the thing they used wrong didn't do what they wanted
you can clear final wave if you are smart enough to get right strategy for every enemy in the end

it was being used for the repellant so it only produced one usable water in like 2 days, but yea he coulda upgraded it for more water
@@killerflush253 I've had a fully upgraded condenser with the overcharge thing. It's not really worth bothering with (just take more water or infinite overcharge, not both)
Especially in this run where days are effectively 4 times as long due to the repellent + long cycles, he'd basically be getting one water in the same amount of playtime as 8 days in a 'regular' run.

It's a bit of hyperbole / assumptions in the title - the final wave is normally so much larger and deadlier than the ones before it, that people assume it is just endless - but it *is* possible (actually seems to be easier on larger maps, due to having more weapon upgrades at the end)

Everyone I saw discovering the eye teleporter seemed to think it is one use only, but actually it does recharge pretty fast ! It is kinda frustrating seeing them not use it haha

You need to put the seed on the resource you want
One way is inf use you just can’t go back through it
yeah lift is pretty bad post lift-nerf
Remember, repellent should be used as soon as possible and the one way teleporter just means that you can teleport to its location but not back to your previous location
Little facts:
Squares are iron
Circles are water
Triangles are cobalt
Also you can tell how hard it is to dig through the rock by looking at the density of rock your digging through.
For example some rocks are fully filled in while some only have a few circles.
What difficulty is this by the way?

You need to put three sed next to resource node. It will produce resources every day, after 3-4 days of growing.

this final wave with 10 monsters kkk, this game is awkward, i just got a run on normal with 114 monsters killed, and your run on hard barely 80 monsters
